True! I watched "Walk Hard" without seeing "Walk the Line" first, and I'm convinced it was funnier that way. (This did have the side effect of making "Walk the Line" basically unwatchable, because I kept thinking "Oh OK, they're doing a serious version of a scene from Walk Hard"). The other example is "Airplane"--- which of course is an (almost) scene-by-scene parody of "Zero Hour". Very few modern viewers have ever seen "Zero Hour".
@@huntercoleman460 Technically the Doom clip isn't animated either, unless you just mean in general, since that's literally just Stewie dropped on top of gameplay footage lol.
The who thing Parodies the original The Naked Gun movie intro- got Wizard of Oz, Ben Hur, The Shining, Doom, The Empire Strikes Back, Sound of Music, and The Simpsons Intro. in that order.
The entire intro was a refrence to the opening of police squad, you should watch I if you can find it anywhere, it was hilarious. Only got 6 episodes though
@@The_Dying_RoseI'm not sure if it's more of a reference to that or the naked gun movies, because it could be referencing the first one (police squad) or the way the naked gun has it which is very similar to this intro specifically.
Not just that, the doom footatge is literally a gameplay demo that autoplays if you stay afk in doom1/ultimate dooms menu. You can literally easily rip it from the root folders. Not to imply the people working on family guy would be lazy or anything...
Now that you mention it, I remember watching my uncle play Doom 1 many years ago. The invisible pinkies scared the heck out of me and made me afraid of walking in the dark.
I remember when my father showed me Doom 2016 and my dumbass thought it was a horror game, I got spooked by the “zombie getting his head smashed against the sarcophagus” and lost interest 😂 played it 2 or so years later.
The Doom nerd in me finds it hilarious that even though Doom uses royalty free stock sound effects, they still changed the sound effects for the Doom part 😂
Still fascinates me to this day how much of Doom's assets and everything are usually stocks and reused stuff. Limitation at the video game industry at the time fascinates me.
CHOOSE YOUR ADVENTURE 0:04 THE TOWN 0:12 THE WIZARD OF OZ 0:15 CHARIOTS 0:18 THE SHINING 0:22 DOOM 0:29 STAR WARS 0:33 THE SOUND OF MUSIC 0:37 HOME (defeat homer simpson) 0:40 YOU WIN!!!
They should have added the chainsaw flesh ripping sound effect when Stewie hit the imp, and made the imp jerk around spraying blood before dying! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0mb_VYogMz4.htmlsi=pN9SaHlFY_AbsKlW
Funniest shit I've ever seen Falls off a mountain while screaming, lands perfectly on his trycicle and proceeds to do the entirety of entertainment media in one go.
Haha.. yep.. you totally just.. said what happened. that does not deserve this number of likes. saying "lol cryingemoji cryingemoji" shouldn't deserve this kinda shit.
They really missed the opportunity to reference this in the Simpsons crossover, like: Peter: Hey, you're the guy that Stewie ran off a few years ago, aren't you?
@@EvilMariobot Regardless of the timeframe, they could have mentioned it. Does not even need to say any time. Could just be "Hey, you're that guy Stewie ran over! What the hell were you doing in my garage?"
I feel like the Empire Strikes Back segment pitch started with someone suggesting the Death Star trench; but then someone remembered they actually did that in the third movie.
Something I just learned is that they did actually use a clip of Star Wars in the naked gun trilogy. It was in the third movie but the only difference was that they used the Death Star scene.
I love how for the entire intro Stewie is rolling on his Bigwheel, then the last 2 parts with Star Wars and the woman, hes just straight up fucking flying around lmao
