Johnathan Nolan and friends have absolutely captured the essence of the video game universe and I totally here for this show. By the way, the South American comic con is happening right now in Brazil it's called CCXP thats why the trailers are coming out this weekend. The location is LA by the way. Also this series is canon to the game universe.
Love the enthusiasm, great reaction! I am pretty sure this takes place in Los Angeles a few years after the events of Fallout 4. Todd Howard has already said this show will be canon, so it's interesting to see a glimpse of the Prydwen (the massive Brotherhood airship), which would mean that canon-wise it survived the events of FO4. And it wouldn't be Fallout without the Best Boy. We have to have a Dogmeat.
Apparently the airship is a sister ship to the Prywden, so FO4 'canon' is still up in the air. ====Spoliers (maybe)==== . . . . BTS leaks has the NCR flag on set, so it could be that BoS are still at war with them since New Vegas
It's not the Prydwen, it's a different ship the name starts with a C. And I thought I read somewhere that the ending where it is destroyed was the canon one, but I might be remembering that wrong.
I'm curious to the timeline, in the original Fallout, The Brotherhood of Steel is kicked out/lost their base of power from the New California Republic. If we are indeed back in the NCR, there are many, many references that could be brought back. Including Harold the Ghoul and his trusty tree, Bob. ;)
@@susanzenonian5085 I'm waiting to see the Fallout Cinematic Universe expand to see, a Ranger take down Deathclaws with a custom Sequoia, Riley's Rangers battling Outcasts, locations from the DLC's, Zetans, I mean if the show is canon we could even see a Westworld-like virtual pre war world people could be stuck in to give us Wandavision like view of the Fallout prewar era. So much they could do and would be canon, that's the beauty of Fallout that it is so crazy and so inspired by so many Scifi that anything can make sense.
For someone that really hated what they did to halo this looks like it might be the best video game adaptation yet. I played the first fallout as a kid that was made by Interplay this trailer was pretty spot on with the tone.
I know you were being sarcastic, but never apologize for liking something that other people don't. Too many people think they're being selective when they're actually just whiny.
I played a little bit of Fallout, but honestly I am stoked for this show. It looks so good. Not only is Todd Howard a producer, but the creators and lead star Ella Purnell are all Fallout fans too, so authenticity of this show is going to be through the roof.
We know there were several control Vaults. Vault 13 was suppose to be a control vault but it's water chip failed unexpectedly. Vault 76 is also a control vault.
While still watching, I clicked on the comment section to say how out of 10-12 reactions I've watched of this trailer, no one mentioned or was excited about seeing a Mr. Handy, and within 5 seconds you mention Cogsworth!
I totally agree with you on 76. It's definitely better with friends lol. I'm so hyped for this it's insane Also this takes place in LA, i think 12 or so years after new vegas iirc (at least for our ghoul friend and vault dweller. Not sure if the BoS guy is connected to them yet)
I am delighted. This looks great for a teaser. If the 1st full trailer gives us a sense of the story being good, without ruining the plot, then I'll be sold.
If I remember correctly, it's directive was how long could they last without opening up that's why the overseer flipped when both the lone wanderer and dad left
Halo season 1 was great and I can't wait for 2. Don't even care what the haters say about it. But Fallout? Oh boy I am so damn excited for this! I can't wait. It looks amazing! 5 months is a long wait. But hopefully it will go by quick.
(the dog is always dogmeat) But this looks about 40 years before 4 and one of the settings looks like santa monica based on the pier...vault 33 isn't in any of the games. Don't know if it will be good, but a lot of good names attatched.
Fallout always had that goofy dark humor seeing really naive, innocent, sheltered vault dwellers dealing with crazy wasteland psycho bandits, lunatics and radiated nightmare creatures.
Instant sub. Love your channel fellow Fo76 AND Halo fan. Loved your reaction and then I was about to comment "and HALO too" then I heard the rest of your intro. 😂 Today has been a great day. Seeing a Dogmeat, made me literally tear up. 😏🥃
Great watching this with a fellow fan. I can't wait! I totally agree with you about seeing you favourite game characters on TV. I wish there would be a Red Alert or Command and Conquer tv series. Maybe some Far Cry too. It is L.A., so not Dogmeat.
The original Fallout took place in California, with the original Dogmeat - who was the bestest pup. Then they started naming all our companion pups Dogmeat. So Dogmeat lives on in all Fallout good pups.
We see the bombs fall on LA at the end of the trailer, and it's also supposedly canon. I wonder where she's going and if we'll see locations from the games if she goes far enough.
This takes place in the Los Angeles area, and it takes place 9 years after the events of Fallout 4. Hopefully the NCR is still a factor, since we don’t see any of them in the trailer. I hope they didn’t retcon them out and just make the Brotherhood take their place. Also no Super Mutants were shown.
I'm forcing down any hype i have about this show cause no matter how good it looks now, hollywood has the ability to fuck this up. I hope im wrong and i can be pleasently surprised but im sick of watching my nostalgic icons get destroyed.
