Ikr it reminded me of those videos nannymaw makes about being kidnapped or getting fired when they're trying to hold back laughter. Like this isn't even porn-level acting.
I still can’t believe he thought doing a live interview would help his coverup efforts. I remember the public went from being unsure if he was involved, to be completely certain he did something very very bad to his family, after that aired.
who tf is upset at long Dreading videos? You guys are doing excellent work, and i appreciate how thorough you are. Leagues above any of the other true crime videos I've seen.
The only problem with 1-2 hours video is the ones who only put interrogations with barely any commentary besides body language thats just vile and lazy. I love long deep dive true crime videos, for example look at Matt orchard how he does it. Thats how you truly do 1+ hour long videos and put in the work
The same types that complain because he’s covering “popular” cases. Just go read through some of the comments on the channel’s community posts and the types who go out of their way to complain about the most ridiculous stuff as if they only make these videos for _their_ “entertainment”. People acting entitled to convince others to do things the way they want it to be done.
Oh they're sane all right, but they completely lack any sense of empathy. CW is a psychopath. Psychopaths know that when they stab, shoot or strangle someone that they will die, they just don't CARE that they will die. CW did not suffer a psychotic break where he didn't know what he was doing. He was in control of his actions all along.

Seeing the little girl's shared bathroom made me tear up a little, that shared bathroom will never have any sister arguments over who stole the other's hair stuff, no doing each other's makeup, no asking if each other's outfit looks good, there will never be any of that because of their own father. It really breaks my heart.
Same. And the love that their mama put into each of their bedrooms to make them suit each child's personality. His mother saying “I wasn’t worried” even if her assumption was that Shanann took her grandchildren and she might never see them again is psychopathic behavior.
This part gives me chills. The mother spawns the psychopath. Didn’t go to the wedding because of pure hate (wow), yet supported a murderer by never missing a moment of the trial. Did they look deeper of the mother participating in the plan?
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Even w the girls and Shannan gone and her knowing her own pig of a son was responsible, she still bad mouths that women and blames her for her son wiping out his whole family. That women is the devil and she surely has a seat waiting in hell for her next to her son.
🙄 @epicskyline She didn't think she'd never see her grandchildren again. She thought Shanann was punishing him and would be back after a tantrum because that's what Chris was trying to make people believe.
@@emilykhine3743 No, NK was at work. She had nothing to do with Shanann's or the children's death. It is just awful that she had to change her name and move far away.
I love that her friend just KNEW something was up. She's the reason his plan fell apart so quickly. What a sick person. He could've just left his family. Why he had to do what he did is beyond understanding.
The moment she touched her phone I think is when she really knew. She was suspicious before and making waves to find her but at that moment she almost look like she was going to break down.
She really threw a wrench into Chris’s plan. Did she not? I’m sure he planned on changing the bed sheets, and a general clean up when his work day was done. I’m Certain the plan was to be spending time with Nichole that evening.
Also the neighbor being like “nah he’s suspicious as hell” was super important. He knew instantly. I don’t know what this case would be like if his neighbors didn’t know him so well

No matter how many times this case has been covered, I will forever shudder at the image of Chris smirking as he pleads for his dead children and wife to come back to him.
I knew about this case, but absolutely NOT to the extent Jiles covered it in Part 1. Chris Watts gives me nightmares, his mother does too. He murdered miracle babies! Shanan was told she probably couldn't be a mom and......oh, this breaks my heart....this case haunts me like the murder of Elijah McClain. 🌹
whatever about killing his wife, to kill his daughters is even worse... they adored him as many videos show and he appeared to reciprocate.... some evil must have possessed him to do such vicious acts
If you think that's bad, you should hear the recount of the killing of the daughters. Don't expand this message if you don't want to know... Okay, so basically he said (and I'm only using HE for the sake of conveying the story, because honestly, IT doesn't deserve human identifiers) that he first smothered the little one CeCe, while she was sitting right next to Bella in the back seat. After he kills her and dumps her body in the drum, Bella looks up at her father and asks "is that going to happen to me too?" and this FUCKING WASTE OF AIR SAYS "yes", then he smothers her too. Unbelievable...if only Hell would take non persons...
