Imagine: you and a friend in X-01 armor are walking along on patrol. You think you hear a quiet hydraulics hiss in the distance, and you see what looks like a large figure on the distant hill, but quickly dismiss it as nothing because your friend is wearing a literal tank. And suddenly, a giant metal person appears in front of you literally out of nowhere, swings their arm, and your friend vanishes in a cloud of red mist. All that's left is a crumpled heap of shattered high-durability alloy that once contained your comrade. And then you crit your pants and die instantly.
And all of this in a Raider hunk of junk piece of power armor. X-01 can eat its heart out. A raider just Kali-Ma'ed a Glowing Deathclaw and he wants you next.
I’ve been literally replaying the game on survival as Roger Smith. I’m going for a charisma + unarmed to create big o. It’s pretty tough on survival but I’ve managed. I wish I could get some definite answers on which arm mods are best for unarmed.
Looked it up since I was skeptical on Tessa's Fist being good, Tessa's fist has the highest HP, indeed being even higher then that of X-O1 MK. 6 which has an HP of around 220, however the damage resistance of the armor is still the same as normal raider armor so you would be sacrificing a large amount of damage resistance for the sake of more armor HP.
This is so fucking awesome. Im currently going through survival mode with a melee build because I love the idea of some massive power armour punching and crushing everything to death and this certainly helps! Thanks a lot! TAKE MY UPVOTE.
Obtaining, modifying & wielding this armour - it would seem like you were a homicidal Hulk. Gods, the enemies struck must sometimes just go flying in some crazy airborne acrobatics. I think there would be the natural tendency of calculating if the next opponent / victim will outdistance the last one. Tessa's Fist (as upgraded in this vid) Plus a full set of MK. 6 X01 Miltary Armor, with a Hydraulic bracer on the other arm, Tesla Coil chest, and the Leg mod that increases action point refresh on both legs. I think that would be the most optimized version (in terms of armor) minus any other legendary PA pieces I am forgetting that might help.
Strictly inferior. Of course, to begin with, Power Armor generally lowers your Strength (as it removes your armor and clothing buffs), but it will not lower your base Strength if it is superior. So, get base 10 Strength, debuff it with Chems (Daddy-O or Day Tripper, I forget which one), use the SPECIAL book on Strength, and when the debuff ends you will be base 11, and then the Bobble will take you to base 12 - meaning you keep Strength 12 even in Power Armor. From there, you can add 2 more Strength with a Torso Mod on the Power Armor, and add 1 more with Paint. You cannot paint Raider Armor, however, so, with Tessa's Fist you loose out on 1 potential Strength and the damage that offers (which as you mention, makes a huge difference over the multipliers). You also loose out on the extra protection of better XO armor. You do not loose armor health punching, so that extra 30 health, while nice, is NOT worth the loss in damage resistance and extra damage from using Military Paint XO Armor with Strength boosting Torso. Also, it is easy to carry extra Power Armor arms that match your set if you are worried about parts breaking, which you can hop into your menu and equip at any point (even mid-combat) thought they are heavy and you do not want to travel encumbered in PA even with the Strong Back perks as it eats Fusion Cores at an insane rate. I suggest you just carry the components your armor uses to repair, as PA stations are not uncommon in the game. Also, this is still less damage than you can get unarmed to outside of power armor with unarmed weapons and the ability to take your Strength much, much higher. So, you are a tank changing damage dealt for being able to soak (generally a poor choice in Fallout 4). Thus, this is a build that benefits GREATLY from getting the chem and booze perks. Booze almost always boosts Strength, PsychoBuff is your best friend, and UltraJet is good for any build. Going to druggie path is strictly superior to trying to do the Sneak build.
My friend had a mod that can strip legendary effects and put them on different weapons and armor. The effect on Tessa’s fist would be ungodly replicated for every piece on a set of X-01 power armor.
One little tip for anyone who is doing a power armour unarmed build make sure you go four out of five in the unarmed skills because there is a glitch that makes it so that if you have five perks invested you cannot do the crit animation making it so you cannot hit critical hits. EDIT. No the unofficial patch doesn't fix it and far as I know there is no way to fix it.
What I hoped when I first found this is that it was a larger type of fist weapon thats basically just power armor but not requiring the frame, so basically like how Doomfist from Overwatch looks. Average sized person with a stupid large robotic fist essentially.
Hey Camel, I know this is kind of an old vid but I just warched it again so that I can start my unarmed power armor build. I found some experiments done with power armor unarmed attacks and seems like some ppl claim hydralics are not as good as the tesla bracers. Also the tesla bracers' damage will be increased with the tesla power armor set. I will trust the info once you can confirm or deny this info so can you do an experiment or something please? :)
it occurs to me that if you want to getthe most out of tessas its best to pair it with the Tesla torso and arm with the tesla coils as the tesla armor buffs the coils energy damange which then stacks with the hydrolics
Can you do more of these like tell us how to get the best DMG out of our weapons and what perks to use, id like to know what perks to use for The Gainer and Reba, this vid was helpful and thank you for doing the numbers
i would have used the stealthboy upgrade to aid in sneak attacks. the Tesla upgrade doesn't add enough for how high the damage is already. where as getting consistent sneak attacks will add up immensely.
Then you miss the Torso mod that adds +2 Strength which adds much more damage. You are better off not going the Sneak path anyways, and instead going the booze/chem path and boosting strength with augmented booze and PsychoBuff - as you will not quite get as much damage, but it is non-conditional on successful sneaking, repeatable, and comes with extra benefits.
So let me understand this, the legendary affect is ONLY for that one power armor part, and does NOT apply to the rest of the power armor suite? Is this correct?
Camel, I've been curious: How do you get your stats to show up as numbers? For example, with the 300% Durability. That Legendary effect is called Almost Unbreakable, but with my mods on Xbox One, it just says "Quadruples Durability." Is it a mod you have, or is it a specific thing on PC?
He`s got a mod installed that makes weapon/armor mod and legendary effect descriptions show stats properly Quadrupled durability is the same as 100% + 300% durability In short: yes, he`s got a mod
I mean, I guess Tessa's Fist is only helpful for not breaking so soon, but any gauntlets with hydrolics and the perk set do that. That's also rar, knowing you can have 350 damage punches in most any set.
I wish the game worked in a way that if your character had a certain amount of strength you could just slap Power armor pieces on your body and wear them as normal armor. or perhaps a perk to modify them to be worn like armor at the cost of 75% of the total protection it offers? like if it protects you from 200 Ballistic damage and 200 energy damage it will only offer 50 Ballistic and energy protection

i found out you can ge5 the wazer wifle in fallout 4 all you have to do is give kid shawn items when he ask for them (he must be in a settlement i think) after giveing him 3 items he gave me the wazer wifle witch is basicly the limitless potential laser rifle because it has a botemless clip
Tessa's fist is not different from any other Raider PA Arm except the 4x durability legendary mod. ANY power armor arm is equally good as unarmed weapon.
You were incorrect in saying that the sneak damage would be 3.5x... Unarmed is melee damage, not range. So, you should be seeing a 10x multiplier when getting a sneak attack. Which means your damage calculations are way off when it comes to sneak attack damage with Tessa's Fist.
