@@mommom6573 I was just about to say something to this effect. @Gutchie Spencer I've learned that some people will "dislike" a video due to the nature of the content as opposed to liking it. Like in this case, I don't "like" videos that revolve around death and the loss of life because of the nature of them. I also don't "dislike" them either. But for those who may "like" it because of the sentiments expressed about the people, you'll have others "dislike" the video for that same reason, the lose of someone who meant so much to others. So I don't think "dislikes" of this nature are callous or done out of ill intent rather the total opposite, out of emotional heartbreak and sorrow.

Thumbs up on a tragic video is not in celebration, but in recognition. I guess some ppl take a thumbs down on a tragic video as being heartless to the tragedy. This family was so young, this is so sad. May they Rest In Peace.

It depends on how you look at it. Thumbs up could be for he was a great man. And it's a good thing, for the public that it is advertised and that their lives are celebrated. Also a thumbs up in praying for the family and the sadness of the loss of this family to family, friends, and students. You should also calm down. There are other ways to view this video. (Is the glass half full or half empty.....) Next time think before you badger people. This is a tragedy and I agree with the celebration of this family and pray for the family, and the loss of their presence in the lives of others who love them. "Thumbs up" Thumbs down could mean also, "who cares? No body want to see this video" Think about it.....Thanks

Sometimes thumbs down could be because it’s not a good thing to some people. They may feel disrespectful putting a thumbs up to a story like this. Thumbs up to most people means it was good.

Yes I watched the RU-vid video. If it's the same one, it happened back in November. They were from Atlanta and they were on vacation in Puerto Rico. The wife I think may have gotten caught in a rip tide or something like that and he went to help her and they both drowned.

Because they or another driver make a mistake on the road, because they have a genetic predisposition to cancer, becouse they caught Corona virus and their immune system couldn't fight it enough, because they were attacked by criminals, because they fell in a swimming pool as toddlers, nothing mysterious about good people dying; bad people die the same ways. It's just life. :(

There are some people's stories I have really struggled to put a thumbs up on. They have been so horrific, angering, and heartbreaking. Such as the one where a 911 operator treated a woman so wrechedly while the woman drowned in her vehicle!!!! Even though I'm a member of the channel, there are some like that, where I don't thumbs up or down it because it's really hard to know how to respond. The owner of the channel says to either do a thumbs up or down, whatever you feel is appropriate.

Before facebook had numerous options, I know some one who misunderstood facebook likes. If someone posted a sad story, she would thumbs down the post, and when I asked why, she didn't want to celebrate a bad thing and she couldn't understood the likes - to her people were insensitive. Point is, it cld be some other reason

Most people feel sad or sorry or believe they are in heaven together. What a thumbs down means in case like this I don't know but might need to look inward
