i remember when this first came out stay overnight at my grandmothers. I was playing this while listening to GNR while she was singing along and laughing at me blowing people up. Good times. Grandmother was based, i miss her. Good memories.
That’s cool. Thank you for sharing your awesome memory of your grandmother. Sorry for your loss, she was obviously an awesome grandmother. It’s cool that fallout 3 brought happiness to so many different people. It’s such a niche game that appeals to multiple generations. I hope you are doing well in life man. Keep collecting bottle caps
Yea, even though I'm not a monetized channel yt will sometimes put ads on the vid regardless - it's unfortunate but there's nothing I can do, glad u didn't get ads tho :)
Yeah I went there the game sucked me up into an alien ship and I didn't have anything but my fists to fight them off with. I kept dying, was never able to finish the quest so I loaded an earlier save to get out of it. I hated Starfield's quest "Entanglement" as well. It required more short-term memory than I was able to lend to the puzzle. I am 66 and short-term memory is on point here so I wound up deleting the entire game after paying $100 back in September when it was brand new. Bethesda should add a disclaimer about older people or something... for real.
@@sid3954 Younger generation here, I take these things into account when building software (started my own company two years ago). Cognitive ergonomics. Wish more companies would do the same as well, accessibility is really important.
You are approached by a frenzied Vault scientist, who yells, "I'm going to put my quantum harmonizer in your photonic resonation chamber!" What's your response?
Fallout 3 was my first introduction into series. There are so many fond memories of trying to get into downtown Washington DC through the catacomb- like subway and getting lost; getting abduct by aliens; accidently getting dogmeat killed and having to reload my game from my last save; and finding Harold... ah good old memories
Same here after completing fallout 3 100% about 5 times ended up playing new vegas and spent easily 1000 hours playing got fallout 4 then fallout tactics and fallout 2 before fallout 76 absolutely fan of the series (except 76 just meh) and now just waiting for the fallout London mod to drop
I used to try to decorate my little house in megaton with all kinds of random cool objects and gadgets and guns I found across the wasteland just to make my house look cool and lived in.. lmao
@@finlandd Yeah, when a couple of these songs were getting made "videos" were still considered "moving pictures" which one could view in a "nickel odeon" for, well, a nickel!
These songs were popular before Fallout. Otherwise they wouldn't be here. I don't think that it really matters to either of them since dead men can't get paid other than their names.
Almost brings a tear to my eyes remembering the easier days as a kid playing Fallout 3 hours on end, wandering to these songs. These songs now have even more meaning to me. They're really quite beautiful and have helped me out in rough times. I'm glad this game introduced us to such a special genre of music from a period long before us. Bethesda nailed it!
True. I never really got to play it, but as a child I watched my uncle play it for hours and these lively songs with the empty wasteland gives such a strange feeling. I remember when days were simpler, and these songs give me that nostalgia.
Man what I wouldn't give to go back. It's funny to think I use to wish I was an adult and now that I am all I wanna do is go back. What a hell of an existence..
Hi, sorry for being off topic. I'm an aspiring animator and I've recently released a Fallout New Vegas animation that took me 5 months to do, but RU-vid doesn't promote my videos so I have to do it myself. I'd be glad if you come and have a look :)
Turned the radio off one time and immediately turned it on again, my ten years old scared ass would not finish fallout 3 if there wasn't galaxy news radio
Yep, the second you turn the radio off and listen to the ambient music? You realize you’re alone; underpowered, in a wasteland that wants nothing more than to chew you up and spit your bones out into the sands Even worse when you turn the radio off and immediately hear the fast approaching pitter patter of clawed feet before you get your anus evacuated by a Deathclaw ninja
god, i haven't heard these in ages, brings me back to when 12 year old me was walking about the wastes, dogmeant in tow and an inventory full of cigarette boxes to sell and teddy bears for my collection in megaton, good ol days they were....
44:26 you had to stay in your Megaton house if the jukebox started playing this while simultaneously listening to Dogmeat’s panting and Wadsworth’s thruster
@@net_and_chilllol the first game on my Xbox 360 was cod world at war, but as soon as I saw my cousins playing fallout 3 I jus knew I had to get it myself next 😆
Seeing all you vault-dwellers turned wastelanders makes me so happy and proud to have been one myself. Fallout 3 was the singular title I put the most hours into on the 360. What an experience... One of those you wish you could relive for the first time again. I still own this game on my PC, all these years later, still making a new playthrough every now and again. Fucking incredible landmark video game!!
I STRONGLY recommend TTW (Tale of Two Wastelands) mod, It adds Fo3 as an addon for FNV. Its amazing. Having DT in fo3 is really cool. and it runs amazing!
I remember watching my older brother play this game for hours occasionally letting me do a mission or just blow people up with just oldies in the background. It’s crazy that a game like fallout somehow kept the oldies alive with a younger generation it’s actually pretty cool
@@Bigmonto I just get weird looks like from my brother and I usually put an over emphasis on the sci fi parts of fallout. I’m a little cringey about it.
