However, most circular reasoning is not this simple or short. Often there are many steps to hide the fact conclusion is the same as the premise.

There is an interest in encouraging false accusers to retract that would be undermined by enforcing prosecution as a result. Best for all if she can just walk away. Sadly. Shouldn't be true but that's the way it is.

This cost client NCO rank and a $20,000 enlistment bonus, half of which had to be repaid.

Talking to cops, Complaining Witness says alleged perp stopped as soon as she asked him to. Talking to her friends, LE sees she tells a different story. LE declines charges. Even based on CW's own statement, no crime. He stopped. Army then refers to a different investigating agency. Same (changing) stories. Acting as triers of facts (highly inappropriate for investigators) the agency says assault happened based on the 50+1 percent standard - even though they do not investigate according to the local jurisdiction to establish the elements of a crime. Command sits on the charges so long, statute of limitations expires. Charge gets tossed. That ought to be the end of it, but now client goes to board for involuntary separation for "serious offenses" even though the only basis for that statement is the inappropriate conclusion by the investigators. Why? Government says they feel it's important for client to be given (by compulsion) a venue to explain his side of the story - a 5th Amendment violation - but at the risk of losing his career.

The best 2 formal studies of false accusation were from the 1980s. One in American military bases, one in a single American county. Both concluded 40-45% of accusations were false. The important point is they used a high standard. They had enough evidence to prosecute the false accuser.
I spoke with the police when I was falsely accused. By telling my side of the story, I wasn’t arrested. Her side of the story had a lot of holes in it. Long story short, some chicks get vindictive when you move on first.

When I was falsely accused of child molestation by child welfare of all things, my entire Interview was the police asking a question and me saying I wanted to discuss it with my lawyer. Hours later, we offered a polygraph and they didn't even have enough to form a questionnaire for one. It isn't just women out there making false accusations. Oh and the cops had to make their little egotistical dig at the end to prove they still thought I was guilty "this file will never go away in case I ever see you again ".

I lived in Canada for most of my life. In the US now. While it's far from perfect here Canada seems to have relatively few civil protections. Freedom is easily curtailed. And it's badly governed.

I was falsely accused by a female coworker of having exposed myself in front of her at work, as a way to punish me for a mistaken assumption on her part that I had reported her to have committed a workplace violation to our supervisor. She ran the complaint to the state government and I wound up having to deal with our company's HR department and management. She had no factual evidence to back up her claim and, in fact, had a history of shaking down a previous employer for a financial settlement for a bogus complaint of sexual harassment and discrimination. Luckily for me, the case was dismissed, in part because I vigorously protested my innocence, had stellar character references from people at the company and threatened to sue her and the company for defamation. She abruptly disappeared from the job a few weeks later. I have learned that one has to be very circumspect with regard to words spoken or actions made in front of women when there are no witnesses present. I already knew this, as I had been a college instructor before and knew very well the necessity of protecting oneself when being alone with female students. At that college we, the faculty, were sanctimoniously lectured by the feminist president's coterie of kook feminists on the evils of sexism and sexual harassment at the beginning of every school year.

"enforcement guidelines" are not published laws, but confidential instructions to police to arrest men and let women off with a warning. They are standard in the US.
I don't know about Canada; but here in the States any crime you've been charged with, regardless of conviction, shows up when your name is run through their system.
Thank you for your comment. I'm worried for a family member who was charged with sexual molestation. The case was closed before going to court when accuser withdrew (ludicrous) charge. Will his name come up in a background check for being charged with a sex crime (against a minor) even though case was closed prior to going to court? Fyi, teen accuser is involved in therapy that supports treating perecived, even obviously false, events as "the patient's reality" (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy). Scary stuff for a falsely accused individual caught in the crosshairs of this rubbish.
@@northwestdestiny1388 It is my understanding that is the case here in the States. I have a friend that was in a similar situation kind of. A mutual friend met a girl and took her back to their motel room, they were out of town at a rodeo. The girl ended up getting caught by her boyfriend so she said the one guy took her to the room to be with both of them. The cops came treated them badly, arrested and charged them but let them go that night. Some time later my buddy gets pulled over for a ticket and the cop asked him about that charge. Bad stuff that can follow a person, I hope things work out in the situation you described.

