Public Service Announcement!! DO NOT reroll your legendaries after you craft them. Craft a new gun and try again. Why? You’re wasting scrip. Save that useless 3 star you spent hours crafting and turn it in for 40 scrip. That way atleast you’re only spending 160 scrip per 3 star attempt(which is fucking nuts mate).
That's a very good point! I know lots of people (myself included) are swimming with legendaries to scrip but definitely great advice, especially with the scrip limit being raised. It of course just needs you need to make a new weapon/armor every time.

@@adamthomas4462 Yeah, Steel Reign is actually seeing a lot (if not all) of the currencies getting cap limits raised. Relevant to the discussion, I believe this includes both the amount you can scrip per day and the total overall amount of scrip you can hold. We'll have to see how things work out after Steel Reign launches, because to me sometimes it feels like I hit current maximum scrip WAY too quickly, which kind of deflates my desire to really sink a lot of time per play session.
Thanks for giving a correct assessment of the new system. This will be much, much better that the current system. The way it works now, if you want a 50cal, you go to Old Moley and spend 1000 script and you are guaranteed to get... Squat! With the new system, if you want a 50cal, you get a 50cal 100% of the time! It may not have all the attributes that you want, but with Old Moley, you still probably won't get the exact attributes you want but with her, you probably won't EVER get a 50cal (or whatever weapon you want). Want a fixer? You'll 100% get a fixer. Want a handmade? You'll 100% get a handmade. You'll still have to keep rolling for your perfect weapon, but you'll at least be in the ballpark EVERY TIME you roll.
Is it better? Relatively yes, and it is a step in the right direction. However, you still have the possibility to go MONTHS before you get the roll you are looking for on just one item, never mind if you are trying to get good stats on a complete armor set. I think the best outcome would be that you rolled only one of the three stats. At least you would start zeroing in on the roll you want.
I lucked out when I started playing a few weeks ago. I want a set of Unyielding Thorn armour, but I would have hated having to constantly buy Vault Steel. Thank god for being late to the party lmfao
Best explanation of the process I've seen as someone who has only been playing a month. I'll have to be a little more frugal in my efforts since I only have 13 legendary cores. Thanks for making this clear for new players. New subscriber.
Honestly I know I am late to this but just coming back from a break but I love this added feature to crafting. But obviously there is only 1 change I would make or addition I would add to make the legendary crafting perfect. A feature to prevent 1 attribute from being rerolled. So if I make a weapon or armor lets go with armor and say I wanted a vanguard set. What I would do is add another item that you could buy with scrip it would only be sold at max of 5 a day so you can't abuse it and make thousands of caps making god roll weapons or armor to sell to other players new or also returning. In the crafting menu for legendary rolling you will be checked for the new item and if you have them it will ask you if there is an attribute you want to lock in. When you lock it in the item will be used in the reroll and it will ask you again on another reroll. When you select yes it will let you choose which attribute to lock in or save in a simple way. I know the legendary crafting was added to reduce the rng on what item you get so you can get what you want in a reasonable time but just locking in 1 attribute helps those who run a specific build reroll for a god roll with some rng still in affect for their personal build. And again I loved this feature being added in and am not mad or demanding any fix I am just saying what I would add if I could to make it feel better.
One part of Legendary crafting i would've implemented, is the ability to control the chance of actually getting the specific legendary enchant that you want by spending additional legendary crafting mats. 10 mats per 10% increase chance to get the enchant you want, and if you want a 3star item with the exact 3 enchants , then you pay up 30 legendary mats ... I've never been a fan of letting rng decide your crafting, especially not if you have skills/perks to increase your crafting. A weaponcrafter with maxed out skills, should have no problem crafting very specific weapons with high probabilitly.
It's a core, makes sense they'd use the same model. Saves on money and time. Unless the look of it matters to you THAT much I doubt it will be a problem
I’m aiming for a full set of unyielding scout armor and vanguard recon armor, and bolstering power armor pieces, the advantage I have it’s that I’m a very patient gamer, I can plays for hours and days grinding and keeping resources until I have enough to gambling on this mechanics, what worries me it’s the future of the purveyor Murmurgh, the poor girl will not sell those random crates so easily now, people will go for those modules, so in order to maintain the business running like a Swiss clock she must increase the modules per day 🤣 thanks for the explanation Wanderer, you should have been a teacher 👍🏻
I take issue with the statement regarding “not having to farm legendaries” (that would include legendary enemies and events and daily ops) how else then would we get the scrip in sufficient quantities in order to have enough legendary modules to actually craft something we want that won’t take years if we did none of those things and had to rely on getting them as prizes from seasons.
I just ruined a one star bloodied.That was given to me. For an Aristrocrat's ! It was just a One star. But it was kind of sentimental. I will definitely use on a basic Gatling plasma, next time! I gotta watch this entire video and Thanks Lone!
New to the channel my 1st video in fact. I recently picked up F76 because I've been heard good things. I've seen so many videos trying to understand this new legendary crafting thing. Still better than running around hoping you find a legendary, hoping they drop a weapon you want, and then hoping that weapon has good legendary perks. And it's more reliable than the purveyors random legendary items
4 modules and 5 cores to just roll one 3 star. That’s insulting. That’s 200 scrip and how many hours of gameplay for the cores? One 3 star gets you 40 scrip. That’s highway robbery with the RNG the way it is. Frankly it should be 3 cores and 1 module for a 3 star. Cores seem like they’ll be easier to get but there’s only one place to get modules and they’re expensive. Change it to where we can get both cores and modules from daily quests.
You can sever hop, I believe, to get the legendary modules to refresh at the Purveyor, but what that means is that the daily limit on scrip becomes the limiting factor. To be honest, if they're going to insist they limit the daily gain, at least make it so that there are still repeatable ways to get scrip, while there are diminishing returns, there are still returns. I just don't like all of the limits on what you can earn, as that means they have no confidence that people will keep playing after they get a good roll on one weapon, so they gotta make it take as long as possible.

