Fallout 4 is a game that has many elements to keep things interesting and fresh, but what if you only focused on one element? Can you best F04 with only crafting? (thank you so much for your support!) #fallout4 #fo4 #challenge #gaming
The deadpan delivery of,"rewarded with the death of my wife." Got me. Had to do the engagement ritual to try and lift this man into the holy light of the mighty Algorith-mo right then and there. The world needs to hear this
A few things I want to say: Vault Suit is technically a quest item due to needing to wear it to progress the game. I feel that melee weapons and armor could be gathered for scrap. Mines can be disarmed without grabbing them, 1 button press to disarm, and then another to pick up. .45 rounds are very cheap at 2 steel and 1 fert.
All very valid points. I had a lot of those ideas in the run but didn't wanna change up the rules half way through. I won't lie when I say I was gonna make the submachine gun, but just kinda forgor about it.
[4:29] _"Question why there isn't a 'scrap all' button..."_ Because you don't need to scrap junk; if you place junk items into the work bench, it will scrap them as it needs them. [9:03] _"And face a trap that I just can't disarm"._ You can just shoot landmines to make them explode from a distance. You can also shoot at grenades mid-air as they're being thrown.
@@larsburrito lmao, without help? That'd be incredible. VATS will let you take aim at a grenade if you have line-of-sight with it, so long as it's still mid-air.
Story sucks, really disliked the overly simplified RPG elements and the complete lack of options dialogue wise, really good feeling gameplay though, and the visual design wasn't bad either.
All very valid points. But this game can still be fun to play. If I want more RPG elements and a better story, I go back to New Vegas. But Fallout 4 can still be heaps of fun, even with all the downsides.
The fertilizer used in making ammo would realistically be potassium nitrate, the main component in gunpowder. There's more stuff that goes into it but Fo4 doesn't really have charcoal or sulfur as crafting components.
One day I promise you that your account will gain the attention it deserves. You videos are entertaining and it’s only a matter of time before your popularity surges
Love your dry humour and commentary. Also seeing an Oshawott doing all of this is too funny! You keeping our eyes safe from the flashbangs solidify it. Subbed!
What a gem of a channel! For the gathering of fusion cores for vault 81, you could have built an eyebot pod (from the automaton DLC) and used it to gather some fusion cores. I'm not sure if this violates the rules of the challenge, but if it isn't you could have circumvented an exception.
12:40 if you're compensating with a pistol, you've probably got a world record and feel awful about it. (Worded this way to avoid going to the shadow realm.)
You should build wood shelf’s instead of post, they stack on each other and use the same amount of wood so you can just spam the build button until you run out of wood, scrap them and do it again
Tip. Around level 15 if you have the automatron dlc you can craft your own companions who are very helpful when you lack ammunition. And robobrain tracks are both tanky and fit through doors making them a perfect replacement for a sentry unit to fit anywhere and still be a powerhouse.
@@larsburrito glad to be helpful ^^. I play mostly survival so i stumble upon some useful info sometimes. I learned from your video that i can craft ammunition and about the secret bunker in sanctuary. I actually made most my robots from parts that dropped from rust devils and mechanists units. And robot repair kits are dropped by most automatron encounters.
If youre anything like me, the possible reason you thought the water producers had an inventory was from Fallout 76, as they have inventories in that game, if not I have no clue.
@@larsburrito Oh how I both miss that game, and don't at the same time, I'd be so much more interested in it if challenge runs were at all viable in the game
Originally this idea came from wanting to do it in Cyberpunk. But the Choom video needed to come out on April 1st, and I'm making sure to do more then just Cyberpunk. It won't be the next video (as I don't want the algorithm to connect me to "crafting") But it will be a vid in the future!
I had many speed up clips of them pumping out ammo, but I felt it muddled up the video. there was at least three times I set up the machines, and left to go do things while waiting for ammo XD
Fun fact, you can remove your vault suit early by transferring it into the red toolbox by the locked door outside the cryopod room. Removing it this way prevents you from putting it on until you get the pipboy.
Fertilizer for bullets makes sense because if its industrial mass produced fertilizer from pre war, it has sulfur in it and probably some potassium nitrate, which are 2/3 of the stuff you need for gunpowder, and even if not the good rule of thumb is if you use it for gardening it can probably go boom
3:57 I find it’s easier and less space consuming to spam shelves on a wall instead of fence posts. You can place all the shelves in the exact same spot so they take up almost no space
I always thought about if that was possible but never tried it! Amazing that you did that! Definetly subscribed ^^ How about Skyrim with only crafting (and gathering materials)? Or maybe modded older Fallout games to add a crafting system where you can make weapons yourself
Skyrim would be a blast actually! I think another Can you beat youtuber as already done it. But if I did it with similar rules to this video, they would still be very different! Thanks for the suggestion! ❤
Question about this challenge Would animal/human trap loot count as crafted since you built the box to capture them? This is one of those questions that could completely change how this run is done. Being able to trap monsters and animals for their meat would make healing quite a bit easier. if you allow junk collection from them, you could make a massive container where a bunch of ghoul boxes open into and have turrets fire upon them from above to have infinite junk. You could also scrap guns and armor from raider/gunner cages. Another important thing is if you're low on lead, there is the boxing area in the General Atomics Galleria that has a shitload of weights and dumbbells in it that all give lead when scrapped.
"My least favorite character in Marvel vs. Capcom 3" Brooooo you *CAN'T* do my boy NEMESIS like that broooo! He had to walk hes ass all the way to Fallout 4 world and sneak past Todd Howard to be in the gaaaame duuude! Y u bullying him like thid brooo? sm shaking h my shaking mh my shaking smh my heeeead broooo 😔
@@larsburrito Naaah bro, guy was a big green guy in a snappy outfit. That's Nemesis dude no doubt on god frfr straight fax no voicemail bro. He even got Megaman on assist you can see him hanging out like a lil guy hims the blue rubot. It's true ymy uncle is jon marvel cs. capcom.
FYI if you activate a landmine once it deactivates but if you click a second time and pick it up so if you only hit once on landmine it will only disarm
My brother. Many things at locations respawn, the reason the (cleared) tag disappeares from locations after a while, and some vendors have different item stock every so often.
So I highly doubt you'd ever attempt this, seeing as this challenge would probably be too difficult, but it's one that I think is insanely brutal and very difficult: Can you beat Borderlands 2 with only The Bane and the Fabled Tortoise? Rules: 1. The only gun you can use is The Bane (you can, however have multiple in different elemental flavors) 2. The only shield you can use is the Fabled Tortoise 3. OP10 Ultimate Vault Hunter mode, but if that's not reasonable, than basically any OP in UVHM (aka 3rd Playthrough) 4. Must try to do as much side content as reasonable (don't like do every quest, but at the very least do the Main Quest, the Side Quests that give you the items, and the DLCs) 4. Must attempt (I do not ask you to complete it because I'm not a sadist) the Lord of the Rings Easter Egg. 5. Have fun! I think this is an amusing challenge because it's going to change the way you play. Drastically.
