Guys, ALL the mods are linked in the description, as always. They are all for PC. unfortunately, they are not available on console and the majority cannot be ported over due to dependency on F4SE. Hope that clears everything up :)
While console has taken a few steps up in terms of graphics and what it can handle with the next generation (PS5 etc.) this is the main reason why I stay with PC. Being able to mod - without limits, except the engine. Which is why anyone who likes games that can be modded like Fallout 4, should look into computers, plus many games out there that are PC exclusive that have a stupid amount (hundreds to thousands) of unique mods that increase replayability, like Rimworld.
It is insane what modders can do. Honestly, this is what Fallout 4 could have been. Hopefully, future Fallouts have amazing detail and features like this. Sadly, I am on PS5 so Metro is as close as I can get.
Just wanted to have a quick look at the wheel menu and your video was linked on the mod page. Little did i know i'd spend the next 2 hours overhauling most of my UI :D great video, thanks for this!
@@nekk222 sorry for replying to an old comment but i got triggered. ofc people should be grateful to modders but these videos help you discover new mods and save a lot of time since there are almost 50k mods on nexus for fallout 4. not to mention the much needed showcasing and beautiful editing.
Honestly I appreciate all the mods and love them. But how can you say the original pip boy is "forgettable" it's literally one of the most iconic pieces of the series
This has got to be the best mod video of all time. I absolutely loved using it as a guide to redoing my own UI. I really hope you do another video similar to this one.
Ive been looking through FO4 mod showcases after getting into the game, and yours is so far one of the most impressive and helpful ones. I'm positively excited to try all of these mods myself!
This video is easily the best, most concise, and most understandable modding tutorial I've ever seen. Great job dude, you've made my play through so much better and I really appreciate it. I have a question if you ever get around to seeing this, how do I go from the normal weapon wheel to the one you have? I love the boxier aesthetic of yours and the small animations that come along with it, I'm not sure if i missed something but I just have the default FALLui weapon wheel and can't find in the mod config where to change the style, any help would be awesome, but if not this video was still such a huge help regardless. Thanks!
Sadly I only came across your channel about a month ago. I consider it one of the best mod showcase channels ever. MxR Plays was a favorite, but many channels have retired or drastically slowed with their Fallout 4 mods and videos. Your channels is refreshing to say the least. I’ve added many amazing mods I only discovered through your channel and appreciate that. Now I have a new project which is to install the majority of these showcased today because I absolutely love the display/HUD you have. I thought I was pushing it with 260-270 mods I use now. Seems like a couple dozen. It’s are needed! Again, thanks for the great videos, Both entertaining and informative. I can’t wait for the next series! I haven’t checked yet but I hope there’s a list of the mods in the about/info section, if not, I’ll just make a list. Thanks again!
You can also use complex sorter (it's from the same author of fall ui mod)it is a fo4edit script which sorts your inventory based on your mods(no need to tag evey modded gun in fall ui workbench)
Brandy man, you are literally the only channel I watch for Fallout 4 modding. This video was nuts man, you didn't miss a single mod! I know you list your modlist but obviously you spent a lot of time making fo4edit patches so you can't just download them all and play. Is there any chance you will make your modlist into a wabbajack install or at the very least upload the conflict patches you've made for your modlist? I would love to play your list but I'm not too good with xEdit, trust me I've tried 😅
Tested these mods out after my game auto updated. I had to re-roll back to the old version of fallout and I don't have any issues. Going to confirm all the mods are working still.
Step my step proccesses like this are something I'd absolutely fucking love to see from you periodically. Gonna sub because I've watched some of your stuff and you seem like a chill dude, much love.
@@othlas No clue whatsoever where you're looking because none of what you mentioned in your comment is here. This looks like edgelord tacticool HUD that makes the game look too much like a genertic call of duty game. You're deluded.
