This joke nailed everything that "World's Wildest Police Videos" did, the way that the video was described, the way that the culprit would do something like turning this way or that during the chase. But the inflection used for "the DINOSAUR..." was exactly the same as when a culprit would do something such as getting out of their car and demanding to be shot. Which made this a perfect joke that will never get old.
At first, I was debating if John Bunnell's commentary was lifted from an actual episode of the Worlds Wildest Police Chases. That is until he said "The Dinosaur poked his head out of the back seat". It's impressive they got him to do this and it was played out so well
They should do a full episode based on this. Imagine chasing down the Jetsons, Tom & Jerry...heck, even Rocky and Bullwinkle. And having John Bunnell narrate again? Priceless. "Moose and squirrel? Ball and chain!"
This drunk driver just attempted to run over a yellow troll who jumped out of the way just in time. The 3 music playing bugs weren’t so lucky. The driver totals the car and yells “Backpack” no doubt hoping to get something she can use to get away, but the officers have more than enough time to stop her. Dora no exploring, Dora no exploring, Dora NO EXPLORING!
Say what you want about Quagmire, but at least the guy was humble enough to have a TV out conveniently so that patrons can watch and see the various video tapes if they work or not.
Good. Might teach him a lesson. Jail obviously rarely does any great wonders to make a person live by the rules. Guy risks the lives of everyone out on the road, and all the officers chasing him (plus the small kids in the car) (and makes the cops day a pain in the ass because they have to chase him down), I say he deserves a few bruises when he gets hauled to the station.
Amazingly, this drunk driver turns left into oncoming traffic, he narrowly misses hitting a pedestrian who jumps out of the way just in time. Now the driver can add attempted battery to the charges. The driver turns right into the parking lot of a drive-in movie theater. At this point, the dinosaur in the backseat pokes his head up through the roof and the driver places two small children on top of it. Now he's not only endangering his own life, but their lives as well. The driver totals the car and makes a run for it, but the pursuing officers are prepared. Running from the cops? YABBA DABBA DON'T!
I think Seth McFarlane had a conversation with John Bunnell saying if he could do his action voice for this scene just like in World's Wildest Police Videos.
There's really only one voice that could do a police chase video and it's John Bunnell. I think most of the time the real people like Bunnell appreciate and admire the creativity of a guy like Seth and are honored if they are asked to be a part of the show. Especially if it's to play a character based on their own likeness.
This right here is what i miss about old Family Guy. they were genuinely creative back in their hayday and these first 8 or so sessons provided us some if the funniest and most memorable cutaways and episodes out there
BREAKING NEWS: Famous cartoon character sentenced to life in prison “The Flintstones” character Fred Flintstone was arrested earlier today after a car chase. He is charged with attempted battery, evading and resisting arrest, and child endangerment. Flintstone is sentenced to life in prison.
Years later this scene still makes me bust my gut laughing. I only pause when i think that poor old Fred will get the death penalty by lethal injection for killing off Pebbles and Bam-Bam......
"This suspicious van full of teenagers has attracted police attention - and not for its outdated paint job. They failed to obey a stop sign, putting their fellow motorists in _grave_ danger. The officer turns on his lights, signaling the driver to pull over immediately. But the driver only increases his speed. Perhaps his ascot makes him feel too privileged to comply. But you won't believe what happens next! Old man Henderson, dressed as a wolf-man, pushes a freshly cut tree in front of the van, causing it to blow a tire and forcing it to a stop. The officer orders the teens out, and clouds of smoke billow from the open doors. This gives the officer probable cause, and a search of the vehicle reveals enough marijuana joints to merit felony possession charges for these meddling kids, and their dog, too. Now they're all Scooby dooby doing _hard time_
Always used to watch Worlds Wildesr Police Videos and really liked the narration done by John Bunnell. His voice truly sold this scene and I'm glad they got him to do it
I guess Fred finally lost it after 50 years of Barney stealing his Pebbles cereal every time. Imagine his reaction after seeing the chase on the news. Barney: "Ah jeez Fred, I know you hate me for running with your cereal, but leave Bam Bam out of this." 😂
World's wildest police videos is one of my favorite shows and just watching this small parody of it made me laugh, they even got the narrator of the show for this segment XD
Hey Fire Miracle. I use to watch reruns of the show on RU-vid in 2011. This was shortly before the 5th season came out. I hope they bring it back, cause if they do, I’ll guarantee you that they’ll use the one with the kid who thinks he’s in gta video.
At this point, the dinosaur in the backseat pokes his head up through the roof. And the driver places 2 small children on top of it. Running from the cops... *YABBA DABBA DON'T!*
"Even in a modern day stone age, law enforcers put their lives on the line, a thin line between the crustiness of the crustacean period and the coldness of Ice Age mentality, where the only ten commandments are the ones not invented yet! Buckle up! It's gonna be a wild ride in the tar pits...on World's Wildest Prehistoric Police Videos! --Sherriff John Stone-Elle!
Back to the days when family guy was actually funny and didn't suck like it does now. They really need to go back to the old episodes and do more like this.
