Absolutely gorgeous work here! The layout is awesome and the deco. is on point. Loving every little slice of it and really appreciating the, well worn, lived-in feel of the whole place. Beauty work!
This is nice! I've also made oberland station recently and it's always pleasant to see other people take on settlement. I could say that this is impressive!
This looks incredible. It must have taken FOREVER to build and decorate. Keep up the good work! P.S., I love the vibe of this one. It feels very metropolitan (which would make sense if Hanoi was your inspiration), like there should be a couple hundred people living there, instead of the odd dozen or so that you generally wind up with in game. I like the idea of a network of bustling, densely populated little towns all over the commonwealth, makes it feel a lot more lived in P.P.S., since it seems like you take inspiration from FiddleFlaps (just in the decision to use place everywhere only), i have to congratulate you on somehow managing to have a distinct architectural style thats all your own from them! Its really impressive seeing the same limited tool set used to such different effects
I'm glad you enjoyed it. You are right that I took inspiration from FiddleFlaps. His Oberland Station impressed me so much that I started building my own. In my first builds when I was still learning to build, I took a lot of inspiration from his style, and many things I just outright copied from his before I developed my own style and got better at building settlements. The decision to use Place Everywhere only is personal. I found most of the popular blueprints on Nexusmods to be either too nice, clean, or too well organised and industrial-looking. Of course, there is absolutely nothing wrong with building like that, but I just don't think it fits well with the theme of a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Also, many use a ton of mods. It's quite a hassle to install two dozen mods just for one settlement that you occasionally visit. I imagine others would find the same, so I create my settlements using no modded assets.
Love what you have done with the place! Really like how you have lit the stores running along the tracks with all the signs, makes it look like a bustling marketplace and certainly would draw in travellers to spend some of their hard-earned caps. As always really impressed with the level and variety of decoration you add to your builds, can only imagine how long you must have spent on it! Keep up the awesome work! 👍😁
Oh hey, the god-builder himself😄. Thank you. I took inspiration for this settlement from the Hanoi Train Street. Lots of signs and lanterns hanging from all the shops on both sides of the track.
All were spawned using console command. Here a Google spreadsheet of all the objects that I use: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nYiirxjntAcIuv6qc2K5SeUYpVOuKw314eAeToWMHyc/edit?usp=sharing
I could click on the object in console command mode and use the "setangle" command. For example: "setangle x 180" "setangle z 90". I don't want to go through 50 lines of command just to get one object at the right angle so I use the Place Everywhere mod.
