I'd like to add that Jonah has never been confirmed to be blind in his scarred eye. After making it out of camp after the scarring, a country doctor gave him the choice of having it either always open or always closed, and Hex chose open, because "What use's a closed eye to a killer, you old fool?!?"
It turns out that the body that got put on display was a guy who tried to steal hex's identity and got shot by the real Jonah hex. Hex then saw this as an opportunity to leave his old life behind and became a sailor.
I loved the Why So Serious portion and here...well damn it all...it fits. Didn't know the actual origin or Hex or hell his scar, I know some comic nerd I am. I thought he was born with it at one point, but I like the origin.
"Shytty 80's art"😂😂😂 yeah thank God for #JohnByrne #MichealGolden #NealAdams #GeorgePerez #TerryAustin & others that dropped gems in spite the abundance of wack art in comic book fodder
Because this happened in a fever dream sequence in which the symbolic representation of Jonah Hex's innocence buries his heart so that he becomes the coldblooded killer he needs to be for the world.
As of the time of this comment, Jonah Hex is once again displaced in time. Hanging around with Jeremiah Arkham in modern day DCnU and getting into a lot of forced moral arguments. For some reason people don't seem to want to cut him some slack when he saves lives with his brand of 19th century frontier violence.
imagine if jonah hex had a crossover with ghost rider. or better yet, what if the amalgum comics came back and hex became the ghost rider. everyone would be picking up that comic.
Thanks to this vid. I'm currently tracking all the Johnah Hex comics I can afford. Thanks CR for making me love this badass character, Also yes, Time traveling Johnah Hex vs Zombie Black Lantern Hex would've been the BEST!