This is one of the best mod advice videos I’ve ever watched. You really gave great detail and listed the mod names exactly as they were. Only ones I didn’t get were not on the nexus, which I still might get one of them.
A worthy video to be added to my special playlist. I stopped playing Fallout 4 last year because my pc broke and I kinda forgot about it, but I just started modding again and your video have reminded me of some mods that you showed that I was busy thinking of searching back for them again but I forgot most of them. Now thankfully your list just speed up my problems in starting back XD, going to install all of this first then I can focus on other mods
After many vanilla or lightly modded playthrouhghs, I'm finally starting a heavily modded one. Your video has been incredibly useful in finding mods that work well together and making Fallout 4 feel fresh and new. Thank you for the amazing hard work you've put into this!
Ok, so it seems that some of these mods break the save function. You might run into an issue where you can save as much as you want when first loading the game but after you reload a save or die the options for saving the game completely get disabled, even trying to save through the console doesn't work. The mods that seem to cause this are HUDCaps, Kill Tips and Hit Sounds, and FallUI - HUD. I'm not aware of any fixes aside from disabling these mods but I hope this comment helps anyone having this issue in finding one.
@@dereksdump Yeah, it didn’t show up for me at first either. What I did that fixed it was switch the activate option on and off quickly before reloading and it showed up. Not that it really matters if you can’t save the game. Didn’t know that it also caused this issue though. I really wonder what the guy in the video did in order to get this all to function
@@fatelesssoul760 Same. Ammo UI Expanded is basically a no go :/ such a bummer. I can’t get it to work at all, no matter what. I can’t be too upset about the lack of support due to the language barrier but it’s pretty unfortunate.
ive gotten a couple comments like this. not sure why any of the mods would mess with the save feature. it may be due to a bug with F4SE 🤔 my game works just fine with all the mods installed. as Todd always says: it just works
I really like your HUD layout and have grabbed as many of the mods as I can in order to duplicate it. I see in the FallUI - HUD page on Nexus that you can save and export layouts for sharing. Can you share yours? It would really help me out, as I use my XBox controller and have next to no experience navigating though the settings with keyboard/mouse. So far, trying to duplicate yours manually has been more frustrating than fun.
Thank you for this. I was hesitant for a long time about using some of these ui mods, I've been a fan of def mods for years but sadly it lacks a lot of what I want in hud mods. You have cleared that up for me. It's now time to re-work my hud/ui. Great vid btw, clean and to the point. Sub'd :) Update: After using these ui/hud mods, I am glad I decided to go with the switch from def mods. I have nothing against them, but Fall UI has definitely filled the gap of quality of life features I was looking for. It feels like it runs smoother, less clunky, more organized, just cleaner overall. Also, thank you for sharing these mods, I've never played with floating damage/health bars before so I decided to try them out. OMG I should have used these sooner!!! Seeing those red bars pop up all over the place during a horde invasion is crazy at the least. Thank you again :)
Wow! Very well explained video. I like the way you associate the mod you're explaining with others, in case of compatibility issues. I loved your HUD, btw. I'm testing the "Fancy" HUD from FallUI, but the bars are so big and the radar is so bombastic! Haha
Fallout 4 Mods Subways of the Commonwealth (SOTC) Standalone (Very well done) (includes Concord, Cambridge, DC, Jamaica, Castle, Goodneighbor, Malden) Highways Fix (all highways connect, travel everywhere thanks to Gunners). All those roads on the great map can be followed from one end of the commonwealth to the other. Everything looks very different from up there. Regards
that companion healthbar mod kinda gives me Outer World vibes and i like it. i love that sort of art style. also something to note, watching this video was a bit of an eyesore because of the excessive amount of bloom that makes it hard to look at the game proper.
