I'm from the US and I'm staying here in Baguio City with my soon Filipina wife.. I love Baguio and the weather is really nice.. people are also friendly.. hope you enjoyed your stay here..
Finally. A youtuber exploring the Philippines with kids. Im tired and fed up of seeing "husband-wife/ bf-gf youtubers" exploring the Philippines, almost all have the same content. It's so refreshing to finally watch a Family vlogs. Kids are very charming and very honest with their opinions and appreciations..😊🤩
That’s so kind! Yes it’s difficult to find larger families doing something like we are - the Philippines usually consists of couples or solo traveler’s, but we’ve wanted to do this for so long and hope we encourage others to come to this wonderful country. We really love it here! 🙏😊
Like any other countries, Philippines is not perfect but our country and people have a lot to offer. Don't be shy to ask the locals and sometimes with a broken english, they'll do their best to help. You have a beautiful family and so adorable kids. Enjoy exploring our beloved Philippines 🇵🇭. Keep safe and stay healthy.
We have really enjoyed our time here. I think at first it was more of a culture shock - but we are getting used to it now and the people have been so kind and helpful, we make an effort to talk to everyone we meet 🙏😊
As far back as 1960, I don’t recall any Baguio local speaking broken English. Their English is excellent especially at market where vendor speak English. So many peace corps in 60s that all of us are English speaking. I don’t about locals now 2022 if they have broken English due to Filipino language being spoken nowadays
@@normatible9795 we’ve found that most of the time English is well spoken, up in Baguio it was slightly harder - but everyone was so lovely that we ended up all speaking a mixture of everything!! Haha 😅
@@wistlfamilyadventures It's what we call a "native tongue". Coz we speak a different language (not Tagalog) that has hard pronunciations of words and most would carry the accent when speaking English. But yeah, it's fun to learn from each other through encounters and conversations. Plus, we do a lot of gestures which kinda helps foreigners understand more about what we're saying if they didn't really get our pronunciations. ❤😅
My God! How brave you guys are, first time travelers and with 3 kids? And in the Philippines?! Haven't been to the UK but I know there is a HUGE difference between the 2 countries both good and bad. Goodluck though! Be safe!
Aw thank you !! I don’t think we realised how brave we were being until now - and there are huge differences, we may make a video about that in the future 😊🙏
I cant resist to watch this over and over again cause your children are so lovely ,smart and respectful .. you guys are blessed ! Keep uploading videos !
Hello! Its always nice going out of your comfort zone. Im also glad you are loving Baguio. Its my go-to place because I love the mountains. Friendly tip - Never hesitate to ask for help or assistance. We love foreigners and we will go out of our way to help out. When eating Filipino food, always ask for help. Whenever your food arrives, you will see different dipping sauces. Ask which is best for everything. Some sauces needs to be mixed. Trivia - Filipinos love whilte people because they love your color like eyes, hair and skin. You will notice some Filipinos color their hair and use whitening soaps or lotion to achieve your color and complexion. Language will never be a problem since 70% of us speak good english. You may encounter locals having a hard time speaking English but they will understand you. Its part of our culture. As you can see even street signs are in english here. When you go to remote places here, there are less people who speak english so i suggest you use google translate. Enjoy Baguio! Oh before I forget, here are the things to try - Tsokolate de Batirol (cafe in Camp John Hay), Cafe at the Ruins and Good Sheperd. Its ube jam made by the Catholic nuns in baguio. Perfect pair for bread
Harry is such a handsome kid. Thats a lot of food at Good Taste. Damn! hahaha.. I am watching your vlog since your 1st day here in the Philippines. I love watching video of whole family vacationing in the Philippines. Baguio is a very beautiful city. The kids are so good in pronouncing the foods. Harry said Lechon and Halo Halo perfectly.
Aw thank you I’ll let him know 😅it was a lot of food .. But our kids are always hungry and we usually don’t eat lunch or we will have lunch but not dinner. Yes we’ve been learning so much about the food and culture so they are really familiar with Filipino delicacies 😊
My sister was assigned in Baguio, for about 4 years. Everytime I visit her for the weekends, it always feel like it's a holiday. It's one of my favorite places in the country.
Every Sunday there in Baguio is what we call "Family Day" and the city government closes Session Road on that day to give way for the Sunday Street Market. I highly recommend visiting Session Road on a Sunday. Lots of activities there for the kids to enjoy.
