You know I see the logic in that now that you point it out. Is there any mods that simply disable Dogmeat from appearing until that quest? It's a little annoying to justify walking around Red Rocket just for that

@@thequestion2859 Unfortunately, not really... due largely to his importance in quests. Messing with quests usually leads to big problems. Believe me, I wish I could just remove the red rocket encounter altogether... but dogmeat is seemingly inexorably tied to that location. They even created special animations around the station for him. I just skip that location until after the "Reunions" quest.

Best part is I never take the power armor. There’s a way to cheese the deathclaw where he can’t land a hit on you ever

I haven't met Preston yet, already took the castle. I think I'm going to claim every settlement before meeting him

There's all kinds of different options. I completed castle before Preston asked me to and it changes the dialogue. But not as intense as this.

It's amazing how the story can change with all the things u do.

I'm just gonna be honest FO4 HAS THE WEAKEST choices in the quest line of all fallout games. If you think these different dialogue options are cool, you'll genuinely be MIND BLOWN by new Vegas , and FO3. please trust me. Those games have so so so much more detail and time put into them, it makes F04 look like a joke. I still play F04 and enjoy it, it's a good game, but when it comes to dialogue options, differential story lines and decision making , F04 is literally the weakest of them all
