The only female companion in vanilla Fallout 2 is Miria (the butcher's daughter in Modoc), but she's totally useless. In Restored game, you can recruit Kitsune in EPA. But as her prime abilities are Sneak, Lockpick and Unarmed, there are better choices. There is also ad-on to Restoration Project which turns some NPCs into recruitable companions. Including Lara (from Den) and Angela Bishop.
Yeah, Miria and her whole herky-jerky family, I think she doesn't even improve with your character leveling up. Kitsune sounds like one of the ninja characters that would fit in with the SF crowd. Pretty cool, but I agree with you on her usefulness.
