@@WarpReactor If you only watched a couple of episodes of Arcane, you didn't get to Ella Purnell yet since she is a voice actress in episodes 4-9. She was really good in that too. I remember after watching Arcane I actually looked Ella up because I was so impressed by her vocal performance. So I knew who she was going into Fallout and her playing Lucy was a major draw for me.
@@WarpReactor to be honest, they look a bit jankey in a few scenes, lacking weight, very obviously vacuformed plastic pieces, but those scenes are very rare. Great job in believability overall.
The Expanse is one of my favorite shows because of the AMAZING writing. Fallout is rapidly climbing up my charts for the same reason, and it will be more evident with each episode. It's just REALLY smartly written, great pacing, great dialog, all of it. (plus great acting, sound design, sfx, practical fx)
We’ll see where they go with it. The big event in s1e8 was… underwhelming. Some of it is just tongue in cheek humor about silly things that happen in the games, but if struggles when it gets serious.
18:28 China was the main communist threat in the Fallout universe by the time of the bombs falling. While the Soviet Union (as it remained in Fallout) was still an enemy, relations were cool enough that a Soviet diplomat from the consulate was accepted into a vault, and their grand-daughter was actually one of the 3 pre-made characters you could select in the original Fallout game.
Finally I can see someone else gushing about this whole package! I've been going crazy at the greatness of this show! and I never played any of the games! On paper I think your intros and outros can feel a little campy, like with the dog. but you're skirting that line like it's nobodys business! I love it!

Ella Purnell, Lucy's actress also did an amazing job as the voice of Jinx one of the "tagonists" from the show Arcane. Another amazing extremely well done show from a videogame. If you haven't seen it that's something I'd love to see you react to. Season 2 is coming out soon.
It's a real pity they didn't drop this one episode per week. It would have dominated the conversation for eight weeks instead of several days, and the speculation and discussion between episodes is a big part of the fun for good shows. I agree that these days a service dropping an entire season all at once is usually a bad sign because it raises the concern that the creators don't believe in their creation themselves.
Maximus basically Han Soloed that radio convo about sending support :) Discount John Boyega turned to be a great actor. Great job showing someone trying to be an honorable knight, while constantly falling into much more simple emotions and needs.
Not just deviled eggs, but 220-year-old deviled eggs, packaged before the war. (Yech!) It's the one food item I can never bring myself to eat in Fallout 4.
You know how In a recent Expanse reaction, you said you were pissed off that more people aren't aware of the show and it's quality, that is me for Ella Purnell's character in Arcane, not to mention every other character, the music, the animation, the story... I should probably stop there or I'll be here all day. My point is you should watch Arcane lol.
Great reaction as always brother! 1) great Total Recall reference 2) I second others call to watch Arcane. I think Fallout really takes a page from how they handled that show, new story set in a know world. They get the details right so it works. 3) Bethesda released all the main characters SPECIAL stats, but I disagree with Maximus’ stats. He’s a total Endurance/Luck build, with Charisma as his dump stat. 4) Cooper/Ghoul is metric for the wastelands effect on someone. Everyone is worried about how the surface will affect Lucy…The Ghoul is the worst possible outcome.
You mentioned that you enjoy seeing great acting done by young actors just breaking into TV shows.... you really should check out The Wheel of Time the acting is amazing.
There is two type of streamers the ones who like to bindge and then the other type that likes to stream but prefers the 1 a week version so you can talk about the episode at the water cooler.
Lucy’s great she sands better with an American accent. She’s from Whitechapel London former home of Jack the Riper the fallout location is an improvement . . . Without the American accent she’s almost pure cockney . . .
I agree, there are a lot of video games out there with great story lines. Too bad the wrong people got a hold of Halo and ruined it's live action adaptation.
