@@efcamb We got our fair share of problems here my friend. Trust me, economic issues, political corruption, a dark history of human rights issues and much more. The only difference is that the spotlight isn't on us so you don't get to see it.
As a Mexican, I love that family guy portrays the national anthem as "la cucaracha" hahahaha EDIT: thanks for the likes, lads. You may find interesting a little bit of history and context of the song. The melody is old as dirt, it's traced to the catholics vs muslims/jews wars of 1400's in the south of Spain. Probably it made its way to México with the generations of Spanish settlers. During the XXth century it was popularized by the Pancho Villa rebels during the armed conflict of the Mexican revolution (1910-1917); there are many versions, either funny ones or with a political message. A translated fragment of the most popular version is as follows: "The cockroach, the cockroach, can't walk anymore, because it lacks its main legs/ The cockroach the cockroach, can't walk anymore, because it doesn't have marihuana to smoke". My parents tell me that during the 70's it was common to listen to horns with the melody in México, now its not used anymore. I think nowdays it's more usual to find Mexican origin people in the US that still use it... About curling... what the hell is that?? Big ass marbles with a broom?? haha. It looks fun, though!
@@shawnanderson6313 I was working there during Super Bowl 52. Stayed at a hotel in Eagan but spent most time downtown at/around the Convention Centre. It’s a pretty nice place. I found it to be far more expensive than other states I visit often like Ohio and Indiana.
@@F1zzzy90 As a Canadian, I always imagined I'd just give up and cry if I ever got serioisly injured alone in my house if I were in the USA. 700-1000 seems so unfathomable.
“I just came from AA eh” “I think he’s just a drunk.” That’s like a double joke right there. Edit: I'll just call it a funny joke and not a double joke.
@Advay Phadke that’s still one joke dude, AA standing for alcoholics anonymous isnt a joke in and of itself, its the canadian mistaking the latter for the former
To be honest, in the part of Canada I am from, if we seen a plane crash we would be more likely to hop in our trucks and bring a case of beer and some wieners and roast hot dogs over the flames. After we helped any survivors of course.
“Hey Stewie, Why’d we take his leg?” “Well we’re in there country Brian have to observe there customs” *drops the leg on accident* 🦵🏻 “Welp atleast we’re done with the first leg of our trip”
I mean they technically don’t, but ever since the “cartoon wars” between family guy Simpsons and South Park they constantly take jabs at each other. For years Simpsons and family guy constantly took jabs at each other and then South Park got involved made a whole episode dissing family guy and Matt stone and trey Parker went on the record saying how the dislike family guy and Seth McFarlane’s style of comedy. And then the the creators of the Simpsons sent flowers the Matt stone and trey, and it was just a big ordeal lol. But you can’t really say that that South Park and family guy co exist only because in the episode of South Park making fun of family guy, family guy is still just a “stupid cartoon” in their world. the characters of South Park and family guy didn’t meet, but I guess you could say Simpsons and family guy do co exist bc of the cross over episode. But by that logic of the comment, that would mean Rick and Morty, futurama, king of the hill, and bobs burgers also exist together in the same world. Which isn’t correct because the these are really cameos and references. Yes the shows knowledge each other’s existence but that’s about it. Would you consider adventure time being in the same universe as futurama bc bender ran into Finn and jake in a dungeon? nah that was just reference of jake the dog and bender having the same voice actor. I like to believe all the fox shows do exist together, but it’s all just interpretation LOL
@@announcerspeakerboxbfdi4966 the show has so many contradictions about where Springfield is based that it’s impossible to determine what state they’re in. Also Matt Groening’s hometown is Springfield, Oregon, not California
I can confirm this!! I love in Montreal and it’s pretty much the only place i know where you can touch the dancer. They do have rules though brake em and the bouncer will throw you out .
Been to Montana and North Dakota and it is literally no different than Saskatchewan, Alberta, or Manitoba. Even our accents are pretty much the exact same. Same climate, lots of wheat and cattle farming and oil wells. Doesn’t just magically end at the 49th parallel.
I'm Canadian and I'm deeply offended by the implication that Canadian Geese are polite. They will demand a fight to the death if you so much as look in their general direction.
