This video is part of a build series where I re-build every Sanctuary Hills house without mods, each one having its own unique design. Join me building this realistic scrappy looking rooftop. Pure Megaton vibes. Enjoy!
7:08 If anyone else wants to use doors as windows keep in mind that settlers will open those doors and ruin the window effect. There is a workaround though. Settler programming only allows them to open doors, it does not allow them close doors. We can use this to our advantage by initially placing the doors somewhere out of the way, exiting build mode and opening the doors, and then reentering build mode and placing them where we want to use them as windows. Since the doors are already in the open position settlers will not be able to mess them up. Nice creative build BTW.
I love the fact that the builds dont look they were repaired to be exactly as they were before the bombs, but more as if it was repurposed and patched up to work as a sutible living space. Love the content.
Heck yea. Looks great. I haven't decided what to do with this house yet in my current playthrough (level 30). The views out the back windows are great; nice place for crafting tables if you're the sort what likes to craft at dawn before the days adventure.
My guy you are like a unicorn for me. You shouldn’t exist, you know literally everything about my favorite thing in fallout4: building AND YOU DO THAT WITHOUT MODS. BIG PROPS New sub and like
@@Fizzure3000 mostly thinking of the traditional sign with a painting of something, although it's normally on it's own stand. Not sure if "pure American" means anything in this context
Why did you make the platform then add foundations and wood decorations instead of just adding the scrap walls at that stage? Did the bus ends poke out or something?
I love the idea of hiding the engines in the school bus, how novel. Are you really going to leave the broken toilet in the bar? Pretty sure that violates several Health and Safety executive guidelines! Im subscribed! 😁😎
Nice build but you should put some concrete pillars underneath so it looks like all that weight is being supported by something, even if you just put a few around the outside of the house under the eaves. It will also help with your blue paint problem a bit.
I think I’m just gonna worry about getting my settlements functional and when the game is over then I’m gonna build all of this. Thanks for not using any crazy mods and just making it simple while looking amazing.
your video quality would be amazing if you mapped the darkest and lightest points of your image!! its a quirk of some video cards and many capture softwares. the output that you are given from the screen capture (i assume) lacks contrast! - it would be a huge bump in production quality! love the video!
In a post apocalyptic world with people exposed to radiation and somehow given extreme extended life, plasma weapons and monsters roaming the world, you’re concerned about the structural integrity of a house… haha
Really nice idea to put buses on top of the building, I like the shanty town vibe it gives :) might steal that for one of my builds :p You said that you might run out of ideas for the roof fixes, I have fixed the roof of a house in a way you haven't done and made a video about it years ago if you're interested check it out (my channel is inactive and has been for years I don't try to self promote just help you out)
Another thing you could do is snap a few more of those warehouse pillars underneath the ones you already have on the sides of the foundations so they go all the way to the ground. It would look better and more believable. Again, nice build.
Curious why you don’t just use mods? I’m on Xbox and there’s loads of settlement building mods that make it way better. Instead of messing around doing all these glitches 😂
Yeah there are some cool mods out there! I get a lot more satisfaction doing it without mods also using mods disables achievements which some people like to have on
