@@roadwarrior144 when Panama was recorded, Eddie Van Halen ran the microphone outside of the studio and recored the engine sounds of his Lamborghini to use in the song. That's what you hear in the bridge.
Of all the transformations and character changes in the show, I always found Joes change from the well respected, super admired amazing at his job cop, to the burdensome, boring, weird, punching bag whos wife hates him
A morning at the police station… inside, Joe starts by laying down on the floor and rolling side to side in the captain’s office… it is the one that hasn’t been remodeled since the 70s and has the orange shag carpeting, it feels good to Joe with the shag rubbing Joe’s back…. After that Joe plays with a ball from evidence room for about twenty minutes then finds a window on the east side of the building where there is a lot of sun and he takes a nap on the floor where the direct sunlight warms him up….after a long nap Joe goes into the bathroom where he shits in a box then tracks the litter halfway through the building before stopping in the chief’s office where he gets yelled at for coughing a hairball up on the floor….. eventually he finds his way into the dispatching office where he lays his head in the lap of his favorite dispatcher and she rubs behind his ears as she answers the phones…… Joe is definitely an inside cop…..
"Panama" is indeed awesome, but apparently Peter was awesome enough to pause the song on the "now" and harness that awesomeness to propel his car across the canyon.
Shame Sally Fields wasn't in on the ride. I don't know if it would be better or worse. She could say 'We just "Panama'd" that canyon! I want to "Panama" a house! I want to "Panama" something!'. But she could also have said 'I wanna "Jump" a house' etc, etc, and that would murder Panama right there and then.

@@depression666 Let me guess, you listen to Limp Bizkit. Panama is an awesome song. Though certainly not their best. And Van Halen isn't even close to being the best band around. But they've managed to have some pretty good radio hits. I listen to modern rock radio today and it's just forgettable tunes that don't have the balls to be edgy anymore.
It is, but I have to slow down a bit when, ‘I can barely see the road from the heat coming off it, I say I reach down between my legs and Ease the seat back.’
@@pilot.wav_theory modern family guy has mostly just gotten...darker? like lost some of that "playful pain". though i havent watched the simpsons yet. could u enlighten me
@@kaiseremotion854 the newer simpsons is more careless and unfunny than the classic simpsons. If i had to choose wich one is worse i would say family guy
@@bimoprasetyo6862 Look for the letter F on the keyboard. Now, look for the G on the keyboard. You see how they are directly next to each other? That’s probably enough sufficient evidence for most people to conclude that the word “grom” is indeed a typo of the word “from.” This fact should be self-explanatory
Nah bro have you seen the episode when they make fun of the French ambulance 🚑? Sounds like two gay dudes . Bro me and my girl almost pee’d on ourselves we just got back from Paris. That’s probably the best.

When I was a teenager I was pretty reckless and I had this old 1990's Buick 4-door that I was messing with and sometimes I'd go race it in downtown St Louis and sometimes I won most times I lost but I'll never forget racing at 3 a.m. past Uncle Bill's with a bunch of my goth club friends and smoking a Dodge Challenger with my Buick to this song. Rest in peace Eddie. We all miss you
Cars making a jump over cliffs never make sense to me in movies or shows. Like where's the ramp? How can you get air to clear the landing especially when the other side is at the same height level?
Easy……. You’ll always notice that the other side of any river, gorge, creek or canyon…..is always at a lower height…. And the height difference depends on speed, angle and the hypotenuse of the derivative and of course.,,… the depth of the driver side cup holder….
Family guy is like a 40 year old left handed pitcher. It may not have the mustard on its fastball like it used to, but it can still rear back and deliver a great one like this. Still good
Combine euro beat and a gulf oil paint job and you can have the ultimate racecar no matter what car it is got a 65 bone stock Volkswagen Beetle wrap it and play some Euro beat and boom you have a car that can beat an Aston Martin Valkery

This episode ("Coma Guy") was from last year. The plot centers around Peter admitting that he has never read a book in his life. Lois forces Peter to go to the library to check out Orwell's 1984 - but Peter gets confused and gets Van Halen's 1984 album. (He becomes obsessed and starts wearing David Lee Roth spandex costumes). This scene starts with the Giant Chicken challenging him to a drag race - Peter plays Panama and the rest is history
American Dad had Stan and Francine riding their bikes to while the song "Thunder in your Heart" is playing the background. Family Guy has Peter driving his car while blasting the song "Panama" from his radio.
Another good one is where Cleveland leaves “Cleveland show” but sends one of those voice cards to Peter and he gets pulled over and you hear the entire interaction on the bday card lol
The animation is so good. The almost unnoticeable front end lift on the wagon when he hits the gas, so slight most people probably missed it. Driving over the leaves so they kick up which I bet is an homage to Keaton Batman when the Batmobile drives over the leaves at dusk and they fly up behind him (because that’s what I always think of) and the buttery smoothness of the scenery going by. So good.
There are two types of people in the comments: 1) Older folks talking about the greatness of this song from Eddie Van Halen. 2) Younger folks talking about the greatness of this song from Gran Turismo 4.
“Suspect is head towards Unjumpable Canyon! It’s totally unjumpable!” That part sounded something out of an 80s Saturday Morning Children’s Cartoon, ngl..
My first time hearing this song as a kid was playing Gran Turismo 3, it was one of my favorite songs in that game. Now every time I hear it I think of that amazing game.
