Well, the real question is, in this alternate universe where family guy occurs, why is there even an animal shelter? They established cats can talk too, so it seems the animal pound is some sort of dystopian nightmare if it exists at all.
@@cyclops8238 no, he isnt. the has a wife whom is also a big chicken, and its obvious from the episodes where fighting happens that its an actual chicken. not sure why a chicken suit would bleed or have chunks of flesh otherwise
@@jroxpone I guess I'm just remembering things wrong cuz I could have swore that the whole chicken fight was started because Peter got an expired coupon from a guy advertising in a chicken suit.
To be fair he just said he's been talking to all the dogs and Brain is the only one who responded. So it's fair to assume brian and his brother are special case especially when we find out he has 6 other siblings we never met.
Why aren’t more people like this?!?! Off the top of my head I can recall 4 dogs, a sheep, a cow, a dolphin and a monkey that just talk in this show with no reason behind it. (Keep in mind I’m going with ones that aren’t running gags or one off jokes, genuine characters that were on this show for at least an episode and played some role)
@@whinottoonish *canon Nobody's blowing anything up. Also, wtf kind of explanation was that? Lmao. Its "live action in the show? Wuh?? It's drawings, boyo!
@@whinottoonish the monkey talking (the monkey being the one in chris' closet) and the dolphin (the one that brought back peter's hood ornament) were both one off's. we don't see either of these characters ever again, and even if the monkey was an old, frequent running gag of the show, he only talked for one episode where he reveals to everyone that he was always a nice person with some sort of selective mutism.
@@crussteasock4047 it’s actually a pretty solid explanation. They’ve done many episodes in the last couple years that state it’s a live action show in their world. There’s actually been 2 episodes entirely dedicated to that idea.
@@Clear-Skies-Ahead Yeah this is Brian's whole backstory besides we don't see who he gets adopted by as a puppy the first time in the flashback of him his brothers and sisters and his mom so the Hendersons are the ones who do before Peter and his family do.
changing Brian's backstory again?? remember the pictures of puppy Brian with the griffins that Brian showed the family when they got a new dog (not Vinny)? edit: I love discussing Family Guy lore in the youtube comments section
Well they said i nthe office they're struggling to get excited over something and pretty much wrung dry so I guess they had to throw out a few things (again) just to make an episode happen
To everyone that's complaining and pointing out how this has happened before: Seth MacFarlane doesn't care about continuity, and he clearly doesn't have to. His shows get watched no matter what.
I think that’s one of the problems with Modern Family Guy, there’s little care for continuity nowadays. Like I guess it was sorta like that b4, but not to this extent Tho I suppose when a show has gone on so long to the point that the creator himself just wants the show to die at this point, some things will naturally decay over time.
Seth MacFarlane doesn’t run family guy anymore the shows had a different show runner for eight years now he just provides voices and collect the paycheck
There’s that episode where Stewie puts Brian, Peter, Quagmire, and Joe to “sleep”, and have them wake up in a reality where it’s just those 4, and they don’t know who they are or how they got there. When Brian says to look at his dog tags for a name or address, or some kind of clue. Quagmire or Joe look at his tags and it says “CREMATE. DON’T BURY”. Brian replies, “that’s a downer”.🤣🤣
Ok I'll say it. This episode didn't change Brian's backstory at all. In fact it possibly filled in the blanks. It doesn't change the fact he was born on a farm and adopted by SOMEONE. It doesn't change the fact brian ended up as a stray and lived with George-T on the street. And it doesn't change how Peter found him since brian even mentioned it himself.
That some dogs can talk I think is one of the best things that this universe has. Cool stuff that stands in stark contrast to the dozens of hugely bad things it also has. But for these kinds of little things I think I'd agree to go on a one-way trip to that universe.
