Great to hear you are looking forward to seeing the rest of the build, thanks! I am not going for a too densely packed settlement for this one and will be leaving quite a few open spaces. Feel it fits better with the farm theme and that building too much would ruin the locations sleepy rural character. For the rough build I only remember having to reset the build limit once, so I guess it should at least perform well once done. Also leaves plenty of room for adding furnishing and decorations which can often fill up a full-size bar.

Yeah I can see that could be a bit of a problem, I like to think I build in a scrappy but neat style 😅

Great to hear you are enjoying the builds, thanks! My main goal is to do one of these vanilla styled builds at each location, but certainly after that I would like to like to try more modded builds and play around with different themes.

@@Thekillergreece I love the setting of Far Harbor and looking forward to building there at some point, just might have to find a weather mod before I do as I imagine the constant fog would drive me crazy while trying to build 😅.

Unfortunately I have never used Place Anywhere (don’t own an Xbox 😔) but from comments have been told it does not have all of Place Everywhere’s features. I believe the Workshop Timeout along with the Extra Object Selection modes are the main missing ones, and suspect they are probably why Place Everywhere requires the script extender to work on PC.

@@FiddleflapsVids That makes sense, console definitely doesn't have any script extender options, which is unfortunate but us peasants make do! Looking forward to the rest of build! Hoping for a Far Harbor one before 2024.

@@1234567paper I think there’s a good chance I’ll be heading over to Far Harbor well before the year has ended. All of its locations are pretty large and I don’t like to do big builds back to back, so plan to break them up by doing the smaller remaining Commonwealth locations inbetween them. Well, that’s the plan at least 😅🤣.

I sunk a floor piece into the ground to act as a snap point, you can see it being removed at 9:40 just after I place the wall.

Is that the name of the mod, "should be place anywhere"?

It’s all done by the _Place Everywhere_ mod, you can find a list of all its features and hotkeys to use them here: www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9424 The mod is unfortunately PC only as it requires the script extender to work, I believe the closest alternatives for console are _Place Anywhere_ (XBox) or _QwaPa_ (PS4).

The movement steps are changed using the _Divide_ and _Multiply_ keys on the NumPad, there is a full list of the mods functions and hotkeys on its NexusMods page - www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9424

I am not that familiar with what mods are available for the consoles as I only play on PC, so I am probably not the best person to ask 😉. I do remember from watching NoRespawn’s that USO (Unlocked Settlement Objects) and it’s various addons looking very impressive and would be a great choice, and QwaPa if you find the vanilla building mechanics and restrictions annoying: USO mods.bethesda.net/en/fallout4/mod-detail/3060618 QwaPa mods.bethesda.net/en/fallout4/mod-detail/4038979

@@FiddleflapsVids oh, really??? I have Place Everywhere too, I have tried but nothing happened… 🤔 mainly I play with Xbox Controller, so I disconnected it and tried with the pc keyboard

I also play with an Xbox controller and can use the keyboard without having to disconnect it, is your NumPad turned on?

@@missdovahkiin5652 So, just to double check your NumPad is switched on as those arrow keys wont work if its not (sorry to repeat but that’s the most common cause and has also caught me out before). When you installed the mod did you install any of the optional INI files? If so remove them as they are not needed and disable most of the mod’s features. You could also check in your ‘data\f4se\plugins’ folder to see if you have a ‘place.ini’ file, if so removing it should ensure all the hotkeys are enabled. Failing that I am not sure what to suggest, I have always just installed the mod never needing to change any settings and its always just worked.
