I think part of the enjoyment is the ineptitude. You guys aren't shit, but you're not great either. So most of the moves are a luke warm, with the occasional Chris Trott error or amazing play it makes the gameplay more interesting because not every play will be "okay" some will be great and others will be utter trash The competitive nature of it works well for you guys too, because it's all against all, it allows for (most especially Smit) to start shouting abuse at everyone else

Most people like watching you play this because it's a competitive game and you're all roughly equally matched in terms of skill level. Also there's good variety with all the different weapons, weapon sets, custom levels, etc.

Smith, I'd argue it's the same across all your vids. We love watching you as inept chatty shit. Low-mid level stimulating games generate better convo, but a skill gap increases frustration and banter. Eg trials, gta, worms, dayz, Minecraft, humans fall flat, etc. They all stick around bc they ain't too demanding for your brains maybe?

Watching this is like a Hatchat in the same way Trials is, however, unlike trials, which ends up devolving into watching just trott, this is a little more ivolved, so you can enjoy a cheeky little game and still enjoy your general discussing of various topics!

I would actually like to see Smith play Stellaris solo. I'm trying to get into it myself, but I'm struggling to fit some of its complexity together. I think Smith's (usually) relaxed demeanor and tactical inclination would be interesting to watch; very much the opposite of the Armchair Admirals' panicked click-spamming saltfest.

Psychoville was an amazing show! Not as good as League of Gentlemen, but still bloody amazing. Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton are amazing writers (Ross' worms are named after Psychoville characters if you didn't know by now)

You guys should play a bit of Warhammer Vermintide 2! Its similar in its gameplay to L4D2 in that you can wander around killing stuff half-paying attention, but the combat is much more satisfying and the enemies are a bit more varied than just "zombie" and some specials (although Vermintide 2 has the same annoying specials). Think you guys may have played it before, but if you were looking to play something L4D2-esque but a bit more fresh, there's my recommendation.