The part about the accused kid asking the police "Wait; let me get this straight; I'm gonna be charged when I came to you? Is there something I missed the 1st time you told me? Please, explain it to me agin in a way I can understand" then repeat the question and another version of the cop's answer strikes me as Wagnerian or Led Zeppelin lyrics that would sound something like "Is that the way it is? Wiser one, explain more!" or something like that. Except in this case there's no explanation, like there is in a Wagner opera or a Zeppelin song. Luckily in the end, however, the charges against him got dropped, but SHEESH!

I've been there, I've been falsely accused, handcuffed, starved, until they forced me to apologize with my unlaced shoes in front of her, laughing, shouting, saying that the no got stuck in her throat and that I would not have stopped if she'd said no. It's been 3 years, the case was dropped, she filled another complaint that they don't want to touch. I've had moments with violent thoughts, unti I realized that at the end of the day when you've been deeply hurt you want to hurt yourself. And at the end of the day there is more honor to be on the receiving end of a false accusation than to do one : I know that whatever happens I can keep watching myself in a mirror without shame. They won't have my hate, life will charge itself to give them what they deserve : you can't act like a piece of shit without paying for it one way or another at some point.

I have had experiences with similarities to the case you brought up. Accuse a woman of a crime and you'll get accused of the crime. The same thing happens in therapists offices where they'll accuse men of "projecting". Tell a shrink that you think your girlfriend is going to kill you in your sleep because she's expressed a desire to: be accused of having violent fantasies yourself. I literally wouldn't report a woman who raped me or anyone else simply because I'd expect to be accused of being the rapist. I would want to see justice of course but what I've seen is no justice would be served and someone innocent will be the sacrifice
In general I say men have to learn to come forward. But I have to admit, you have a point with the rape thing. (MG)TOW is the best answer. Not a perfect answer though.
@@jalerasivak8431 Absolutely. I wish that men could come forward. I've reported very serious crimes with very clear physical evidence and, in one case, even a confession from the perpetrator. Long story short; I learned my lesson. You can't report things as a man. I am currently working towards starting a men's support program. It won't fix very much but I'm hoping it will at least provide a place for men to go that's better than nothing.

I mean if you have a confession and the police refuse to act, maybe sue them? Of course that would take money. Maybe try other authorities. Other police jurisdictions or the FBI. I've taken whole days off of work trying to call lawyers state wide (and a little outside the state but licensing becomes an issue then). 90% of the time they'll hang up at "Civil Suit against a police department". The other 10% will listen briefly and then usually ghost you. I've called federal agencies. FBI and the Justice Department. They tell me to get ahold of my local department of internal affairs. My local DIF doesn't call me back. I used to be a "Back the Blue" type all the way. After years of watching criminals go free and innocent people be pulled through the brush I just try to keep away from any law enforcement. Sheriffs don't seem as bad.

IMPORTANT ADDITION to know: no matter what this young guy suffered there is more waiting for him what public does not know . After all is finished and done they guy NON criminal record stays on record with RCMP for whole 5 years from the the day of the trial ended. not the accusation date but the trial date. Lets say trial drags for 3 years ( courts are snail slow) which is about right and then add another 5. This applies for murder chargers, treason charges and sexual natures accusations. Good luck to find a job as a teacher, medical field or anything where vulnerable sector job check is required. The guy is punished not being able to work in those fields and can not go to study as well in those fields. The course of life is changed forever. After 8 years total is very unlikely he will try to study or work again these fields based on fear. They guy will suffer from depression, PTSD, lack of trust in every female, along with his family. The family will be frantic if any female appears in his life later down the road. I ended up with cancer from stress. For Canadian voters think before you vote again for a feminist leader.

One of the BEST ways to PREVENT False Accusations is to follow Biblical Law. IF a person accused someone of a Crime and it was easily proven to be 100% false, the ACCUSER would receive the punishment that would have been given to the accused if found Guilty. This helps PREVENT people from bearing False witness because they would run the Risk of getting the Punishment if it was proven to be un true. ;)
Diana, please work a little bit on being concise. 5 minutes into the video and all I've heard is that there's false accusations in play, a confused university student and that the case is super important and detailed, repeated 20 times each, and I still have no idea what the case is about. This really should have taken less than a minute to introduce.
