It’s better in general. Cheaper, cheaper ammo, higher fire rate, etc. Plus it doesn’t even matter since if you’re well specked it should take down most enemies in just a couple shots.
Fun story about swan. I had a friend who was trying to find the furious power fist, I told him it was in a swan boat in the lake. However I may or may not have remembered to tell him about the behemoth lying in wait. I laughed so hard when he told me about the unexpected fight.
I found a gauss rifle with the legendary perk that does double damage to targets on full health, as well as my ninja perks (4.2x stealth damage) means I can easily do over 1000 damage ina single shot, I can one shot some mirelurk queens XD
Yeah, that or the two shot gauss rifle are best. Instigating = 200% damage of first hit, two-shot = 160% damage on every hit. Really it's down to personal preference and the difficulty you're on.
True. The shotgun is still pretty efficient with short scope distance but does loose damage in long distance, and 10 mill's clip is inferior to the sub.
I was happy when I got that weapon off a kill. Then I started using it and killed most of my settlers when defending settlements. So I switched back to my immolation(?) shotgun. Heck I almost killed myself more than once with that retarded gun. Shotguns are for close combat and the explosion effect is too dangerous which doesn't make this combo a great idea. Just my 2 cents.
In my recent playthrough, which has led me to watching these kinds of videos all these years later, I got an exploding 10mm pistol... It made me forget all about the deliverer to the point where when I got it, it just instantly went into storage. But yeah, I have fond memories of The Deliverer in my first original playthrough when the game came out.
I used the overseers guardian, deliverer, and righteous authority the whole game. Anything long I would hit with the OG or RA and when in close, I used the deliverer. My fourth weapon just depended on what mission I was taking on or what I wanted to try out and have fun with. But OG was my favorite!!!
@@waltuhhartwellwhitesr.4630 BB - I'm aware of that, thank you. I wasn't trying to make a point, merely stating what weapons I used which relates to Brandon's statement of using the overseer's guardian.
Explosive combat shotgun. 15 explosive damage per pellet, 8 pellets basic. Advanced receiver, 10 pellets Full Demolitions perk explosive damage doubled to 30 per pellet on top of shotgun damage. Explosives bobblehead, another 4.5 damage per pellet for 345 explosive damage plus shotgun damage. Add,rifleman, Lone wanderer, bloody mess, sneak attack, Mr Sandman and various bobbleheads, you see where I'm going MOST POWERFUL GUN IN THE GAME bar the rocket launchers.
The CSG is already semi-auto, i prefer the double shot one. Asfor the Gauss and Fatman, most things die in one shot anyway and the ammo is kinda scarce.. The only thing holding the DBSG as a mediocre weapon is reload speed, this legendary effect remedies that and makes it a fantastic weapon while not quite game braking...
There are plenty of great guns with perks like 2 shot or explosive damage, but honestly I think "The Deliverer" is the most reliable gun in the game. With VATS, you can easily clear a room with it and it remains a very powerful gun throughout the entire game. And 10mm ammo is more than plentiful. In short, I never leave home without it
I got a western revolver off of a legendary mirelurk in far Harbor; it came with the Deviant legendary effect. This means that the last bullet in the chamber does double damage. It does 60 base damage and has a 6-round chamber, meaning every 5 shots you'll get a 120-damage shot. Not only that, it uses 10mm rounds (default) which are fairly common
Personally, I like a lot the Tesla Rifle (With the overcharged reciever) because of its Multiple-Enemy damaging type. It causes a Tesla blast that goes through lost of enemies at a time, and causes lots of energy damage
***** I hacked the robots in the city,Takahashi, and eyebots causing the NPCs to go crazy who ever they didn't kill I ad Victoriam them.I was bored from Preston ' endless settlement missions Lol
Ben B yup, best gun by far..I have everything on this list except the overseer..level 48 now, and being using that shotgun since I was 20..still the best by far.
+Raymon Ore i know right. if mama murphey can kill a deathclaw with one shot it must be the best... by the way a settlement needs our help. here ill mark it on your map
+Raymon Ore thats the only reason why im not remaking a character..... for the 1st 15hrs u get a shit ton of lot, 98% of which are fucking pipe pistols. >:o on the + side pipe pistols are the number 1 cause of vertibird crashes XD
+Penguindrummer I got a legendary gun drop from a radstag it was better then my fully modded spray'n prey I cried because I loved spray'n pary but the other gun did loads better damage
That is indeed better but you can't rely on getting one unlike with Spray'n Pray. You do have a limited amount of chems but the damage output with the right perks must be ridiculous.