Do not listen to the people who wants condensed videos. Us true crime fans sit through grainy 18 hours long interrogation tapes with horrible audio. Even at multiple hours, these are a breeze to watch and very well made! Thank you so much for all the work you're putting in.
Right, this is like watching a movie from 50 years into the future compared to some of the interrogation vids I've watched and this video is still 50x shorter too. How anyone interested in true crime could ever say "I want shorter videos" has gotta be either just trolling or just ignorant to why most people who watch true crime wants long videos in depth, it's because we want EVERY single little detail, we needs it lol😂 it's our crack 😂😂😂😂😂
There are plenty of channels covering this superficially… if in depth details are too much here, they can easily find superficial 1 hr summaries elsewhere.
It’s most likely people who are used to watching 60 second short clips on TikTok. There is a true crime TikTok community, but they can only give you very brief summaries of these cases because they can only post short videos. Anyone who enjoys knowing as many details about a case will appreciate these longer format types of videos.
i genuinely get excited to see how long these will be and get disappointed when they’re less than 2 hours 😭 and i know so many of us are the same, short form isn’t everything and will not outlast long form media
I love long form. This is why I pay for content. I like the length and detail and I am grateful they are able to do this on patreon. Maybe if they wanted to post a short form version for RU-vid but I say the longer the better.
100% agree! I was disappointed that this one is only an hour. I was disappointed that the first one was only an hour and a half. The ffwd through the videos wasn't needed. I would have watched every minute. Especially if it made the video four hours long!
How stupid is this idiot? He didn't have to sit and talk at the police station as it was his right to do so. THAT is what solved this case...he implimented himself. Loose lips, sink ships.
I will never forget watching chris' TV interview in real time on the news with my family as a teenager and afterwards my dad said "oh he did it." And my mom just said "he absolutely did. Wow." Whenever I watch anything on this case I can't stop thinking about that moment and just how little this guy cared for his children, his wife, or even his own freedom with how poorly he tried to cover it up.
We may be animals but we have enough sense to know when something is majorly off, like a husband and father whose family disappear showing little to no emotion.
@pnwlady It's not even that necessarily... people can be shit with showing emotion and still be sincere and believable... there was just a wholly different level of off putting interaction from this dipshit. It's not even describable, it's just there in how he communicated in those moments.
Hi! I also watched this on the news. His micro expressions made the hair on my neck stick up. I don’t think I even heard what he was saying before coming to the same conclusions your parents did. What a terrible thing to witness.
Anyone complaining about how you cover cases doesn’t deserve your work. We love the depth you go into and comprehensiveness. Plenty of channels out there doing 20 minute vids that barely touch the surface. Don’t change, you’re awesome.
I love how Nicole stayed at the house even after the police officer and detective got there, so Chris couldn't tell any lies about Shanann or the situation.
In the first part of this video when they’re going back and forth between the bedrooms, was there someone else in that bedroom to the left because I kept seeing something walking by the door?
This was before or after she answered the door at her own home and her first question to the cop is "Am I being arrested"? How about explaining that to me?
Everyone needs a friend like Nicole. If she hadn’t been so prompt and insistent on trying to figure out what happened to her friend… who knows how long it would’ve taken to find the remains

It is thought that Chris, like many men, married a woman much like his mother. Shanann was very dominant. Controlling. Could be terribly mean. (This is according to her friends and her mother). The financial issues they were having were due to Shanann's misuse of the money that Chris earned and she was actively removing money from his 401K to put into her MLM without his knowledge. I think Chris fell in love with the parts of Shanann that closely resembled his mother and I think in the end those parts were the parts Chris desperately needed to get away from. He should have received the death penalty... he _smothered_ his children and the fact that he is able to breathe when he stole the air from them is intolerable.
@@QuinnieMaeI think Shan'an was forced into a more domineering role by Chris' lack of maturity and empathy. I don't imagine he was very proactive about making sure his kids had their regular baths and balanced meals. He sat around and waited to be asked for "help".
