Ronnie wrote this song in prison after looking at his reflection in a mirror, he’s his own chaos his own struggles hence the title The DRUG In ME Is YOU, it’s about himself not the girl. The girl is on the cover for the album.Some watch the video and think the song is about the girl! So glad to see your reaction - and you are not wrong nor are you alone liking the reimagined version much more, than the original - even though you appreciated that one also. I enjoyed your review. There is another thing that I thought I would share, that makes FIR & Ronnie a little different and that is Ronnie's connection to his fans. Ronnie is a gamer and he would stream live and talk with fans. There are many RU-vid videos of this. He also would react to reactors watching his videos - he wants to know what people think. But then there is his sarcastic sense of humor, a side of Ronnie where he roasts EVERYONE - including himself. It gets him into a lot of trouble because people think he is serious and he really is not. Suggestion: lookup 'Ronnie roasting himself' on RU-vid. There are 2 videos, one from 2 years ago, titled 'Ronnie roasting himself''. This one is when he was streaming and he watched the original video of 'The Drug in Me in You' - good lord was he brutal. HAHA. I had tears. 🤣 Then there is a 2nd video about 8 months ago of Ronnie watching the video of him roasting himself - Anyway - the original roast set up an 'inside' joke that is now part of every concert when he sings The Drug in Me in You (the original). He sings it 'that way' and the audience sings it 'that way' (you will understand if you watch the video). And it's those inside jokes, Easter eggs that are in his videos (the girl in the blue dress from his original album), little disses to others, to himself, running themes from song/video to song/video. It all connects the fanbase with Ronnie and the band in a way that is a little different than others. I've been around for a few years and have followed many bands - but this has been a new and different experience with Ronnie. I feel he achieves something that not a lot of musicians/bands achieve with their fanbase. But now that the fanbase is growing, I'm interested to see how that will continue. But either way, I am here for his music. Cheers!

Thank you for appreciating Ronnie's growth and not harping on his past like alot of people. He's an amazingly talented artist and a great person if you ever meet him. Visionary even. Liked this reimagined better than Vampire but go the other way on the originals. Sean Rooney did a great job on the piano, think he did all 3 songs including Last Resort. Seems Ronnie might be able to play it but I've never seen that done. Thanks for the reaction.