@@matthewtorres8860 try your best to get over that brother. You sound young and you gotta make that time count so try to embrace yourself and the things you like in life and chase em don’t hide em. Much love fellow fallout fan.
So many good memories from this game but most of all it makes me miss my brother. He’s not dead or anything but we used watch each other play for hours. Now we’re all grown up, out of the house and living our separate lives. I think I’ll invite him over this weekend to visit the wasteland for old times sake.
My grandparents listen to this music before they passed away. They were born in the 1920's and my grandfather fought in world War 2. His rank was equivalent to today's Staff Sargent(ranks were different back then). He passed away last October and my grandmother just passed away two months ago. They lived long and happy lives. Listening to this music reminds me of them.
Kids have no memory of what a massive improvement Fallout 3 was over Fallout 2, or (more importantly, even) how revolutionary the soundtrack was. They didn't compose their own, they basically put together a fictional post-apocalyptic playlist from freely or cheaply available stuff. It was utterly brilliant, and set an incredible soundtrack for exploring that New Vegas and Fallout 4 copied.
@@kennichdendenn Literally 100% of the people I know who played through Fallout 3 did so with Galaxy News Radio as their background. I have no memory whatsoever of what the actual orchestral score sounded like.
Im pregnant right now and ive always loved listening to the soundtracks of fo3, 4 and NV (as well as jeremy soule's musical contributions to the elderscrolls series) and right now just holding the phone speaker up to my belly because i dont have those headphone things you can use on pregnant bellies but i hope my child likes this good ass music
December 2018, I was driving up north to visit some family in New York and figured I'd drive through D.C. since it was a small detour. Something felt missing so I played this in my car while I did a little sight seeing around the mall area. Great memory I have of this game.
The ink spots are forever cemented in gaming history this video is like a trip down memory lane as a kid thank you for making this video my friend love from Canada🍻🇨🇦👊
I truly believe that F3 is the greatest game ever made. I got it for Christmas in 2008 (I think...) and I still have my old 360 with several saved games. The atmosphere, the dried-out, blasted wasteland and the crumbling towns and cities. There's also the sunshine (it never rains) and adventure. I've played the game several times, and always finally ended up with literally no-one left and nothing more to do, just the odd Radscorpion here and there. Yet still I go back just to wander around. And the glorious music! What a game.
Just imagine a burnt, postnuclear world where a lonely jukebox keeps playing this very playlist, just as some kind of requiem for mankind, is all that remains of humanity. Someday, an A.I. or an alien visitor will find it just to wonder what it means and what it's creators were like...
Funny fact, I have hearing loss in my left ear. I only play this music into it so it sounds like it’s coming from an old-time record player. It’s amazing 🤣
My grandparents (both born in '33) raised me so I grew up listening to this kind of music myself. I loved the first Fallout games so I was suuuper hyped on 3 coming out, add this music and it is hands down one of my favorite gaming experiences, New Vegas being the best of all.
Nothing like waking up on a Sunday and no ones at home after a long work week. The sun's shinning after couple days of rain. Sipping some coffee to this mix, life is good. 👌
Fallout 3 4 and new vegas should be games kids from right know should play to build their musical taste and they are also so fun bethesda is the best game developer on musical choice
Саунд сделал эту игру шедевром!!!Смешанные ощущения разрушенного мира и прошлого-невероятны,неповторимы,реальны.Музыка сделала в этом процессе 90% работы!!!
Fallout 3 will always hold a special place in my heart as it's the first game out of the franchise that I started playing 12 years ago. These songs just make me feel so nostalgic remembering the good times where I'd sit for so long playing this game on Xbox 360 😂 ❤
God dude. This music gives me tears now. The lyrics meant nothing in my teens but in my twenties, after thousands of hours, I know the lyrics to almost every song and they mean so much. What a crazy emotion
Crazy how just over 50 minutes of music has kept me entertained thru thousands of hours of Fallout 3. Hands down my favorite of the series and banger after banger soundtrack
After so many years and years of Fallout and Elder Scrolls... I become a weird kind of sad listening to this... a good kind of kindered spirited sad.... and it really feels good but superbly nostalgic... oh god .. I dont really know if I love or hate these feelings ..😂😢 but i feel them anyway, and i come back for more every now and then😂😂😂 Blessings to you all! #2023andstillnoBombs😮
It's funny to think that listening to this makes me super nostalgic, obviously not because I was anywhere near alive when the songs were originally released, but because listening to it makes me relive the moments I had playing this game. And I didn't even play this game on release but many years later and it still feels nostalgic LOL.