I could care less really but I didn’t find it hilarious. Kind of funny I guess. Little disappointed that Mexico beat us in curling though. That’s like having Brazil beating us in hockey or Libya beating us in downhill skiing lol.
Last time I went to Canada, I drove up to Winnepeg after visiting relatives in Wisconsin and Minnesota. As I do every time I've driven into Canada as soon as I cross the border, I tune in a Canadian station. I didn't realize how many Francophones lived in southern Manitoba until the only thing I could find to listen to was a Blue Jays game-in French. Unfortunately, I have a "get me through an airport" knowledge of the language, so it was kind of hard to follow.
Most Canadians are required to study French up to a point and instead of getting through an airport quality leave with how to find the nearest discotheque and a vague feeling of lingering resentment instead so I think you're alright. It was a Blue jays game in true Toronto fashion they would lure you into thinking they might win and then spectacularly choke... or is that the Leafs, ah whichever.
They are the best, in Vancouver they had a Nudie Bar in the Hotel, The Red Lion and it was a really nice Hotel, which surprised me. This was in the 90's, so I don't know if it's still there?
Canadian: You have cash, eh? (cachet) Stewie: Well I don't know, my name carries a little weight, but I don't see how that matters here. 😂😂😂 Brilliant!!!
Epic! Im also a Canadian and its a pretty damn close comparison to some parts of our big ass country! The politeness is almost bang on and Quagmire is absolutely correct about the Montreal nudie bars too by far the best in the world
1:07 - the Canadian guy says "cash, eh?" - Stewie heard "cachet" which means "the state of being respected or admired; prestige" (non-native speaker here - first time coming across this word)
as a canadian, i would like to just say about quadmires song, *it all depends on the club you go to* also girls are more likley to let you go further the bigger your tip, just dont give your tip, learned the hard way with that one ... 😂😂😂
@@ibraveheart5700 Same here I don't really have much of an accent, its more just weird dialect, like "whats the weather saying today?" Or other odd shit like that
@@deckermunroe7547 I'm from northern Nova Scotia, lately I've been chatting with people from around London Ontario, and they really have the canadian accent hahaha, I find the N.S. kinda has it, but out west I notice it way more personally.
I’m Canadian and I think the stereotypical accent is mostly from the Maritime Provinces, such as Newfoundland. I also really like most of the Canadian stereotypes I’ve seen/heard, as almost none of the ones I know about are negative.
...no one in the Maritimes sounds like that. That is an Ottawa Valley accent. I am told I am from Ireland or Scotland by anyone who doesn't know I am from Nova Scotia. But ya most of the stereotypes are pretty spot on.
@@Reddog794 Ah. I haven't actually been to Ottawa or the Maritimes, except for landing in Toronto once to catch a connecting flight somewhere else. Evidently, I have the accents of different regions of Canada mixed up. Out of curiosity, what do people from Alberta and Saskatchewan sound like to people from Nova Scotia?
@@Ben_Kimber There is a general 'drawl' I find more pronounced in the guys from Sask I worked with, where the Alb is more 'Canadiana' from the city folks, and the rural tend to be of the Western. Lol the influx of Newfoundlanders, and Maritimers has very much shifted the voices you hear in Ft.McM, and Calgary. You should when the restrictions drop, if you are from Alberta, high odds you have family in the Maritimes. And just for your safety when you get here, Eastern Canada stops at Quebec ;)
@@Reddog794 I guess I never really paid much attention to the difference in accents between Alberta and Saskatchewan. I was asking about those two because I live in Alberta and my family has a cabin in Saskatchewan, so I've spent far more time in those two than any other province. Also, I sort of think I get what you meant by that last sentence, but just in case, could you clarify? XD
The best part is that assumes the bullies didn't and yet they still knew what matriculated meant and used it in conversation. So that joke also praises the Canadian education system low key.
0:10 i never understand why americans dont still just call it grade 9, 10, 11 and 12? You call it grade 1 to 8, and then suddenly switch it to "freshman". Even in university here in Canada, we still just call it "first year" or "second year"