My favorite is a combat shotgun with the "Neverending" legendary effect. I have mine modified to do like 139 points of damage. I affectionately named it "Captain Boom"
A Wounding (for single tough enemies) or Explosive (for a mass of clumped-up enemies) will serve you far better in the late-game, as the Wounding/Explosive effect is applied to _each_ pellet. Reloading isn't a problem when you can clear the room with a few well-placed shots.
Started a mele stealth playthrough. Found a machete "deals 50% more damage to enemies with full health" in the first hour of gameplay and added the ritual blade mod to it. With chems and food, weapon damage is at 995 points, one hitting absolutely everything.
@@ecargfosreya you can make all mods for the Deliverer yourself, but if you’re short on materials it might be worth to check Tinker Tom’s stock rotations.
honestly even though i still completed the game and got all these weapons on me.........ITS STILL FUN AS HELL PLAYING FALLOUT 4 you still get to explore the beauty of the wasteland and continue fighting and thats what i love about fallout 4
I really love the deathclaw gauntlet and if you have the mod for the third claw it deals a lot of damage and when you attack someone with it, most of the time you can see their head being sliced right off!!
Oh and not to get your hopes up people the Alien Blaster is a random encounter that really only had a chance at spawning above level 23, you can get it to proc at lower levels but it only has a very low chance of doing so Edit: After some number crunching below level 23 it is a 1.2664 (repeating of course) chance of happening
Miller Johnston If you combine it with the stealth mod already on the blade and with the perk you get if you maximize affinity with Deacon it can get up to 12.5x damage its so beautiful
Hohohoho oh boy u r fucking wrong. Let me tell you, that its actually the BEST weapon in entire fucking series. With all perks right (Nuclear physicist, Duelist, and Demolition expert) it does a butt tone of damage, in a fucking square killometer area, breaking enemys (and yours) limbs stunns them and throws away to the horizon like a fucking dragonborn shout. And the coolest thing about it is that the area damage goes through any obstacles, unlike any other explosive damage in the game. IMPORTENT NOTE: If you holding down on this weapon just becouse it does some pesky radiation damage to wich are many enemys (supposedly) hold immunity, then dont be. Radiation damage in fallout 4 works like ass, and enemys like mutants or robots who shoud have been immune to radiation damage, just isnt. The ONLY enemys immune to it is ghouls.
What about the wastelander's best friend, the 10 mm can take you through the entire game, and same with Experiment-no-one-cares, the plasma rifle from the institute
lol i've got the explosive combat shotgun and dumped it in a trunk in Sanctuary Hills, cause there's so fuckig many guns, I can't decide.... and most of them weigh tons.... I mean really who saw an "assault rifle" that weighs almost as much as minigun?!! After modding it acutally weighs the same!!!
The deliver isn't the 1911. The 1911 fires 45 and isn't in the game. The makarov fires 10mm in game. Also, the 1911 is bigger and has a different looking slide then the deliverer.
1. The Spray And Pray is rips through Mirelurk Queens, Supermutant Behemoths, and Legendary Deathclaws with demolition expert ranked up while also keeping ammo cheap and plentiful. In my opinion should be much higher on the list, but everybody has their own opinions. 2. The Big Boi does tons more damage than the Overseers Guardian, but comes with the cost of having very limited ammo compared to plentiful and cheap .45 rounds.
The Stagering Flamer (if I recall its name right) is OP, it has a legendary effect causes any enemy the flame hits to stumble, and it keeps causing the enemy to stumble as long as you are hitting them.
@@SeanSpencerNekoEspirito hmm... I dont know tbh. Wait wasnt it a minigun? That might be what you get in the side quest from helping Hancock's assistant in dealing with Bobby No-nose
You should get an assassin handmade rifle, I found mine at vault 95 near glowing sea.. don't know if it'll spawn every time tho, with the modifications I have on it, it does 164 damage plus 50% more damage against humans
i personally like the 2076 world series bat, when paired with the perc that lets you close distance using sneak strength and fully upgraded you can 1-2 shot death claws. its also funny to see a super mutant go flying or to knock someones head clean off using power armor it feels like the svidstand build from cyberpunk lol
Yes:)... I concur. That “Grognak’’s Axe” or “Pickman’s Blade” because of the bleeding effect.. “Kremvh’s Tooth” is still better because of the bleeding and poison effect.
I found the alien blaster to be terrible in fallout 4, i literally used it twice and then never touched it again. It was beautiful in New Vegas and 3 though.
+Chris M I found the projectile speed too low. With a target dodging about and you're not using VATS, which I don't use that much, too many shots miss. Best use is as a flamer, much lighter than conventional, good for bugs etc.