@@QuinnieMaeThe 401k was not withdrawn without his knowledge. Kessinger even mentions that he was withdrawing funds from it during her interrogation. yes that’s the only part I’m having trouble with this series, there’s HEAVY nuance to everything in this case & his analyses are like the mainstream based perception….its not victim shaming to acknowledge she was not paying their house insurance for months & that any day they were going to be served for it….all the while Chris wasn’t even allowed to access the account(s) because of his past “poor money handling” lol…. Which mirrors the history I followed too far about the legalities involving Shanann’s previous employer….dirty south … who alleged she stole a sum of money from but after reading the court documents myself it neither proved or hindered the conclusion, she did or didn’t… it was eventually dropped & not because it was abundant there wasn’t an issue, in my humble opinion….MLM’s literally brainwash people. I went to lunch with a high school friend who was trying to recruit me for beach body because I’m active & would post about my workouts on my social media, after she gave me the “Schpeel” I tried asking her about life, topics other than the MLM… she wouldn’t divert from the pitch…this was someone I grew up with..it was so disturbing. I dare say this could cause someone to embellish illnesses to bolster the efficacy of a product they’re selling… to show “look how it cured me” so to speak. I’ll never not see all four of Shan’Ann, Bella, CeCe, & Nico as victims & may their spirits rest in God’s grace & peace for eternity… 🙏 Amen… but it’s also very hard to acknowledge how Chris tried paint their life out one way & it clearly wasn’t the case but she’d been doing the exact same thing, which isn’t to align them or their convictions by any means but I believe even if not the prettiest or most easy to talk about…. Are important facets to fully inform people of a case rather than us digesting what we could’ve seen on a dr Phil re run. Which is never how I’ve perceived this channel’s coverage of cases. I’m still disturbed they were okay with the world thinking she hurt her children thus Chris hurt her… how is that not condemnable!? but instead pretty much everyone besides Baumhover, if memory serves, who retired, all got promotions.
I don't think I've ever seen such a clearly guilty person. His entire manner, movements, lack of panic or concern...the list goes on. Did he think he was coming across as innocent?! He murdered his wife and children just a few hours earlier....i can only imagine what Shannan's family have gone through these past years. Unthinkable. He is a monster.

By far the most ridiculous and bizarre action of his attempted coverup was his cancellation of his daughter's schooling. He literally thought their school would be the only people in their lives that would notice/care if they were around or not, and didn't consider how incredibly incriminating that is.
It was an idiotic thing to do. He totally jumped the gun erasing his old life & beginning his new. Calling the realtor - they were 3 months behind in mortgage payments & calling the school which they owed money that day, as it was the first day of school.
the mistress knew and i’ll always believe that in my heart. she wanted his first son. someone on here said random people all over have cried more tears for shannan and the kids than this monster ever has.
Absolutely. The fact she spoke to him for hours the day before but can't remember what about. The fact she was shown to be in the area when Chris was leaving. The fact Chris knew the oil barrels had alarms that would go off if they surpassed a certain weight, but he didn't have the knowledge of how much was in them but Nicole did...and he chose the right barrels in relation to the girls weight. Or all the proven lies she told while being interrogated. There is just so much that should have lead to her being seen as a poi not a witness!
The mistress is related to someone in law enforcement and she went into damage control mode instantly. The weird thing is that she really didn't need to because she was given the benefit of the doubt for some mysterious reason even though there was a lot of evidence indicating she had knowledge of the crime in advance.
So Shanann kept an immaculate home for her family, was involved in every aspect of keeping things running, loved this man and was ready willing and able to step up and address any issues they were facing. This guy didn't have the maturity or ethics to find a different way to deal with things.
One bankruptcy, another looming. She lived in a fantasy world and he was too weak to step up and call a halt to the overspending. As is so often the case, the kids were caught in the middle.
Whaaat? She was clearly a nightmare to live with when you look deeper into this case. She bankrupted him with that nonsense mlm thrive scheme, ran up their credit cards, they were about to be foreclosed upon and declare bankruptcy for the second time. He was out working 12 hour days while she sat on social media all day, after dumping the kids in a 500$ a week creche. She no way deserved what happened AT ALL, but people need to stop idolising her as some kind of saint. He snapped. It was a strained marriage.