I think that Bethesda needs to half the price of legendary modules or at least rise the cap from 10 to 20, and reduce the requirements for two and three star, at least one less module and legendary core to make it a little less grindy
I'm still surprised they are making us reroll all of the stats per craft as opposed to only one of them. They REALLY need to consider that sooner than later.
But raising the cap is pointless you can server hop and buy more if you have the scrip. And I don’t think they should let you reroll specific effects. The game would be way too easy. What they should do is increase the scrip limit a day to 500. That way you can get a guaranteed 10 modules a day.
Legendary modules already make legendary items. Bethesda could’ve made more missions or events with the time they wasted having a team concoct legendary cores to keep people grinding. The only good thing about this update is we can make almost any weapon legendary.
You don't have to reroll the same item either, if you have multiple (or you can craft them) you can make it legendary and sell it for scrip if it's no bueno
As a bloodied stealth commando, I cannot wait to have the ability to craft a full set of Unyielding Covert Scout after this update drops.. & after another year or two of RNG, it will be mine! 😫🤣
But the daily cap only allows I think a maximum of 20 legendary modules and it takes 4 to add 3 star legendary so basically only 5 weapons…if you choose the random one you get a chance of 10 3 star weapons and for reason I always get good rolls when I do it this way
Q. Can you let’s say you have a 3* but you don’t like like the roll of your 2* can you just re roll your two star while still keeping your 1* 3* attributes

