​@zm1786 Yeah. I'm not opposed to the idea that people still manage to travel in post-apocalyptia, but that's gotta come with a story. For example, Colin Moriarty in Fallout 3 references his old man coming to the Capital Wasteland. Cait and Amari should've had similar stories to explain their heavy accents. The Nakanos are perhaps the worst examples, especially given dialogue that the family has roots in the Commonwealth.

Yeah, the lowest common denominator should not be the one deciding what is or isn't allowed. Neither should a large faceless corporation like Nexus. Yep, infact to combat that mod better Nexus could've just made fun of it by pointing out how it ruins Fallout style more, they somehow made Bugthesda look like they understand Fallout world more. Literally tons of Fallout fans critique bethesda for fetoshisinf 50/60s americana style when original Fallouts weren't about that, they were about sci fi future that 50/60s people imagined. There's great video titled "Bethesda never understood Fallout" and seems like first mod author never understood Fallout either

The “scaly lizard fucking” is clearly a joke if you’ve played the mod. It’s identical to fisto or the super mutant random encounter in fallout two, or like… all the sexual encounters in fallout two. It may be a little played out as far as jokes go, but it’s comedic and fits with the character of the faction; they’re built on obfuscating stupidity, and you can pass a skill check to talk business with the queen without any beating around the bush. The whole “scaly lizard fucking and also drugs” is meant to make you not take them as a threat, but in a lot of their endings they come to dominate the frontier in one way or another because no one took them seriously. They’re like the khans but if they were actually intelligent and cool. The fact that you as the player think that they’re nothing more than a joke or fetish is kind of the point, that’s how they’re seen in universe, and they take advantage of that fact in most of their endings. It’s actually really brilliant

@@overlordoftemi7255 the legion at least makes sense that you can join them, the enclave would not ideologically let you join them unless you were a pure human, which is the only reason they let you even work with them in 3, so being a pure human isn’t even enough for them. Enclave larpers threw a shit fit and that’s why people think the frontier is bad. If they didn’t, it would have been remembered as fondly as new California, which was at or below the quality of the frontier, and worked on by the same people, yet it doesn’t have the same reputation, probably because you can join the enclave. Single issue 4channers with no spine or moral consistency killed the frontier and frankly any other big mod that was planned, as there’s now a taboo in the fandom towards huge new Vegas mods (and huge mods in general, notice how there’s been no new one announced or that the current big mods haven’t gotten as much attention as they did before the frontier)

Both are bad games but one intentionally tries to be bad and the other is the frontier

Even if the area was diverse to begin with, after all that time the area would be notably more homogenous in traits (or maybe not since people do also self-segregate in diverse cities). Also the general concensus from what I've heard is that tribal and gender norms would revert back to their previous states in civilizational collapse, especially with scarcer resources driving people further to the edge.

Okay, well, if you think psychologically breaking a little girl to make her an obedient slave is not unhinged, perhaps because it actually happens all too often in our sickened little world, then I don’t want to know what fucked up thing you think is unhinged. That being said, I can understand the mentality of allowing a player to make his character evil, because otherwise the game’s story runs the risk of limiting the player’s role-play to heroes, anti heroes, and small time crooks of no significance. But seeing someone actually choosing to be this monstrous and takes enjoyment out of it, I cannot adequately describe the horror it invokes in me seeing it. I do think that what we imagine willfully in our head and heart, as well as the actions committed in fantasy, whether that be in daydream or video game, prepares the mind for the first realized offense, more than one truly realizes. For the average person, even contemplating such things sickens them to the core, and anyone who is tasked to recount such actions by another normally feel like they do so while drinking the essence of bitterness. Disgust is a key feature of a moral human being, that he or she should favor the sweet over bitter alternatives. A person who removes their capacity for disgust, believing that doing so makes them more objective and inclusive of competing ideas and opinions, may find themselves walking down paths horrifying, and they don’t even realize that they are.

Certainly would make the game more bearable (Although fixing Starfield would take ten times the effort that the Fallout 4 mod had), but lore-wise it probably wouldn't make sense assuming that replacement migration kept happening.