It still boggles my mind that his presumed outcome here was that everyone would simply accept that his wife had taken the children and left… and contacted no-one known to her ever again, including her own parents and her brother. I feel like this can’t be what he thought would happen… and yet this must be what he thought would happen 😳
He doesn't have any friends so I don't think it occurred to him that people would notice she's missing so soon. And he could appease anyone asking where they are for a while.
Chris doesn't even seem like a real person. He's like the human manifestation of "live laugh love" genera artwork you see at Hobby Lobby. Just generic and mindless.
Me too...people talk about Nichole Kesinger having something to do with it. I say no way anyone could ever see what he did coming, never mind helping him. Noooo way. He did this all by his selfish self.
Yes . Did you notice he takes something out his pocket while his hands are on his head but instead of taking his arms down he leaves one hand on his head. He’s shitting himself. Then he speaks to the cop with one hand still on top of his head he looks so awkward and guilty. Plus wouldn’t you be glued to the footage to see if anything is picked up on the camera? Not him, he knows no one came to harm them or they left that house alive.
This man really had to work to dredge up a happy memory with his children. "I miss telling them to eat their food" is all he can come up with, it isn't even that happy, and definitely not the first thing you would say when your child is missing. He later repeats the same thing in his interrogation, word for word. This man never loved his family even a bit, and has a case for being the dumbest criminal in modern-day America.
I was JUST about to comment on this. Hes just complaining! He can't conjure up a single positive memory. "I miss playing with them" "i miss their smiles" LITERALLY ANYTHING!!!! What a massive asshole
Exactly thank you. I've read it all with this case and so much of the internet is disgusting with lambasting Shanann. But the proof is here. Not only is he a coldblooded murderer, but it's very clear he was never invested to begin with. The only other thing he could conjure is how they would barrel run him. Which shows how much of their world he was to them. And how little of his world they were to him.
@criticalmoss The whole painting Shann'ann as a villian was just to throw everyone off of Chris's trail. It's disgusting how some people have fallen for it even after the truth came out.
@@criticalmossexactly. Shannan worked so hard and was loyal to her family. It's sickening that people can victim blame her as if being on social media a lot, etc means she was abusive and made him kill her and their children. He's a covert narcissist!
"I hope she's safe somewhere with the kids" as he grins and sucks on his lower lip. He murdered her along with their unborn baby by strangulation. Then drove Bella and Celeste ALIVE with their mother's body on the floor. He buried Shen'ann in a shallow grave, then proceeded to suffocate first 3-year-old Celeste and then Bella, who fought for her life--and dumped them separately in the oil tanks. And he said he hopes they're safe.
Watching and hearing his mother--that hag--shamelessly pour out indifference is mortifying and proved to me, at least, why Watts is a psychopathic narcissist.

The best friend and the neighbor are the heroes in this story, as much as there can be one. Chris is stupid and would have gotten caught pretty quickly. But the neighbor and the best friend telling the police that he lied and that he wasn’t acting right really helped out. I hope that if nothing else, they know they did right by Shanann and the kids.

I'm a 19 year old guy,and I've been watching crime videos for years and usually don't get emotional. But seeing those little girls bedrooms made me so sad. the monotone voice, the he wandering eyes, the lack of panic in his demeanor, anybody that saw that monster on the news probably knew INSTANTLY that he did it.
We know this only after the fact. Anyone who’d didn’t already know Chris’ baseline for his emotions and behavior might suspect something was up, but literal strangers would not. Be careful in trying to be armchair psychologist and investigator. Heck, I’d even tell investigators to be careful in trying to glean guilt from body language. Different people react differently to extreme stimuli. And neurodivergent people exist, further complicating matters.

@zachanikwano Not true. I remember seeing part of this interview on the 5 o'clock news in August of 2018. I was in a hotel lobby while my friend was checking us in. This segment came on. My other friend was on the lobby couch with me. After this interview ended, I said "oh, he did it." And my friend agreed. Not but a few days later, we hear he was arrested and charged. I said yep, saw that one coming. Also, agent Tammy Lee immediately wanted to interrogate Chris herself after seeing this interview.
