Man, I'm an extroverted introvert. I gotta be on the net but also I give no access to me 🤣🤣🤣 it's like one way glass. Like my presence is like ideas. I love it tho.
This podcast is more therapy for me than any therapist I've seen. When John went on his rant and started to get a tad bit emotional, I was like go John speak your truth! Your next book should be all about your rehab experience.
this episode was great xD. things I don't get: coffee social media movies in general electric vehicles greenwashing people who live on fast food soda people who thrive by victim mentality(especially minority groups) home decor vehicles/roads(incredibly inefficient in general) social media/yt trends how murder is legal in the US if the victim is negative in age your whole thing like virtue signaling, delete that, etc. fishing camping hunting ultrasugarization of food(i spent like 2 weeks on the following:) the average starbucks drink has 33.58 grams of (added) sugar the average Mc(donalds) drink has 33.57 grams of (added sugar the average Dunkin' drink has 31.16 grams of (added) sugar ---- all the obvious heresy in the "Christian" "church" California and a lot more I don't have time to write. Thanks so much for the podcasts, they really inspire my thinking.
This was the best episode so far. I read an article on you recently on Christianity today and then I heard about the whole Anni.F down situation it's so sad how people can be really hurtful. I feel CT did you dirty it was so frustrating to read and then how everyone hated on Anni because she was proud to be your friend that really sucked. However It was amazing to hear your heart about rehab the church, your support for the metoo movement and owning your own crap it was really refreshing, keep up the good work keep your eyes on Jesus and continue to live in repentance, redemption and restoration we are all rooting for you. 👍🙏
CT is like TMZ of the Christian world. They don’t do anything positive. They ruin other peoples careers and focus only on the bad of people. It’s should be shut down just like the SBC
Unmedicated birthing.... Recovery is 90% quicker easier and complications often occur from epidurals... I still have random contraction type pain in back where the epidural was....also look it up US is like 64th ( guessing) in line in birth safety all these 3rd world countries have much safer births and heathier kids without the drugs.
Everyone is different, it was trying an epidural or c-section with my first after 2 days in full labor, 10min after getting epidural baby popped out. Second kid got epidural way sooner and I was up walking and feeling great 2hrs later. Same with third and fourth kid. Friend gave birth unmediated and was in really rough shape for several weeks… everyone is different 🤷🏼♀️
I had no choice after 12 hours of labor doc said emergency c section i was like nah lets not. I had no choice but that was 20 plus years later, I was blessed he was healthy
I agree that it’s personal. My first two were medicated and my 3rd was unmedicated (because I hate needles and catheters.) I felt so physically and emotionally exhausted after my 3rd it was almost traumatic. My 4th was medicated. The epidural never slowed down my labors and I bounced back very quickly.
Great episode!! 👏🏻 Personally I don’t think someone as huge as the Rock is attractive compared to someone who just in shape. Also, A big reason to have an unmedicated delivery is because an epidural often slows down the labor. So you’re not in pain but your labor will last so much longer than just doing it the way God created your body to do it.
Also the risks associated with epidurals are not worth it to me. I know people who have had bad epidural experiences and very traumatic births. I’ve had 4 unmedicated births (2 home births), and will have number 5 in a few weeks. I’m pumped! ☺️
I had a medicated birth with my first child then went unmediated with my other two and I felt 10 times better afterward without the medication. But no matter how you give birth you get a baby at the end so it’s a win. 😄 Theres no better feeling than that moment you’re holding your newborn child in your arms. I’m really loving this podcast. And that oil change joke killed at The Majestic this past Saturday. Great show.
Dude, just put the sound man behind the front/forward camera. You got my neck hurting by the end of the video. Your just looking to the side the whole time.
I am so sorry that your social studies and history teachers failed you so hard!! 1917 - Civil War? Really? 1917 - Pearl Harbor? Really!? That had me laughing for sure! Sincerely, A public school history teacher! 🤣😂🤦♀
OMG John, I have the exact SAME bed situation! CAL KING and sleep on my side and other side is intact everyday. Just fold the sheet and blankets back in place, put pillows back on display in the AM LOL! Love the Podcast!!
