My mom is in her 60s. She still vividly remembers being told her mother’s miscarriage was her fault when she was 2-3 years old, and she becomes a bit childlike when she speaks about that memory, quietly weeping, because 60+ years later... my mom - former little girl - still believes her mom’s miscarriage was her fault because she was a troublesome toddler. Families in general are sick, but family vloggers profit from that sickness.

Sis vs Bro is a perfect example of this. All the channel would do is pit these two siblings against each other in trendy internet challenges at a table in front of a camera. I'm imagining in the coming years where the kids of these family vlogging channels, the moment they hit 18 or the age where they can get legal representation to sue their parents for profiting off their vulnerable years, ranging from naked baby pictures, to emotional trauma for views, or (god forbid if this actually happened) was adopted into a household for the clear intention of collecting views and discarded on clear proof that you were no longer wanted. And if any of those parents fight the grievances of their kids on something like "You were my property/creation, I can do whatever I want with you." Or use freedom of speech to justify their actions... It would probably take a supreme court case for the US judicial system to seriously revisit child protection industry laws to extend it to viral media that the internet uses. Because if enough people saying "this is wrong, seriously stop doing this." isn't enough to make adult realize this, maybe the firm of the law is the only way to protect children. Though I could be wrong, I'm just speculating.

can I just say, I really like how you do your research before you make your videos. I don't usually see that in most places anymore; I'm glad to see a channel that brings research to back up it's thesis. When a channel does that, it eliminates the meaning of debating those proofs. The only way the audience can refute your thesis is to find holes, in which is the most modest way of tackling that situation. Just, thank you for the proof to backup your theses in these types of videos. I just love seeing channels do that.