Im new here your vlog ,im from philippines thanks for your family to come philippines enjoy many places philippines lots of beautiful beaches and others things dont hesitate to ask people if you need .pilipino people friendly but some other shy they just looking at you but doesnt bad meaning, bcz im the one also quite to see foriegner people but deep inside we are happy bcz you come to our country .other shy to communicate to foriengner few people only.just enjoy everytime where ever you go in our country.
I'm happy to see the Philippines in the eyes of foreign family youtuber with authentic videos. Baguio is a favorite city because of the weather and greenery.
I am so happy that so many of you foreign vloggers enjoy and explore the country where I spent my first early years of life. Have Fun! Burnham is a city park which is quite popular.
seeing you with the children enjoying Burnham Park, Something's coming back to me it's like seeing my own self when my children were that same age, how we wandered around that city of Baguio during summer with no plan just going with the flow, they're all grown-ups now and we're still laughing about those days whenever we're opening our photo album. BTW there are eateries around Burnham Park where you could enjoy local food. don't hesitate to ask the locals they're all willing to help esp., tourists People of Baguio are one of the Nicest people that the Philippines have. . .
Aw wow, yes we are trying to spend as much time with them as possible before they grow up and don’t want to be around us anymore haha 😅 yes we did go to a few - we really loved the food in Baguio 🧡
I'm so proud of you all and to see that you all coming out of your comfort ZONE and exploring the country. I live in the UK 🇬🇧 and was born in the Philippines 🇵🇭 1 hour drive from Bagiou Naguilian lol I think in UK we are close neighbours I live in Suffolk area 1 hour away from Norwich God bless you and your family
Oh wow we would have been close - yes Suffolk isn’t far at all, whereabouts in Suffolk are you!? Yes it was a big jump and we hope that we get to explore as much as possible 😊🙏
Glad to see that the entire family is starting to feel relaxed in Baguio. BTW congrats on the 1K subs! I have followed you since you arrived in the Philippines and have seen some of your videos before you left the UK for the Philippines. Your courage and determination are admirable! You now have a 1K strong Filipinos behind you. Keep pushing, and will be here to support you!
Thank you so much for your ongoing support! Yes we can’t believe how much support we’ve recieved, yes we’ve definitely relaxed more and are settling into filipino way of life and culture 😊 thank you again 🙏
Thank you for bringing us along on your journey! Wow, what a cool place for your first overseas family trip, although you chose the rainy/hot season! Good choice going to Baguio during the summer months. ;) I really wish I could visit there someday. The Filipino people really are lovely.
Thank you! We’ve wanted to visit the Philippines for a very long time now and decided to just go for it! Yes Baguio is beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay there 😊🙏
I really enjoy watching the kids! ❤ they are so cute! 😊 harry is the bravest almost the food he likes are the filipino food! He really the adventurous one 😂 keep it up harry! 🤗
You have such a loving family, I can tell that you’ve raised them so well 🥰🥰🥰🥰😘 I lived in London for 5 years and now in Wellington, NZ! I’m from Cebu, Harry would love some lechon in Cebu
You’re all so brave. I admire you all traveling in the Philippines where you don’t really know much about. It’s ok if you pronounce the names and the words wrong. We understand because some of them are hard to say. Most of the names and words are in Spanish like Dr. Jose Rizal. He’s our national hero and has monuments all over the country. Stay safe lovely family. I would recommend to watch Hobo Ventures n Vagabond Awake. They were just in Baguio. They have lots of infos where they’ve been.
Yes our pronunciation is not good at all 😅 Kevin especially struggles with languages the most, but we are hoping to learn more of the language as we go! Thank you for your recommendations we can’t wait to see more ☺️
It's refreshing to see visitors touring the Northern part of the Philippines other than Manila and our beautiful beaches. Are you going to visit the Visayas as well?
The beaches are best for you peeps from Uk not during the summer but this December - late January. It will be so scalding hot if you go by March till May.
I'm glad you guys are starting to get your footing in the country! I understand it's a lot more difficult specially with a bigger group. I genuinely hope you guys stay for longer and I have a coming trip to Boracay and maybe I'll see you guys there. I'm subscribed and can't wait to see future vlogs!
