When I look back, I see a very reserved, very underconfident, and very stressed girl who didn't know how to raise her voice for herself. her deeds and doings were all controlled. and I don't blame anyone for it because I thought it was okay for others to tell me how to live my life. the remote was in my hand, but the controls were done by others. but it was okay for me because that’s what my culture taught me. So it was my duty to fulfill those.
Thank God, gone are those stressful days which went even more stressful during the transition from that underconfident to an “ I dont care attitude’ one. but saying this, let me be clear, I didn't care about anything because I knew I was doing right. As far as you know something’s not right with you, speak up or move away from it. you don't have to stay in a state of toxicity. The sad part is I still see a lot of women supporting such toxicity even though they are suffering from it which they don't realize.
anyways, this topic is something I can go on and on and on.
So all I want to say is, stay happy and be happy for yourself which indirectly keeps others happy. You are not selfish about it.