I love this conversation about what the president should be like or look like. Pete & Sebastian had a conversation about this in the cast. This is so fascinating to hear ppl talk about this! Btw.... sebastian wanted a very "Fit" president bc it just breeds confidence for the ppl. I like how you guys are breaking them all down lol. Kennedy was probably the epitome of presidents but I'm not sure if he was athletic? I'm from Florida and I as many ppl think our Governor Desantis would be great, I agree. He's healthy, stocky pretty good looking and he's a freaking BOSS! Btw, thank you for your comedy, honesty and your also very good looking!! I'm hoping to see you in west palm. I just saw Sebastian in Orlando. We need comedy, everyone needs to laugh!! Especially now; covid, monkey pox, Ukraine, Roe v wade, shootings, deaths etc. The world needs to LAUGH more!
A few things... First off, I love your show and humor. Keep it real John, that's why we love you! Second, I had an non-medicated child birth (twice). I can be honest and say the first time, it was more about a test with myself. I wanted to know what is was like as God intended it. Going through the pains of contractions really helped me get both babes out QUICK. I didn't know it then, but non-medicated birth is a metaphor for life to me now. Anything difficult is going to be worth it. Last thing and please don't take this as a rip, but sometimes when your stories jump around and get off-track I think of those damn videos on social media where they reel you in but never reach the climax 😆😆
I loved the oil change they joke. It does work better when u tighten it up like you said. Maybe not in Chicago but here in NC!🤣 I love your explanations of joke telling. And making light of your jokes..so good! It's so refreshing. And when I'm having a bad day, laughter is such good medicine! I always look you up!😁
Doesnt matter what a person wants my help for. If I give it, it's none of my business. No virtue screening. I will drop a few dollars on a person just because not because I have screened and approved it. That's lame.
Everything you've talked about I've either said to myself, in my head or talk to about to my wife. All this canceled culture stuff. All this entitlement. It's just unreal. Keep up the good work.
The Vice(s) I Recommend, Jesus; Bible; Prayer; Gret Deeds/God's LOVE in Practical ways!😇😎😇🙃😇 Congratulations on Sobriety & Incredible, Hilarious, Unique, & Diverse Comedy...
Ep8- (unmedicated birth) have 4 kids. 3 epidurals, the last one was an “unmedicated” birth!!! Not by choice! Baby came before the anesthesiologist was available. It’s said that mom recovers faster without meds. Seems reasonable… HOWEVER having had babies both ways I would agree that recovery without meds was great. But the delivery was… worst pain imaginable. Soooo…. Lol
Love the podcast, BTW. But, as a Christian, it should not be about what you think. It all be about what the Bible says. The Bible has to be our truth. That goes along with disillusioned people with the church. It’s not about the church. You shouldn’t worship people or churches. You should worship God. Jesus.
We are Jewish, but non-practicing, and my 14 year old daughter is yet sure that she believes in any god. But she believes in the inherent goodness in people, and that simple fact nullifies christianity, en totum. If we are all born sinners from birth, how can we also be made in God's image? We are all naturally spiritual, but not religious.
I made the decision to have my 1st child was no anesthesia. I was convinced by others that the drugs go into the baby system and it's bad for them, blah blah blah blah. So I had a natural childbirth, no medication, and I also had to have an episiotomy. Google it. All without medication. It was so bad.. It took me 6 years to agree to have another child. When I had my 2nd child I told them I wanted every drug they would possibly give me, I didn't even need to be there, just get the baby out of me. And it was glorious.