This case has just stuck with me… I don’t know what it is; Shannon’s best friend not letting her down even in death, or Chris’s just blatant nonchalantness. The detectives had to be watching that interview just feeling sick to their stomach, like his excessive blinking and begging for them to come back… I just still can’t wrap my head around this all these years later
That's what you get with parents like his! "I don't care what you did" and... 19:29 Nicole Atkinson was Shanann’s very close friend who was very concerned for her. When CW told her to get off his property instead of appreciating her concern, that was a huge warning sign that something was way off.
The way he distances himself from even saying his family’s name in that interview is terrifying, especially since they spent almost a decade together and he pursued her until she finally gave in. How could a father/husband be so cold and murder his family when HE is the one that pursued her in the first place? This is so f***ing sad.

@@melissareynolds56Why are you taking up for a cold blooded murderer? They decided to have another child together. Nico was a planned pregnancy, and he tried to kill him with oxycontin first, but when it only made Shan'ann deathly ill, but didn't kill Nico, he went for plan B, to kill them all. He didn't "snap." It was a premeditated murder. He even admitted to saying to himself that it would be the last time putting his girls to bed. He came back after they were asleep and suffocated them both, but then they, "got back up." That is why he decided to put them in the oil batteries, so they, "couldn't get back up again." If he had just snapped, don't you think he would have been horrified about trying to murder them the first time? Also, there is proof from Shan'ann's autopsy report that she had been asleep on her left side when attacked. The left side of her face was bruised from being pressed hard into a surface. She had no defense wounds which shows there was never an altercation. Shan'ann's father said she would have fought for her children's and unborn child's life. Chris lied about the altercation to make himself look better. He is a coward and has always been a coward and a pathological liar. Why people go after the victim of familicide is beyond my understanding.
What always gets me with this case is how quickly he went from affair to murder of his entire family. It makes me wonder did he always dislike his wife and children.
He most definitely have always disliked them. You can tell by the forced, awkward smiles in the family videos. It's so obviously fake. Ultimately, he would have left the family, the mistress just gave him a reason to finally leave. His codependency and mommy issues would never allow him to be single and alone. JFC for someone who "is devastated" at their disappearance he doesn't miss an opportunity to bad mouth them to anyone who'll listen. Bastard.
Don't forget her psychopathic actions with pre meditated attempted m*rder with the tree nut serving to her granddaughter. Good thing Momma bear Shanan noticed and handled it!
@@Somethingwicked1x I've not heard the prison calls with her. I watched this case when it happened and lots of the content videos on it a couple years ago but recently I'm finding I either forgot a bunch or new parts of interviews and content have come out. So I just finished watching the 4 vids Dreading put out and now listening to the prison interview the 2 detectives did a couple years ago after he was transferred from Colorado to Wisconsin.
@@9babybluThe Watts prison phone calls are here on YT. All they do is blame Shanann for his actions. This family so in denial about how sick Chris is it's not even funny.Sounds like they don't have any remorse for what Chris has done.
Holy crap I actually forgot she was pregnant the entire way thru the video until the reporter asked about the baby. He NEVER mentions it throughout those 2 longgg interviews! It's like pulling teeth for him to talk about the girls but the fact that he never even MENTIONS their unborn child is absolutely insane to me
That really rubbed me the wrong way when I first heard it too. I’ve actually heard that from people that are from the South and I don’t think they mean anything bad by it. They just mean that person’s friend and family. Still, I’m from the West Coast and it sounds rude to me still. Also, when the officer asks about who held talked to, he says he’s talked to everyone jut Nichole A. Would know more “cause she’s a woman”. Now that sh** really pushed me off. Seriously, this guy deserves to be where he is for life!!!
@@Namdrahsirhc Yeah, it could very well be a regional phrase. I'm in the Pacific NW & I believe the Watts' were from North Carolina, so it could defintely be a common turn of a phrase. Something about it just sounded disjointed to me. I'm full-blooded NA, so if someone referred to "my people", it could have a completely different connotation than what is implied here. Thanks!
This caught him off guard. He really thought he had it all planned out thinking he was gonna get away with it. Her friend is the reason she got quick justice and I know he was in his head like, I wish she leave...he didn't know her friend was going to b aware of something fishy.
