It's fantastic to just see each of the weapons details and in action. There are so many different types it can feel overwhelming trying to decide what to hope for!
this will probably be removed before it leaves the PTR. they didn't want explosive energy weapons that's why they took them away why suddenly change their minds.
They should make explosive laser weapons have red energy explosions like the gauss weapons, and plasma weapons have the plasma projectile explode and get plasma everywhere
interesting, so they just removed the explosive EPF effect within the past day or two because it was just available in Tyr and Wiggles videos. It looked awesome af too.
i still dont know why they removed the legacy's back in the day each shot that hit the ground use the scale by 5x the shotguns were the most broken over 7k each shot and the gatling plasma with the bulled spread mod each shot was over 1k hits the true melters
i noticed the fireball mod on the paddleball was mentioned in the first iteration of the PTS. Can the paddleball be modded on the current PTS? explosive assaultron head? faster fire rate on a crossbow? lobbed mod on a tesla? these were my favorite fun weapons & i will be elated to see their return.
The PS hex barrel is terrible, did you happen to test it with the standard quad barrel? That is what I've used on ones I and it always performs better than the hex barrel.
Hey, Nuka . Before, if you rolled explosive on gauss weapons, it made them much worse, but it seems from your testing that the minigun was the clear winner. Have you tried the gauss shotgun? Does it also do more damage with 2 explosive effects?
With how servers are plagued with cremators, non explosive energy needs a little something, they are great but no fun to be had when nothing gets near the event center lol
@IWillySaySomething 76 isn’t difficult enough to need anything more than a regular weapon. Crying that someone else has a stronger weapon is so embarrassing, it’s insane
@IWillySaySomething Thats beyond "embarrassing" and I agree Legacy's were more then just A stronger weapon they killed events. it was one thing if they used them in A private server but they didn't they just seemed to think other player would think they where cool when in fact we hated them.
@nukaknights it was just the peppershaker, Gatling laser, cryolator, and flamer that weren't really a problem. It was mostly the weapons with beam splitters like the Gatling Plasma and laser rifiles
me* gets stuck trying to enter power armor, meanwhile SBQ is dead within 1 min before i load in the event. bethesda: lets make 1 player get all XP and other players get 0 xp, like good old day, shall we
yeah all weapons that have projectiles will work flamer tesla plasma thrower wont work only if you make it shoot bullets its sad but owell at least some work
Pepper shaker is infinitely more effective as a boss weapon not a mobbing weapon, tight groups [like ghouls or animals will do] work as well. But "tactical" groups like mutants, humans, or scorched aren't as good since they will split and take cover etc. Really no different than any other heavy weapon.
You need Fallout 1st. The you can create custom worlds with the settings you want. But this is separated from the Adventure mode and nothing can be transfered in or out. So its mainly for testing.
@@kevenblackworks1906 saw some other videos about it (TYR iirc) and they changed the explosive on multi pellet. So you won’t get multiple explosions per shot.
@@jamescoffell887 I don’t have PTS but they must have changed something again. Nuka Knights wasn’t able to use explosive EPF. But I saw some video where explo EPF worked. Had no flame just exploding bullets. Guess there will be more changes until it goes live
@@FalloutKurier6Im talking about the gatling plasma not EPF. The gatling plasma has a beam splitter attachment and its been broken since launch it worked properly with old legacys. where they would shoot 5 bullets at once instead of being a flame thrower like how it is now
Thanks, I just randomly works and then doesn't. Also sometimes my weight jumps up about +100, when I die after, its back to normal. Seems like there is still work to do on Bethesda side.
@@nukaknightsthe extra 100 carry weight while in power armor was a “feature” in 2018. if you died, it was lost. an exit and reenter to the server would give the +100 again.
You can reroll single stars, but that get more expensive every time. I'd rather craft the Mods you want or trade them. I'm pretty sure we will also find a lot of them in other players vending machines.
They will just be untradeable, if you craft them. Explosive might also be in the normal loot loot again and those weapons would remain tradeable. We will see at the end of the PTS.
@TheBatmansbrother better start eating, it's been in the pts since they announced that they would lessen restrictions on certain effects on weapons. Same with two shot, quad, and last shot on bows, crossbows, and muskets.
1st this will be no legacy because everyone can have. 2nd legacy was 10 time more powerfull of this. Luckily real legacy is out and I had any of them. Realy you wan't back.
The devs confirmed the rework of explosive energy even before we could test it now. It's intentional und nothing speaks against a release currently. They are also much weaker than the old versions. Much more balanced.
The reason legacy explosive [and the not talked about legacy 2 shot] were "removed" is both effects when introduced added +100% damage with no drawbacks. Compared to like bloody with +90% when you're at near 0 HP. Nothing was inherently broken about explosive energy weapons aside from the double damage for no negatives. Or triple damage on a bloody roll. I feel like if they had changed all of the old rolls on legacy to the 20% and 25%, they might not have been so unwanted by folks who didn't have one.
people used to hack nuclear winter mods on “legacies,” which is what made them so strong. explosive effect is minimal without nuclear winter mods tripling the base damage.
@@FalloutKurier6 must have just been the one I got. I don't doubt that such exploits were harder if not impossible on console, and that older damage calculation was different and unbalanced. There were plenty of examples of illegal items on PC, such as the orbital strike (MIRV barrel on a .50 cal MG) the particular legacies I would always see traded around had a hacked nuclear winter laser rifle scope that boosted the base damage of the weapon. My apologies that I'm the only one who seems to remember this, I hope I didn't offend you by pointing this out.
Explosive energy weapons are for people who want everything to be easy and never face any challenge. It's a mistake by Bethesda bringing this shit back. edit: Hell, that's who the cremator is meant for too.
dude i feel like a broken rercord over here but holy crap, how is no one mad about this? they took our explosive legacies from us that we scoured the wastes for. poof. out of our inventory. didnt matter how hard it was. now theyre gonna let us grind to get them back??????? why didnt they just apply these changes then and let us keep the weapons we loved? when they yoinked my guns it killed my entire build and char i literally re rolled. this is unreal
They took them away because the effects weren't working correctly and they didn't know why or how to fix them back then. It seems they've found fixes because everything seems to be working correctly (other than explosive flamers/tesla, but that might be intentional) for example, explosive laser weapons no longer one-shot everything.
@@ronaldsrod A build for them? Explosive laser weapons didn't need a build, any parts at any level would one-shot anything they were pointed at, even with every mutation against them and no perks beneficial to them. Though I think that might be what you were getting at.
@@ronaldsrod yeah. bloodied commando stealth, imagine going from doing enough dps to do whatever you want to logging on and having 8 guns missing. what do you mean not supposed to be in the game "mate" they were. if it existed in the game how is it wrong to use it? the dps is so exaggerated its not even funny. you were soloing stuff? oh wow. no one solo's now right? people dont get tons of rads pop on a perk and take an auto axe to the three hardest bosses in the game and kill it in under a minute consistently. it was the explody lasers that were overpowered. the entire point of the game is running overpowered and fun builds. its pve focused. mad because something is better than what you have? try to get it instead of crying on reddit for it to get removed lmao
I'm pretty sure it will come back. Because they completly reworked them. Devs told us in the Discord, that this was intended. They wouldn't test it on the PTS, if they had no plans to release it. It's very different from the old legecies.
@@Momofukudoodoowindu i will reveal you a secret. 2 years ago energy weapons had normal durability. Then bethesda fucked it up and then "patched" but durability for energy weapons didn't reach the level before. Bethesda called ot a "good" fix so they would never fix it properly because it is in their eyes. And if you think they are going to change something substantially, they won't.