Coffee shops…I don’t go to them, but I think a lot of those people are lonely. They set up camp and hang out hoping to meet people. That’s just my take on it. Diners, I think that’s the same thing. Regulars always going to the diner to socialize. I get it, but I don’t. That’s my take on that
I went for 12 hours no meds and I wasn't changing my mind, until the doc come in and said we are going to have to do an emergency c section. I was like I'm not up for that but i had no choice. I was awake during just couldn't feel anything and the recovery takes so much longer. With that said I'm just glad he was born healthy and that was over 20 years ago🥰
"Making the Bed" NO, I bring sheets/blankets down to Lat 1/4 or 1/5 ish of the Bed & Have ceiling fans on to air & dry them... Looks nice, neat unmade, Not sloppy - with a Purpose that I DON'T Get why others Don't Get! REALLY, Not joking, Totally serious! Although, SURE that mom would disagree with & Not understand/Get Reasoning... She, NIT a Believer, Quite a hater, Extreme Narcissist Actually; Me Definitely a Believer WITH GREAT Fruit, yet have Much room for Growth...😇🤔😇 Your Laugh, in the midst of jokes, Hilarious 😇😂 🤣🤣😇🤣🤣🤣😇🤣🤣🤣
Episode 8- (deconstruction) in my opinion seems like it’s getting back to the “spirit” of the law and not the “letter” of the law. There are ALL the little traditions that are getting in the way of really living your life in a way God would be pleased with. Example: wearing dress clothes to church is a tradition- if we are judging someone being in church in their pajamas the problem lies in is. They are AT church- do we think the Lord really cares what they have on?? Kind of my take.
I wish more women would attempt drug free births. It's not as terrible as everyone claims. Of course it hurts, but that pain is temporary. It really was amazing and recovery was so quick! Had 3 babies and would do it again.
I tried but after being in labor for so long They had to do an emergency c section, recovery is so much longer, I would have loved to be able to have natural with no meds🥰
My mom did it for me and said it was so unbelievably painful. I was a chunky baby boy but not a monster. Regardless, EVERY single birthday of mine, she reminds me of it. Like I asked her to do it 😂😂😂
Woah John so wrong about Disney adults. I have a full time job and I pay all my bills. I am a single mom of a child that is now an adult and yes I love Disney. I like spending my time at Disney, I get my high of experiencing all that Disney has to offer without kids! I get to spend my hard earned money on what I want and not ride it’s a small world and dumbo 100 times because that’s all the kids want to do.
I think the biggest reason to have an in medicated birth is that you are much less likely to have negative outcomes (further interventions like episiotomy {brutal}, forceps/vacuum assist, c-section, etc). Despite having one of the most advanced medical systems of 1st world countries, the US has abysmal stats for maternal and infant morbidity (injury) and mortality. Countries that advocate for and support unmedicated births have much better stats. I feel extremely blessed that I learned about these things before having children and have since had all six of my babies without medication or intervention. *flex* There are so many other options besides meds to make birth less painful, first of all not giving birth flat on your back. I could go on all day, but suffice to say it is not at all comparable to the voluntary suffering of camping. Lol.
Seeing you in Irvine. I like that you add new material. I saw Seinfeld and Michael Jr. together. Michael was hysterical to me because I had heard most of Seinfeld’s stuff. You nailed it during the pandemic!
So much of this needs context. Like what about Dave Ramsey and tiktok? I know he’s gotten in hotwater for his financial advice before but is this something new?
I’ve subscribed to a lot of podcasts with the hope of watching/listening to at least a few episodes here and there. This is the only one I’ve watched them all so far, and I love every one of them. Also, I’ve given birth three times, all without wanting or receiving an epidural. And I’d do it again. 🤷🏼♀️
I'm down for the Peter pans. I have opted out of grown shark business. Peter pan wasn't in bars. He was off in never never land playing daily. I say why not? It's our life. Jesus would have been a Peter pan I guess.
The whole unmedicated birth thing is such a flex for some women. And they look down on others. When I had my baby I suffer d for 12 hours then got that epidural 👍
I’m a Disney Adult!😂 I’m 21 years old and grew up going to Disney, so going there really makes me happy and nostalgic! They have so many fun rides, amazing food, fun shows, immersive hotels, and really cool merchandise😝 it’s a great way to get away from the chaos of the world for a few days 😁