Ah we are so jealous we’d love to go to Boracay at some point on our trip it’s a very beautiful island! Yes we are slowly getting more comfortable thanks 🙏😊

weather here are very unpredictable being a tropical country, specially in the provinces, even our summer season has some rains also. so be prepared and bring umbrella for the rain and also for shade if its too hot. tip: when eating rice, use the spoon to easily scoop the rice, much easier than using the fork to eat rice. try also ordering the soups in Filipino restaurants for you. enjoy your stay in Baguio City!!!
Yes the weather here is crazy but we love how different it can be even in one day! We still need to get an umbrella 😅 thank you we will start using spoons now! We haven’t tried the soups yet, we will have to give them a go thank you 🙏
Tofu is taho in Philippines that street vendors always offers, but it's also tokwa if you buy the other kind that use for deep fried cooking in local Filipino home
Watch the meets the nomads vlog they were traveling in the Philippines with two young kids. Maybe you can get some ideas how they went through while they are traveling in Philippines. Have an open mind but be safe. Enjoy the cool weather in Baguio. Try Tagaytay also . There’s a PITX bus depot in Paranaque that can take you to different regions of the Philippines.
We will check them out, thank you! It’s great hearing so many ideas and recommendations to go and seek out 😊 yes the weather was a lot cooler - still hot for the UK though 😅
Haha I just played this episode and So happy that the camera focused on them and I heard them speak lol. Sorry I'm just a new subscriber and haven't watched the whole series so I had asked if it's okay to hear them speak too. I love your kids ❤
Aw no problem at all! They can be very shy, and we don’t want to film them too much so it doesn’t disrupt their day to day life, but it’s lovely to catch moments when they do so I understand completely 😊🧡
Aww. It’s good to see that you guys had a good first impression of Baguio City. I’m a Filipino living in Hawaii. But, my family and I stayed there in Baguio. And I graduated from Saint Louis University there. We chose to stay in Baguio because of the cooler weather
Yes they were some of our favourites too! Baguio is a great city, and thank you so much we are so glad to see so many enjoy what we do. We love the Philippines and will show it off as much as we can 😊🧡

Welcome to the Philippines. I know we are not perfect and not 100% comfortable compared to what you might be used to in your country but I hope you wont get too disappointed with your expectation of my country. Filipinos are very helpful, of course there might be some exceptions, however most of the time we are helpful. Feel free to approach the locals but at the same time be careful too. Take care always and Mabuhay.
@@wistlfamilyadventures food that you might like in baguio are bulalo,(beef soup), chopseuy with broccoli, cauliflower and shrimp or pork, sisig pork or tofu. Halo2 for desert
In Wright Park area, you can go to The Mansion, Mines View Park, Good Shepherd, Country Club, Camp John Hay. Our favorite resto in that area is Secret Garden...

We went to Baguio back in 2003. It was an 8-hour travel via a coaster. It was draining. Like you, I have vertigo as well, but it was also worth it when we got there.
Try to visit Cebu this coming January because Sinulog Festival is coming back sinve pandemic. That's every 3rd sunday of January.. Experience the festival for sure your kids will have fun also. Keep safe and God bless your family 👪 😘 😘 😘
Good Taste is really a must. I love their cream puffs and buttered chicken. I miss Baguio more now just by thinking about it. I grew up in Tuba, Benguet which is about 30 min from Baguio but then I studied high school in Baguio and so the places in this vlog brings back memories. And so thank you for your vlogs, at least it somehow pacifies a bit of my longings.❤❤❤
Hi guys you missed the memorable passing of your very loved Queen Elizabeth ..the longest ever reigning Queen exited with dignity and grace inspite with her family scandals . She did ‘’Well Done” your Majesty Queen Elizabeth….you will be missed and remembered by all…

If you guys want to go to the beach that is beautiful as boracay, you can try going to saud beach and tondol beach. These two beaches are only in the nothern part of the country. Less touristy too.
Wow thank you we want to research some beaches here on Luzon before we visit an island as we heard they are just a beautiful - we will add those to the list 😊🧡
Since cutting down on my sugar, i find that any order of drink or beverage outside such as the strawberry taho, I can be happy with half the sugar. :) Most vendors will customize and cut the sugar if you ask before they make the drink.
That's great 1st day. Burnham Park. Strawberry Taho. Ube Ice Cream. Good Taste Resto... Bring the kids to Wright Park for horseback riding. PMA on a Saturday to watch the parade. Make sure to wear socks and shoes, no slippers.
New subscriber here and a Baguio resident, welcome to the city, hoping to meet you one of this days. It usually rains on the afternoon. Enjoy your stay here.
