Probably untrue. Everything in the game is downsized to compensate weaker hard drives. The Hoover Dam is way bigger in real life than presented in game thus more NCR soldiers would be needed to actually defend it. If I had to guess the NCR casualties would be 1,190 and the Legion casualties 4x that.

@@JohnDoe-xs5gv You can hold defensive positions with relatively few people. Even more when they are as constrained as a dam. Having thousands of people there, they would mainly stand on each other's feet

@@ohauss Do you think the only thing to Hoover Dam is just the top level? Get real moron. You have the entire inner workings that have to be defended. So yes, a thousand men would be needed to defend it. Also add in the fact that they didn't just defend Hoover Dam, they were pushed West, and fought at Boulder City and surrounding areas. Learn lore, or be quiet.

Legion would win but by the skin of their teeth. The Courier is the only reason the Legion gains access to their broken howizter which makes a big difference in the battle. Now would the Legion take New Vegas? That's a big no. House's forces would mop up the Legionnaires.

@@T0nik are you planning on doing anymore I know this idea would be allot harder as there's not any information that would show the true result but I'd love to see your perspective on who would win in the second battle of Hoover dam without courier interference obviously this would mean no house nor yes man and whatever choices the fraction would/may of made before the courier

I don’t think so NCR sharpshooters would be a big factor and waves of NCR reinforcements that should be on the way

Glad you liked it! And yeah through dialogue with Chief Hanlon he says "Oliver can't stand that rangers got credit for victory at Hoover. Whatever I recommend, he does the opposite. I said I wanted them on the ridge. He put them right on the western part of the dam itself. We don't have enough firepower to hold that spot. If the troopers fall back, and they will, the rangers will advance to cover Oliver's retreat. We lose the dam, Oliver and the senate are ruined." So from the sounds of it Oliver wants to hold the dam by himself the next time, so he gets all the credit. This is pretty much all that is said on the rivalry besides a few smaller pieces of dialogue

It seemed to be the easiest thing to use for what I was trying to do. I'm not a great artist or animator so it helped me save a lot of time making this video haha

The history books Caeser read while being a FOTA researcher must have covered the period before the Marian reforms. Or simply he preferred this system, which would probably be easier to train tribals with than the cohort system. Perhaps the cohort system will be adopted when the Legion becomes more disciplined and civilized. They'll need it for long distance campaigns where self sufficiency is a must. However if the legions are too self sufficient and disciplined well somebody is going to cross the Colorado River aren't they?

@@pedrokantor3997 did you just use the word civilized and the legion in the same sentence lol....new vegas takes place in the year 2281 and this asshole thought "hey lets use this old system that hasnt been effective for almost 2500 years, also all these laser guns, power armor and modern medical equipment are gay, then lastly we'll bring back slavery like that wasnt the worst shit ever and universally despised" these guys arent ever gonna get to a civilized state at best they might get to a dictatorship calling itself a republic/empire (see what I did there), save for plot armor, literally every other faction could and shouldve annihilated them already.
