If anyone wants free voice acting, I can do a great radio or television announcer voice, a decent badass Clint Eastwood-esque voice, and a few others depending on the situation. I personally try my best with inflection and proper emphasis, so my lines are likely going to be well spoken and appropriate. I record using audacity, and my laptops mic is pretty decent, but I can get a better one if necessary. Sorry if this seems like self-advertising, but to my perspective, it just bothers me when here is a lack of voice over in these mods, and I want to help out.
I've made similar comments on some of Al's mod reviews, but I'm starting to think you'd be more likely to get noticed on the Nexus forums. I haven't really looked into it but there's probably a thread somewhere in there where people can volunteer for voice acting roles. If not, then someone should make one. I'm sure there's tons of people like us out there who would be willing to take the time to lend our voices to mods. Imagine how many more mods would be fully voiced with a resource like that!
16:07 "What should I just point my gun at him and yell hands up this is a stick up?" Al: so I don't think the mod author's first language is English.. Me: the sentence is a complete sentence, it's just missing punctuation. "What, should I just point my gun at him and yell "hands up! this is a stick up!"?
Holy moth balls Al, a video on Tuesday? Yes once again you've confused me this week on your schedule shenanigans but it's Fallout and it's you so I'm good with that ;)
Did anyone else realize how old Vee-bee would have to be in 2277 Because wasn't it his dad who you play as or even his granddad doesn't really work Vee bee would still have to be super old in 2277.
A nuclear winter isn't a literal blizzard, it's when the fallout falls from the sky, filling the air and ground with ash, jamming all technology, killing all living things, and blocking sunlight. So why the hell is it snowing in the mod?
No. Nuclear Winter is climatic change _caused_ by all of the garbage blown into the upper stratosphere blocking the sunlight. The sun being blocked from the earth's surface would drop global temperatures to around 20F - 40F. Clouds form in the troposphere, underneath the stratosphere, so it would be perfectly reasonable to expect precipitation from storm clouds to be snow. I'd imagine that there would be less and less precipitation the longer that the cold temperatures lasted, because lower temperatures means slower evaporation, but there would be a lot of rain/snow right after a massive nuclear exchange, because the bombs would vaporize a lot of water, along with everything else.
wqeu24 Most likely the people developing it got enough of working on it for free. Quite a common issue with modding really, people take on projects that are WAY over their heads, get something done, get fed up with the project, and ditch it, publishing some "part 1" or "version 1" with no intention to ever complete it. I believe the main guy behind Project Brazil actually told other modders to continue to create stuff for the open-world part of PB, and stopped working on it. In Project Brazil, I think the dev-people should've just focused 100% on the Vault 18-part of it, so that there'd been content in that vault for a longer period of time before the uprising, or civil war or whatever you want to call it, and the story should've ended with the main character and companions etc. leaving the vault. That way it could've had tons more of the content it's at it's strongest: Vault life, A lot of people underestimate how interesting place a vault can be as an environment for a story.
wqeu24 It is still in progress, its just a lot of scripting and junk. They have announced they finished writing the mod they just need to finish making it all
rangerstationlegion me too, on their forum on the nexus they have a link to what is basically the mod's script and it shows how much is done. stuff in green is complete and stuff in yellow is being worked on. I check on it at least once a month, its slow but it has been progressing. these people do have lives of course
Love the Al's stupid reference to Metro 2033 (the Metro series is one of my favorites) but who else thinks that Al would be scared to play either of the Metro titles? Personally, I think Al would be too scared to play them.
It has it's moments, but it's nothing Al can't handle. The Remastered edition is only $50 so I don't see why not. It would be a nice break from the Fallout world as the New Vegas mods are occasionally great but mostly stale and amateur. Besides Al screaming whilst getting surrounded by Nosalis is quite an entertaining line of thought.
domfonce Yeah but he didn't know that. Plus then they would need two tickets which means they keep less food, then more water which gives them less food. Plus they have to go through everything they have to go through to get to the vault. And the dad will slow him down. Say the dad gets hurt. You think his sons gonna leave him in the metro to die? Nope. He's gonna try to take him with him. Which means it'll take longer to get to wherever they're going. And might not make it in time...so then they both die. The dad's a prophet lol. He saw all these possibilities and deduced it would be much wiser for his son to travel alone :j
+Sam Lemke A broad term that depends of one's meanings behind supplies and business. Let rational thought stand for supplies. Let the this plot stand for the businesses.
dylan light i remeber, those were good times man i remeber i was drinking, smoking poping and fucking whatever i could find. man, high school was a blast now im in college and the real world is hitting me like a ton of bricks and now no more daily al....the world is a cold hard place :(
I like them both. Fallout: New Vegas is a bit more lore friendly, but they explain all the changes to Fallout 3's lore in the game pretty well. so I wont complain all that much.
Xtoxin loli-necromonicon I haven't bought the game yet. Can you say that it actually works? It's not that I don't trust you, it's just I'm not ready to make a purchase on something I can't use.
Well, tbh I can't say for sure. The mod works different depending on the hardware your PC has. For example, I run FO3 on windows 7 ultimate edition 64-bit without any problem, but some users with the same OS as me were having problems. It's all in the hardware. But you can always pick the game up for almost nothing in a steamsale. Price goes below 10 bucks all the time. Maybe you can borrow the game and try the mod.
Xtoxin loli-necromonicon Well, I'm using an i7 3770 and a geforce gt 630 (bad combination, i know. I plan to upgrade) with windows 8.1. Do you think that might run it?
i7s are tricky bastards with FO3. But it's not a 4k processor, so it probably will work. i7s with more than 4k tend to have problems, without some tweaking in settings etc. You should go for it. Oh and if you're really unlucky and don't get it working there are at least 20 forums that will tell you how to fix. Google and that mod takes you to the right direction if neccesary.
They really couldn't put on anymore big gameplay changes to the already overworking past-gen consoles that are working at their limits to make Gta V to work properly