There are plenty of content creators who do quick covers of crimes. Many of us appreciate longer and in depth coverage with as much info and detail as possible. Thank you for doing these deep dives!
Chris' mom is just awful. Who talks so ill of the dead and the mother of your grandchildren?? Chris Coleman's parents were just as bad. These parents are creating these spoiled selfish brats who lash out when they don't get their way 🙄
She’s a nightmare. Just as selfish as her loser son. she worries how *she* will get thru this. no she is just worried how she will have a day to day public life with literally anyone with a brain not wanting to spend a second with her.
Im a child care worker. When i think about how much anger and force is needed to annihilate your children it makes my stomach turn. Children are so frail but trust me they can be insanely strong especially if ur trying to snatch a toy or something from their grips. I cannot fathom taking a life let alone the life of a little one and even more so...my own child. It takes a true evilness. Even in the comment i cant put to words the disgust, anger, sadness and loss i feel for this family. To think not only shanann but also those little girls LOVED chris so much. How can you take their lives?! With ur bare hands?! Ugh this case never fails to make me cry
Ugh, hearing Chris talk about his daughters and feign concern is SO awful and the way his mom acts like the sun shines out of Chris’ ass is so grotesque. Horrible man brought up by a horrible mother.
@@rogerbrown8866she says she won’t believe it until he tells her. But why would he break her delusion?! He’s spineless and heartless but still has the love and acceptance of his family. 🤦♀️ It’s like they don’t care he killed his whole family.
I remember once in elementary school, I was up reading, waiting for my mom to come home from work. There was a huge snowstorm that night, and it was about an hour after she was supposed to be home. The dread and terror I felt at 12ish years old… Few things in my life have made me that distraught. I was crying and heaving inconsolably until my dad came in to my room to ask what was wrong. She had called the home phone (I didn’t know) to say that she was snowed in and would come in the morning. My family didn’t have cells back then. That was after an hour of not knowing what had happened to my mom. This guy is… wow. This case is tragic, and a fascinating case study in hubris and stupidity. Life is precious. This guy never saw it that way.
The length and depth of your content is why I come to this channel. Like many comments have said already, 20min half baked videos are a dime a dozen. This channel is among the best true crime channels RU-vid has to offer. You and your team are truly doing these stories the justice they deserve🙏❤️
Absolutely! People give “nosy neighbors” a bad rap. It truly was one of the most concrete parts of the case that led to Chris being caught. Crazy stuff.
Her friend Nicole & neighbour nate sealed his fate the same day ..dropped it on his rotten toes . He thought he could just go about his day after murdering his family that morning ! Don't think so rat ! ..he was caught quickly as his lies & story was so pathetic haha soon wiped that creepy smirk away !
What's insane is that if she didn't have a friend like Nicole, someone she had plans with, He may very well have gotten away with it or at the least gotten a significant head start. The credit of solving this case needs to 100% go to Nicole. It would have been terrible to have another Susan Powell situation where nobody was ever found. I think we all need to learn a lesson from this and make sure that at least one person outside of our significant other knows what our plans are for the day. You never know who might need their own Nicole.
Yes!! And he had no history of violence or anything like this. It's why people are so shocked and obsessed with the case. Nothing in his past hinted at this kind of hideous violence.
No way he was getting away with this even without nicole. The cops might have taken longer to get to him but no way are you just getting rid of 4 people as a layman like chris. He doesn’t have the experience or expertise to get away with something like this and he left a ton of clues behind like his phone gps being with him only burying shannan in a shallow 2 foot grave. having a mistress and the significant other is always who police look at first.
No way. Considering her own family, her work friends, and all her social content and followers. She was so connected, someone would’ve realized that day no doubt.
I love how the narrator tells the story, depicts the psychology in an easy to understand narrative... and then drops f bombs when the emotion of the story gets to him !! Epic !!
Please for the love of God do NOT change a thing about your videos. The only reason people may have complained about the last series length is because Ezra is the most obnoxious person on earth. I even struggled through parts. But im never happy to see any of my favorite channels, of which you're #1, upload something under an hour. Gimme all you got. Im fucking Here. For. It. And especially with this case. Youre perfect. Never change.
