I personally couldn't bring myself to modify Codsworth into anything other than a Mr. Handy. He's very proud of what he is and speaks only the best of General Atomics, so I couldn't bring myself to take that away from him. Instead, I gave him storage factory armor, a lightning gun, and put hydraulic armor on his arms. Something about it just feels right - he's still Codsworth, just more adventure ready! Ada however? She don't care what she is. She loves the upgrades. I turned her into a monster! I bring Ada with me when I need destructive ordinance. I bring Codsworth with me when I need a companion.

Sadly I think you lose the ability to keep his little bowler hat on by even looking to see what his upgrades are. Not sure if they've fixed that yet or not. ;-; Then again, I don't think I could bring myself to modify Codsworth. He's family. If he volunteered, that's one thing. But I love the ol chap just as he is.

I really like him with legs for some reason, and his comments suggest he's very happy when you modify him or other robots. When i upgraded Codsworth to the max, fps dropped to 5-10-15 on PS4. Looks like some of details can't handle on PS4, just like Just Cause 3 with big explosions lol

I think it might be an issue across the board. I was having trouble on PC (fps drops to like 20 and under from 60) for a while so I decided to just pick a direction a star walking and it kinder just fixed its self.

Crazyollie123 I had fps drop with Cryolator before they patched it in 1.03 and turned smoke from high to low. Yup, they never did test consoles before release until communities tell them about the problems. Im glad i got everything from the game, even got Platinum.

unfortunately due to the size of these games there are always going to be the occasional bug missed in development, at least nowadays they can be patched.

I'm planning on making a Military Droid. It will be completely militarized, with a gruff deep voice, a mini gun on his right arm with a flamer on the left. He will have a protectron torso and an assaultron head, with the Hydraulic Frame for a head. A dark green paint job, with the name: Apollo 27. He will be my traveling companion and when he is not, he will be the head of my settlement.
