There should be no monetary payouts in this lawsuit only an order to fix the children's services department and maybe a fine on the people running the department. Hopefully, they fired the employee who was at the scene.

It's good they sue DCFS because they don't do a good job in investigating or taking the right action when they see red flags. I wish she would have loved her son enough to report herself about her addiction and sought temporary foster parents while she treated her addiction.

There’s a LOT more names to add to that list! Not just in Lancaster but they are quick to remove kids who have parents that are just struggling and need help with child care or food security or even domestic abuse prevention programs. Shaking my head 😢