Frankly, good. Maybe we'll stop having it so that the best rolls are "worth" more caps than is possible in the game. The vendor market is important, but lego prices are incredibly inflated.
No it won't. It'll just force people to sell in volume and make items accessible to more people. The only thing it'll kill are the dreams of asshat economy dorks that think they should be able to sell off garbage for 20k caps.
they need to fix the reload bug where the game force you to reload even though you still have ammo in the clip, if not then last round is pretty much a useless filler to dilute the roll even more, if they allow single ammo weapons to get that legendary then that roll is still viable and would make the most sense, more people will experiment on black powder or single shot cannon,rocket launcher, mini-nukes, etc, to add to that note this would also fix quickhand perk.
got to keep you playing some how, stupid that think that daily and weekly caps and piss poor gambling is how to achieve that, pointless having good weapons without content
I kind of disagree about saving up and trying for 3 stars, not all of us have hundreds of modules. I would first get 1-2 stars lined up on all gear and weapon that you want for build since you will be able to roll more and complete it sooner. Then once you have your build you can eventually start the slow process of rolling for perfect 3, in the mean time you always have a chance of one dropping naturally. Going for 3 stars first will take literally forever to get your set done.
Really gotta wonder how people have thousands of cores...don't see how that is possible even if you grind all day every day...is there some kind of duplication glitch...?
All you need is a full set of AP refresh PA set 😂 yooo this will be the best update yet. Wish you guys would give some damage multipliers back but at least there’s more additions to the game
All you guys are complaining but there are many games that are far worse than this as far as rng goes. Go play Black Desert Online and then get back to me... Is the system better than not having it? Yes. Should we give it a try in game before we pass judgment? Yes. Does this system still mean that getting the roll we want could still just not happen and is still a lot of RNG for the sake of being RNG and increasing playtime required? Also yes. I can also compare this game to other games with far less RNG, just because this has better RNG in some aspects compared to some games doesn't mean it still feels like as it stands the game isn't respecting our time.
@@MechaMan2012 I totally understand where you're coming from and while I respect your input I can speak from experience as a black desert veteran. I've been playing bdo for 3 years. I quit recently. After thousands of hours in bdo I'm still not geared to where I should be and granted there are players who have played bdo for 3 months and are top gs with all the best gear. Rng is rng but the system in place for bdo is very punishing. Imagine if you played 76 and finally got your God roll items and then someone killed you while you were afk and it downgraded your gear. That's how bdo is. Granted in order for that to happen you have to have negative karma but still It's very punishing and far worse than fo76 imho...
Can I make lowbie gear 3*? Like I want to make a new stealth commando. Can I craft a set of Shadowed Leather Armor then make them legendary? Do they keep the level as crafted?
Doing a shotgun build, I had a two shot shotgun. I wasnt satisfied, mainly because I wanted an instigating or a furious one. I have gotten useless ones like zealots, assassins, suppressors, etc. I wasted all my modules 😔 I should have stayed with the teo shot. It was devastating. But my ungrateful self was just greedy.
Guys just needed some help. So ive purchased the brotherhood recon jetpack and torso plans, ive read them too, but whenever i check my armour bench to craft them they dont even appear as an option to craft?
I just came back after a super long break, Im following a build a friend made, he had put legendaries that i should get on my hellcat armour, is there any way i can do that specifically, or is it a case of constantly re rolling and eventually it'll just happen? Just wondering, you probably answered and my slow brain missed it xD
can you modify the power armor helmets to legendary? i noticed the option is not available on any i have tried only the mods to them. Am i missing something or is this just normal, thanks
I really like this but 4 modules for a 3 star? that's 1 roll a day its gonna take forever to get something, but I guess I understand since they are specific weapons it would make sense for it to be expensive.

Thank you for the info. Just getting back into the game and have an important question: does messing with the components of a legendary weapon ever remove the legendary mods? I got an amazing 3* plasma pistol that I'd like to convert to a plasma rifle, but I don't want to risk losing the amazing legendary mods on it. On my fixer I got a pop up warning that changing a component was going to remove the mods (I think because I didn't know one of them that came with it) but now I'm paranoid lol.
If I have a weapon or armor/PA piece (with mods) that I want to roll into legendary, will the mods be removed from that piece or will the mods stay for every re-roll?
This is gonna change everything. Really cool but gonna make trading more difficult. Are there any restrictions to the legendary crafting? Examples like TSE lazers or AAEs?
We do need better ways to obtain the legendary modules the price doesn’t fit well with the new godly system. Lone I think this is something to bring up. People are doing events again. Don’t let this momentum die because burn out from lack of old school legendary modules

Shame that they don't have select costs for settting up fixed legendary effects on your weapons and armor, having prices varied for specific weapons and armor based.. *Now make Legendary Modules weightless too* The economy is going to change *drastically* after this update for sure! Another disappointment that you can't get cores/tickets by doing *events in general*
I'm going to assume that the reason we're not getting the ability to reroll individual stats on gear, despite the math being done to show that people will absolutely take literal years - as in multiple years - trying to roll their desired set with this new system, is technical (engine) in nature. Otherwise, I cannot see any justification for going back to the randomness systems of 90s/early 2000s games that were abandoned for a reason. This is going to get worse with 4-star gear rolls at the end of the year. I see there's also a total lack of communication about it by Bethesda in the PTS, too. The only thing that we have that could indicate that something's changing is Gardiner giving a typically cryptic message about something changing with the crafting system in the future in the Paste Magazine interview. If they're going to change it in the future to an individual stat reroll system, grab your sacks and just say it already so devoted players have something to look forward to. Even if you have to caveat it by saying that it may not work in the current iteration of the engine. Stop annoying your player base with silence and subtle crap in interviews. Gardiner's already said in the reddit AMA that new hairstyles can break the game, so it's not like it's going to be soul-crushing for people to know that a better gear reroll system can't work, or can't work right now.
I’d be happy with the system if they didn’t add more variations of legendaries that no one wants and only serve to dilute the pool more, making it even harder to get what you want.
Exactly, I could understand the decision to implement like this if it were a free to play game but it’s a paid for game. The only thing I can assume is the mechanics are being put in place so the player base is conditioned for the day they do make it free to play.
Can’t wait about to make my nw weapons op asf got 8 lasers 5 combat rifles, double barrel, 44, pipes, and some mini guns and hunting new and most op legacy’s and the new meta