I put 85 hours into this game and every minute was golden. I’ve 80/90% all the games. But fallout 3 is overall my favorite. Really wish the main story was longer. But I always found something new to explore
Always enjoyed these songs while playing Fallout 3, I'd often find myself singing or humming along to them. Very nice to have them all in one place and hear them again, thanks for this vid!
ya know whats funny ive heard all of these songs from my playthrough of the game but the songs dont get old, they just get better and they wiill always stay like that whether its going though metro tunnels, exploring megaton, or killing super mutants and raiders. It will always seem like i havent heard them before and that is what makes the songs special in a way that cant dscribe and everytime one comes on, it just fits the mood of the gritty, old, athestic that fallout 3 has and like its different from new vegas and 4 because new vegas has a western feel and 4 has a more modernized feel than the rest but 3 will alwalys be my favorite game out of the franchise
is good in any setting hahaha, i remember when after many years at least i was able to play it in ultra, the best memories are still in low setting and in bad spanish translation
This reminds me of those late nights in my room with my blanket over my head playing and the only light was the light from the pipboy. Those were the days 😌☺️
Civilization (Bongo, Bongo, Bongo) Song by Danny Kaye Lyrics Each morning, a missionary advertises neon sign He tells the native population that civilization is fine And three educated savages holler from a bamboo tree That civilization is a thing for me to see So bongo, bongo, bongo, I don't want to leave the congo, oh no no no no no Bingo, bangle, bungle, I'm so happy in the jungle, I refuse to go Don't want no bright lights, false teeth, doorbells, landlords, I make it clear (That no matter how they coax him) I'll stay right here I looked through a magazine the missionary's wife concealed (Magazine, what happens) I see how people who are civilized bung you with automobile (You know you can get hurt that way Daniel) At the movies they have got to pay many coconuts to see (What do they see, darling) Uncivilized pictures that the newsreel takes of me So bongo, bongo, bongo, he don't want to leave the congo, oh no no no no no Bingo, bangle, bungle, he's so happy in the jungle, he refuse to go Don't want no penthouse, bathtub, streetcars, taxis, noise in my ear (So, no matter how they coax him) I'll stay right here They hurry like savages to get aboard an iron train And though it's smokey and it's crowded, they're too civilized to complain When they've got two weeks vacation, they hurry to vacation ground (What do they do, darling) They swim and they fish, but that's what I do all year round So bongo, bongo, bongo, I don't want to leave the congo, oh no no no no no Bingo, bangle, bungle, I'm so happy in the jungle, I refuse to go Don't want no jailhouse, (shotgun) fish hooks (golf clubs) I got my spears (So, no matter how they coax him) I'll stay right here They have things like the atom bomb (so I think I'll stay where I am) Civilization, I'll stay right here
Three Dog said go see Travis in Dimond City. Travis said come see you. Now where's my Thomas O'Connor Bobblehead? LoL Thanks for these, bro! Well done.
I barely turn on the radio when playing Fallout 3 but the jukebox is always on in my *Megaton House*. Everytime i get home all this songs and Three Dog ranting through the whole house welcome me to my one and only safe heaven in the game.
My dad has Fallout 3 for the Xbox 360. I remember when I was kid I woke up and went to the living room and I saw my dad playing Fallout 3 and I always laid down on my couch to see him play. I remember hearing the songs and that’s when I fell in love with fallout.
Whenever I played Fallout 3 in Japanese, I was always glad the music never changed, good ol' English. Thank you for uploading, this brings back good memories! 有難う御座いまーーーす!! ❤ 🧡 💛 💚 💙 💜
I got to play this during quarantine. Fallout 3 was the first Fallout game I played. Yeah it was a little buggy/crashy ( and I had to put some random file in from a redundant windows online thing from the late 2000s lol) but I really enjoyed my playthrough. I really loved exploring the ruins of Washington, that American retro futurism style was very cool, and gretting around through metro lines and seeing where they took me and sometimes having this music playing really added to it in some parts. Also Dogmeat was a great companion and fawkes was a good one too. So many cool areas and some spooky or sad ones with great environmental details and storytelling.
@@AedanBlackheart Yeah the steam one is jank but tbh most bethesda games are janky no matter what you play them on so it's not a big issue. Everyone knows the bethesda related line of "it's not a bug, it's a feature". lol
I would like to in that “Great“ time, when that songs had played in the Radio. 😢 But… Thanks for that remember of THE BEST GAMES That WERE EVER MADE FALLOUT!!!!
Idk im looking for these vibes but im not sure if i will find them in starfield.. fallout is just such a masterpiece.. the time it plays makes it way more special
thanks Bethesda for showing how good and artful everything look in America back in the 50's.. i can't even describe it but just walking around in FO3, New Vegas and FO4 and listening to the music just feels so nostalgic even when i have no right to..
Music is crazy, over a decade since I've played this game, but listening to this teleported me right back to the Capitol Wasteland, like I was really there.
Who's here in 2024 because the Fallout show on Amazon rekindled a love for this game and it's world? Feel like I'm traversing the wasteland... But just sitting at my desk.
