I'm working on being able to do that with the hats, I have a laser engraver. And a shirt press so I'm hoping to be able to get a stock up to be able to sell stuff. (I was watching for the rabbits because I also have rabbits)

So far I've only had one false litter. I'm not really sure what happened. I bred 3 does that day, one to confirm that it is indeed time to retire her, and two first timers. One gave me a huge litter that I ended up needing to shelf. The other got really sick right after breeding, it got so bad that I though I was going to lose her. She's the only one who had any symptoms of any kind, and she never kindled. We're trying her with a different buck this week.

Hey Bobby, my mini satin delivered 7 kits the other day.. all 7 were scattered around her cage, very cold. As I was collecting them out I saw 4 were still moving. I warmed them up 3 made it. I put them back with her and this morning I found that she fed 2. I took the one she didn’t, warmed it with my other Does fur and hand fed it some goat milk. I then sneaked it in with the 11 kits my other rabbit as a foster .. fingers crossed . Did I do it right?

One more question: Would wildlife harass and scare my rabbits inside their outdoor cages ? Nothing can get inside the cages, but if something was trying at night, wouldn't they all have heart attacks from fear?

What supplements do you make for rabbits and how? Like Vitamin (C) and digestive support? Any feed that you DIY for rabbits?

Rabbits are pretty hardy in general but due need wood and dry, clean hay along with a quality pellet. You can provide supplemental feed with vegetables and herbs from a plot or raised bed or even introduce woody browse from leaves or trees. I’m new to rabbits and I’ve had two litters so far and have three more does due end of the month. I got a little excited and brought all my does lol but it does work out I get busy in the summertime so I’d rather have spring babies

I need help Bobby!!! I've got a veteran breeder, and I witnessed three falls off on 11-16-23, she pulled fur on 12-5-23, but still no babies? She has had three litters before this (Cloudy is about two and a half. Dutch/Lionhead, absolutely gorgeous rabbit, a little skittish but friendly); great mom, haven't had any trouble with that first litter as she was my very first rabbit I'd purchased that I got to witness kits birthed from - the people who sold her to me are my friends, and I saw her babies they had kept. Beautiful, large rabbits! The babies she had in the summer with me were big, chubby things that ate really well! She was wonderful at caring for them. My question though? Do you think this is a false litter? She is HUGE. If so, what do I do??? She seems so hungry, and I've been letting her eat as much as she likes. Free feeding hay. The nest she made is beautiful, lined thickly with fur. I tried to palpate her, but she's a little too skittish for it (not aggressive, just not a fan of me picking her up) - and the little bit I could feel, I felt nothing. What do I do, I would love to hear the opinion of a veteran??

palpating takes time most people don’t feel a thing at first just keep at it -is so beneficial to your breeding program to keep your rabbits on a strict diet. Try your best not to overfeed pellet and treats -when it comes to Hay it’s OK to provide as much as they will eat -rabbits are built for a high fiber diet. They are not going to get fat on a hay - pellet should be limited to a half ounce per pound right around 5 ounces per day should suffice for a New Zealand. If a rabbit gains too much weight, this can pinch off the fallopian tubes and can cause small litters- you will see 2-3 kit litters -if you have an area where you can take your dog out and let her get some exercise in a secure pen or a chicken coop. This may allow her to burn some more calories- try your best to cut back the pellet a bit but still provide unlimited hay and hopefully things turn around for you. best of luck!

When a doe has been bred it's unlikely she'll be receptive. It can happen but it's likely you'll witness growling and quick bites from her. This means she has already been serviced and isn't interested in breeding.

Hello - question: I am just starting out and I would like to know, is it okay to keep the buck next to the doe? Husband build me a longer cage and divided it in half with a metal screen "so they can see each other and have company. I am not sure if its a good idea? Aren't they just teasing each other? The smells and the visual. He seems to be a little depressed lately and I'm not breeding till next month.

It’s good to use a divider of some sort like a yard sign this will prevent your buck from marking your doe with urine. I was given 3 doe rabbits that look exactly like it 3 weeks ago to start my rabbitry breeds unknown but they were free and for myself at this time pure bred and pedigree isn’t super important but still nice to know what they are. I’m curious if that’s what they may be. I appreciate your time.
