You’re living very blessed I live in East Tennessee. It looks like that just amazing. That’s when you know you got good ground when you hear the critters and the birds they’re constantly fertilizing your ground.

Very nice! Hard work paying off. Am just starting, my first time doe gave 5. They’re 7 weeks, look similar in size to your New Zealand reds but mine are gray and have white underneath with blue eyes. I don’t know the exact breed😅. Keep it up!

Beautiful set up!! Do you feed pellets to your rabbits? I see 70% of your feed is hay. How does it compare to feeding 100% pellets?
@TheRabbitryCenter
@TheRabbitryCenter 23 дня назад
Adding hay into their diet increases their fiber percentages to 20% which is ideal, whereas pellet averages around 16% fiber. Hay ensures a healthy gut and better digestion and all around healthier rabbit. Hay is also a Beneficial for their ever growing teeth.

Bobby, thank you for your years of advice! Things are really blossoming on my second year at Jungledog Ranch and we are living with about 40 very healthy, very happy rabbits (thanks in great part to you). Bobby, I am stumped... Can you help? I have tons of houseflies in my rabbitry right now! My cages are super clean, I have a few 30" fans on my rabbits 12 hours per day, I am sure to keep all the rabbit manure away from the rabbits and moved out twice per week. I have fly paper and recently added cider vinegar and Dawn detergent in strategic areas but I am wondering if you have any further advice to help me out. Thank you for sharing your videos, they have helped me build a wonderful living arrangement for both my family and my livestock!
@TheRabbitryCenter
@TheRabbitryCenter Месяц назад
thanks for watching! Flys can be a real problem, especially around the manure. Try your best to get a routine of removing it regularly and transporting it to your compost pile. If your compost pile is near your livestock you can turn and cover and you can also hang fly traps and also introduce natural predators like wasps are nematodes which will help the problem. Also, basil, mint, or lavender are natural deterrents if planted near the area. Best of luck!

Hi, do you have any thoughts about the hay and commercial spraying chemicals? I recently watched some video and gardens are dieing from the hay and or manur. I also wondered if i used my rabbit dropping etc. On my garden would it effect it? What is your thoughts on this. Or maybe a video?

Odd question incoming: is it common for a rabbit's urine to change color *after expulsion? I watched my doe pee yellow/white earlier, and when I came back I noticed the spot (she has not had access to the area since) turned dark red. She gets a fair bit of wild parsley from my yard, and I know that's supposedly a big contributor to pigmentation. But does the stuff need a while to... Chemically change or something... Before showing the color?
@TheRabbitryCenter
@TheRabbitryCenter Месяц назад
No problem Rabbits process calcium and get rid of it in the urine and it turns it red. This is a common question when there’s snow on the ground because there’s red below the hutch
@user-px7mc5vr1n
@user-px7mc5vr1n Месяц назад
@@TheRabbitryCenter So that change in color happens ***after the urine is deposited? When it came out looking yellow/white? That was my real question. Sorry about the phrasing.
@TheRabbitryCenter
@TheRabbitryCenter Месяц назад
@@user-px7mc5vr1n If your rabbit is active and bushy tailed with clean eyes and nose and has a good appetite producing round firm manure. Its a fair assumption that it’s the calcium. It’s a common misconception there’s blood in the urine. No need to worry. Thanks for asking