The real reason Chris was going absolutely nuts on camera was not just because he’s seen loading something in his car but his daughters were alive when they got in the car. He thought you’d see them very easily but we didn’t. The report from the FBI was just released recently was that the car records prove that the two seat belts were used in the back seat on the way to Cervi 319. That could only indicate the girls were alive and he thought it was easy to see them all in the footage. But this is one of the greatest moments captured on camera ever.
The first time I saw the video of Chris at his neighbors house with a police officer and the neighbor starts playing his security camera video, the look of horror on his face and the deer in the headlights , he had no clue that even existed until he was watching it with the police !!
48:12 "simply saying you were sad and that this event has been traumatizing, doesn't work if you have the personality & emotional range as PLANK from Ed, Edd, & Eddie" Thank you for that much needed moment of levity in such a horrendous case. Love your content!!!
Your videos are incredible, I love that you make longer videos because it makes the cases and info way more transparent. I’d easily watch an 8+ hour video. Thank you for all you do and all the care you put into every video. 🖤
100% agree with every word. I hate when I see comments on true crime videos from ppl saying 'thanks for cutting to the chace" it's so disrespectful and ignorant imo
Anytime someone asks me a question i don't want to answer i say "i have no inclination on how to answer your question....i just want everyone to be safe". 😅
What really gets me is imagining the thoughts he was having while he was taking care of/playing his family while they were alive. He had to have always hated them. Always putting on an act
To be honest I find the wife to be a very unlikable victim- she was a mommy blogger selling predatory products- if he had just straight up said “she left because I was done with the mommy blog bullshit and I started dating another woman “ he would not have be very likable but VERY believable
@@blahblah-hz8ey That's because you're stereotyping mommy bloggers lmao. They were strapped for cash, she was struggling to find a position for a job that allowed her to stay home with the kids, tend to the home and have workable hours with her autoimmune diseases. MLM was absolutely perfect because she had a ton of connections, was pretty and was very likeable with a beautiful family. It was a near perfect job for her and their situation. Nearly all of sales is upselling cheap products that may or may not work for you and we don't villify all salespeople. Idek what the purpose of your comment is.
I don't think he felt that way towards the kids. The most likely scenario is that he killed Shannan in a fit of anger and resentment during their argument that night, and then he realized that no one would believe the story that she left without taking the kids with her. The only snowball's chance he had of getting away with it required them to disappear with her. Given how stupid he is and how he had to take the kids with him to the dump site either way, it wouldn't surprise me if that occurred to him during the drive and he made the decision to kill them long after leaving the house with Shannan's body.
It’s wild that people could request shortening the video especially for this channel. The reason I watch this channel is for the whole story so please keep doing what you do.
I love the longer videos too. However? I don’t think it’s wild people want shorter videos. We are all different. Doesn’t make either of us right or wrong.
Guys, please do not change the format of your videos. You’re the only true crime channel I watch because of how candid and detailed you are, plus the long videos are great for me when I’m working through long assignments. I really appreciate and enjoy what you guys do
Those newscasters asking him questions start to quickly realize that they’re more than likely talking to the person who caused Shannan & the girls’ disappearance. You can almost hear the tone shift, when they pick up on how emotionless he is in general and how weird his responses are for a husband who’s searching for his ENTIRE family…
What actually happened was that the reporters were advised beforehand by police/detectives that he could be a suspect and so to ask probing questions such as his whereabouts and what he thinks happened.. which could be used against him later.
@@tqsuited when were they advised of this? Because typically, media personnel have a hard time keeping loose lips shut, and I have a hard time believing police and detectives would’ve outright told the media that the person they’re interviewing is a potential suspect. I do believe it was all a very clever move on behalf of the investigators and the media. But, I think if anything, it became CLEARLY EVIDENT to the media and news outlets, that a man who’s supposedly using the media to try and find his missing family, has absolutely no emotion behind it and that was a major red flag. I also think at this point in society, most people know that the media interviews are a tell-tale sign in a lot of homicide cases. For some dumb reason, these monsters just absolutely love getting in front of a camera and making an ass of themselves! How many cases have we seen where the murderer showed up to a candle light vigil, or gave an innocent interview with a newscaster begging for the missing person to return. Either way, it’s all very sad, and we’re so lucky that the media took the opportunity to NAIL Chris right where he stood!
