Not gonna be suckered into his pyramid scheme this playthrough! So only reason I even entered the building is because you need too if you want the Perception Bobblehead.
@@YaBoiJoosh there is also a way to completely not join the minutemen, just help that first settlement (kill them or dont) then be a dick to Preston and refuse his shit. Trust me this works I have done it like three times without flaw (not including Preston interrupting himself of course).
I got him pissed off by destroying the Institute and not issuing the evacuation order on my first play through. I didn't do it on purpose, just didn't know it was there lol
If you play with them there's a mod that stops you having to talk to Preston to end quests and stops him from giving them to you, the way you get quests is from the radio
Honestly I think I'd still help them, but then leave them to their own devices once we part ways. If anything I'd go back for Codsworth and move on after.
if you want the power armour without having to endure the minute men for the rest of the game then you can parkour off of the roof the church next to the museum to get to the spot on the roof with the armour. you don't have to talk to them or start their quest line.
I love showing up with PA already with a mini gun equipped. They are just flabbergasted that they were planning on grabbing that stuff and you just stroll in fully kitted out.
quick tip to not be mm. skip any settlement interaction. skip presron and that town. b-line in to the rail road and join uo with them. once you are a full member, any settlements you get should be railroad and NOT mm. happy trails
The city is hell, Preston is hell, just take the armour and book it. The quests aint that important even except for finishing the game and unlocking factions
Oh hell i will take codsworth any day any time of the week straight into the debts of hell over preston garvey! he calls you a general but doesn't treat you like one and his leadership is an absolute fucking joke.
A extra 1 perception doesn't really make that much difference Especially if you dupe S.P.E.C.I.A.L books to max out your points then wait in survival mode for a week to then dupe more books to get a average of 17 in each attribute after going back to very hard
Fallout 4 would have been great if not for Preston and his freeloaders.....usually I tolerate his quest just to get his perk, bobblehead and the stuffs inside the castle but once it is done I will go on a rampage to wipe out all settlements he asked me to helped or build.
Nah, keep them and become overboss Once you complete the quests related to the settlements, i.e finch farm and the ghoul settlement with the pool, they no longer matter I prefer having the nukaworld raiders farm their own food (except for the very first one as that's a tutorial quest) so if i want to be good again, i can still interact with the settlements
I can only wonder if the ones who didn't make it were cooler, or somehow even _more_ annoying than the ones who survived. It's bad when the only tolerable one in the bunch is the Synth.
I prefer never fighting the raiders around and in the church Eventually Preston and your companions will kill the raiders outside the church when passing through, but if you never enter the church you never need to deal with the constant banging from them "repairing", the whining ćùńť that is Marcy, keep all settlements to yourself and you can be overboss
This game has me conflicted. What do you do when you really don't like any of the factions in this game? Lol like I'd join the institute in wiping out everyone else but I find their faction annoying too
