Falling In Reverse - "Last Resort (Reimagined)" | REACTION 

I’m a 63yr old Aussie mum who never heard this song before this came out and didn’t know who Papa Roach were, so this was my introduction to this song and I did go and watch the original after seeing this stunning version. The original was definitely a song of its time, and this is an amazing homage to a song that so many of you have an emotional attachment to. I think that this is the way it always was intended to be, where the serious lyrics are just stunning but get a little lost in the Papa Roach song. Ronnie’s musical brain never ceases to amaze me, he is a genius.

Glad to see a reactor who came into this knowing the lyrics and the depth of them in the original even though the original masked the depth by angsty punk vibe of the instrumental and style of delivery. I'm old so my angsty years where Zeppelin. AC/DC, Pink Floyd. I heard this song a lot in the early 2000s and it was a vibe despite the dark lyrics. This version I really felt the lyrics.

I think Ronnie gives the text the right, worthy framework. The Papa Roach version is too rocky for the seriousness of the lyrics. That's exactly what Ronnie conveys in this song, the pain and the fight with and against evil thoughts. Surely only people who have psychological problems and fight their demons every day can understand this. How often her mental world collapses and threatens to bury her. How many times do you think, “I can’t go on like this” and fight your way out, only to find again and again, “Nothing is okay.” But you keep fighting, every day. They fight with all their strength against being buried under their collapsing world. The sad thing is that too many people lose this battle, ultimately running out of strength and being buried under their collapsing world.