ATTENTION SORT BY NEWEST PEOPLE: For anybody wondering, don't bother trying to use the mods. The next gen update broke just about every one of these, including the be exceptional perk system, mod config menu, fallout3 hud, modofonto font, juuuuust about everything. Unsure as to when these mods are getting updated, that's up to the creators. Some good news though; The load screen clock, active effects, classic UI sounds, companion status, gasmask mod, nameplates are all working without issues (so far). The fallUI mods work but are un-customizable as Mod Configuration Menu is currently broken, so it's not worth using it (unless you like the stock setup). I haven't been able to test the VAFS system yet because I am currently trying to fix my savefiles, so that one is up to your own experimentation. FOR PEOPLE WITH CRASHING ISSUES: If you went and installed the entire mod list in the video, and now when you load the game it just immediately CTD's (crashes to desktop), you have to uninstall the MCM Booster mod, it's broken and causes an issue that CTD's fallout 4. I'm unsure as to what this issue is, but this is the solution that worked for me. Happy Modding, have a good night!
Hey im new to this whole Modding Stuff, thank u very much for the Information about which Mods still kinda work - its a shame that the new Fallout 4 Update Broke everything.....
here 2 mods that will break save function 1. hudcaps 2. ammo ui expanded after you edit the position by doing this, its gonna break your save function for sure, it is fancy mod but not worth it, especially ammo ui expanded isnt compatible with immersive hud
@@broham8231 when it comes to fallout, some buggy quest require save before you start the quest, im kinda a guy who always play safe, not the guy that rely on autosave ive been doing this since oblivion, fallout 3
@@broham8231 i heard abt that mod has paid version, i dont really know tbh because i got the pirate version, i tried it, same result, it work fine but it broke save function, it look really sick tbh
Fuark man just playing skyrim rn but Ill be playing F4 soon and this was exactly the vid for me! Idc about any other mods that overcomplicate things further, I just want a pretty and effective HUD to use. Awesome, keep it up.
So real quick question for someone who's new to modding: The F4 Wheel Menu requires DEF_UI to be installed, but you use FallUI. Where and how did you get those two UI mods to work, or do they not conflict with each other, or...?
How do you manage to get a stable and high frame rate? I've got an RTX 2080 in my pc plus dynaperf for the game which should improve the FPS but it doesn't help.
well bought this game pre release, never got around to play it. now i done so much reasearch and i hope i found some of the best mods to play a fresh game with. i done graphics/this ones and a few other smaller mods. i'm at 140+ mods now. thank you so much for linking them all so i didn't have to manually search them. hope the all work togeather with what i had already :) so thank you again i gave you a follow and a thum up :)
It'd be really neat if you made another video of all the weapon related mods you use in one video like this one; think it'd be awesome to know what weapons you use, retextures for said weapons. Great video you made though! Very enjoyable as always. This must have took so long to make; The time and effort alone must have took hours of hours. Overall another 10/10.
Thank you for the awesome video, really showed off THE best UI mods out there. Any way I can get the character preset at 25:37 , I may or may not be in love with that :)
one issue tho, wheel menu requires def_ui and fall ui conflicts with it so i cant have a cool hud and a cool wheel menu at the same time. Any way to make both of em work at the same time?
Some bullshit that Ammo & Weapon UI Expanded got paywalled. It was free and fully functional on the nexus for the longest time, then the author paywalled it and now you can only get it on her patreon. I normally wouldn't have any issue with this, but the fact it was free first and there were no problems with it makes it inexcusable for me. She also does not respond to her patrons 90% of the time and there are many complaints about features being broken on the paid version.
Personally i find it kinda weird you have some mods for immersion (like the pipboy not stopping time) but then also a bunch of extra mods that scream im playing a video game like killfeeds. Overall a pretty cool list though, i usually go for a pretty low hud, hardcore style modlist, so ill have to give something like this a try to change it up.
Your game looks amazing, thanks for the advice and mod recs. I have to say, I was annoyed you were able to kill an alien craft with a 20th century small arms riffle lol. (though I guess it could of been a shuttle not the main ships but it seems funny to me)