@@hellraisincraisin Well I'm not sure exactly what was said, but basically to the effect of advising which questions to ask.. Law enforcement were already suspicious obviously. Maybe they didn't tell reporters outright hey this guy could be responsible.. but just saying it's an early investigation and no suspects have been eliminated, including him.. so these questions could be helpful for us.
You know why long videos are important? Because it gives time and consideration to the victims who often get lost in the case and also allows us to affix our eyes and our scorn upon the pepetrator. Don't ever apologise. This case, any case, cannot be given the justice it deserves in eleven minutes.
Thank you. It blows my mind that people are asking for him to *condense* cases into more readily breezed through pieces, when the videos he creates are going over the cases of victims who deserve to have their story told with consideration, care and time - some of whom won't have the ability to speak for themselves, and others whom are actively in danger and have far better odds of returning when there is greater coverage, as well as thoroughly available information which could be key to assisting in searches, etc. True Crime is *not* the place for glossing over and shortening details; At the least, on a True Crime channel that *doesn't do so* is not the place to try and morph content into a short-form style. We *need* channels that don't do that, and there are many that do, if long videos aren't what you're looking for. There's no need to take one channel and turn it into what you want, when there are other channels to make do with. Especially if what you want is shorter videos with less thorough coverage and careful time given to *actual, real life stories of people who have either passed or in need of help, and their loved ones who want justice.*
I love my kids, but if one of my children even committed such a heinous crime, I wouldn’t back them or make excuses, I would still love them, but wouldn’t make excuses …. If my kids were missing I would need to be medicated.
Fuck, as a Father this is so unimaginably sad. I cuddled my wife and girls as soon as I finished this video and told them I love them. Absolutely shocking. Probably the peak of human crime.
People who do this are MORE than murderers, they are ungrateful bastards for what they have and have lived sheltered, privileged lives. This monster was living a life I know many people would kill for, and just look at how casually he has destroyed what someone else would treasure. As someone who has lost everything this man has thrown away, it honestly makes me sick.
He’s empty. In most videos: Shannan’s, on tv when they were missing, body cam, and police interrogations - he’s void of normal human emotion. Just a shell of a human.
He’s comically bad at lying. Like to the point if I was him I would actively avoid doing crimes or any sort of suspicious behavior because what’s the point? The guy can’t keep a single story straight he can’t act not guilty for a single second. Thankfully Nicole acted and got his ass off guard before he could cobble together whatever weak and unconvincing story he was planning on cooking up. Regardless, he would have never gotten away with it. Like the true, unbridled fucking idiot Chris is he decided to use his work truck to transport the body of Shanaan to the very place he buried her. Truly just idiotic.
I just found your channel today, I love your content and depth of research. I've watched many documentaries about this case, and yours is by far the most indepth and interesting. The plank/ed edd and eddie reference made me spit out my coffee. My heart goes out to Shanann's family and friends.
The fact that the 2nd daughter looked at her father who she had always seen as her protector and said to him 'are you going to do the same to me?" and he said yes, is just unfathomable what the child was going through having witnessed the murder of her sister right in front of her and knowing the same pain is about to be inflicted on her. I have to really not think about it as when I first heard it on Dateline. This was before even listening to the fact that he dumped their bodies in the oil drum. Since I am a father of two little children, I had tears roll down by the thought of what those two children (and their mother) had to suffer through.
Whether he was going to or not stage an accident out at the wells it was all getting out of debt and being with his gf..... I always thought he was thought hiding more information to protect his family his mom an dad... Out in the desert during a get away with his gf he admits to being introduced to some very shady character friends of his gf who had brought guns with them.... How the gf was not arrested an given immunity along with changing her name is crazy.... There is more to his story than he is telling.... And lastly after he admits to LE and his father what he had done he is given a pizza pie that he eats like he is at his kitchen table
