Quick summary: Fallout 1 and 2 happen in California. Fallout 3 and 4 happen on the east coast (DC and Boston). Fallout New Vegas is... well, it's in Vegas. And the show happens 9 years after the start of Fallout 4, the latest game.

Lucy's brother Norm is definitely a standout character for me in a positive way. I can't wait to see more of him in season 2 🤘

In the Fallout universe the bombs fell October 23, 2077 Saturday morning. The first nuke hit the east coast at 945am and the west coast right after. For 2 hours bombs continuously fell on the US. and China. Although we only see 4 nukes drop on L.A., one can only imagine the hell on Earth those 2 hours must've felt and looked like. Although the show changed the time of the bombing, still the same day just later on in the day, it still did amazing in capturing the panic, anxiety, and stress in just those few moments.

I don't recognize the actress who plays his daughter "Janey". She did a terrific job because her reaction and expressions when the bomb fell was heartbreaking.

There's nothing stopping you from waiting a week to watch the next episode. People shouldn't be upset with Amazon over their own lack of self control. Edit - And I don't mean you two specifically, you acknowledged your lack of self control lol. It was a general statement.

I'm not familiar with you guys, but I'm 5 minutes in and I can tell that dude on the left has a good soul, lol, he is shocked and appalled by the turn of events when the bomb drops.

No spoilers, but guys- the whole season is great. There's maybe one slow episode, but you don't really notice it that much. Thanks for the reaction!

This might be subjective, but the show has something many shows don't, even to fans, is that it has rewatch ability, which adds to the experience. Every time you see something new and catch something you missed even on your second watch through, I find that to be incredibly unique and a sign of incredible writing. Neither the viewers, nor the actors are being spoon-fed, and it shines through. Now we just need to wait for the Navada DLC (season 2).

You guys are going to be in for a crazy ride. I watched this with my mom and she loved it.

I completely agree, they should have released 1 episode per week. The amount of buzz it would have created is mind-blowing. It was nice to binge-watch, but they could have increased the viewing audience just by people talking about it, missed opportunity. Still a great show, looking forward to watching you guys react to all of it.

TBH, there's positives and negatives to weekly and binge releases. I'm fine with both. There's so many shows to check out today that it literally feels like not enough time to watch everything when it all releases. If I'm already watching several shows on different platforms during a certain period, I don't like to start a new series or another season until I've finished a previous show/season. Depending on if I'm really enjoying the show and it's so good that I can't wait to get to the next ep, I'll binge it. I don't sweat over the wait time b/c I always have another show ready to watch, whether it's an older series I've never seen or a new series that just came out. These streaming platforms take risks with dropping weekly/binge releases and there's no guarantee of another season happening if the show isn't good from the start. Yes, you may want to have that weekly draw and anticipation but some shows don't need that. Nowadays, shows are getting early renewals before they air or immediately air after high viewership. Some may take a bit to get that renewal and others unfortunately don't find a wider audience as anticipated, and that can happen w/a binge or weely release. Plus, I'm a person that doesn't like spoilers so the binge model can be a nuisance for this but I've also have ways to avoid them as much as possible. And just b/c all eps release at once, no one says you have to watch all at once. For some weekly shows, I'll miss out on 3/4 eps and when I finally get back to that show, I'll binge several eps. It's a matter of how you go about it. Whether people like it or not, the weekly/binge releases presents options for many people. Not everyone is able to watch the day/night a new ep airs. That's fine. You watch them when it's convenient for you. Great thing about Fallout is that it's a really good series and Amazon has renewed it for a S2, which will likely have a weekly release.

So, even the way the nations stockpiled nukes in Fallout is different from reality. While in the real world we kept developing bigger and deadlier strategic bombs, in the Fallout universe, the powers focused on producing hundreds more tactical warheads, all of roughly equivalent power to the bombs we dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. That's why so many of them were dropped. 12:33 That was a Stimpak, the primary means of healing in the Fallout games. I think Kyle Hill did a video on then once to explain the kind of horrific things a Stimpak would have to do to be able to heal injuries the way it does in game.

I actually like series being released at once. You can still rewatch it any time.

I'm glad they dropped the entire season. That used to be the nice thing, along with no ads, about streaming. I'm also more likely to lose interest while waiting if i come across something else I'm more invested in. Either way, though, it was a fun watch.

If I produced this series I would release it all at once too. If I’ve learned anything from Star Wars it’s that fans speculate too much and become gravely disappointed when their expectations aren’t met.

Great reactions! Something that keeps playing in my mind is how much like our current reality the politics are. There are literally billionaires today that want THIS future. There are survivalists who can't wait for Mad Max to be reality. The subtext of the consequences of capitalism and fanaticism is the real prism to view the Fallout universe through. It is satire on reality. In many ways we are a few seconds from this future.

I was hoping you would watch this show. It's excellent and really good opening episode 9.5/10.

The good thing about this show is that its timeline is after any of the games, so anything that happens in the show does not spoil any of the games and is not connected in any way though there are a ton of Easter eggs

I just finished going through the whole season the other day, it is such a great show! Also, The Ghoul is an absolute badass, best character in the show in my opinion! Also, don't know if you guys take recommendations for shows in the comments, but if you wanna react to another awesome series after this, I recommend the show For All Mankind. It's one of the best sci fi series ever that no one talks about enough

If you really enjoyed 3 and 4 and nv then 75 can be tough to enjoy. Luckily they added a bunch of npcs that were there on launch which made the world feel empty. But to make the game work for multiplayer they had to make changes. For example i hate that at level 10 you can get a level 10 shotgun and modify it. But then at level 15 it becomes worthless and you have to find the same shotgun but a level 15 one.

i'm stoked for two to continue

I'd say season 2 will be weekly now that they've quickly ascertained that people are big into the show. Game adaptations are still a risk.
