JUNE 5, 2020: How the family of #NoelChambers fought for his release during his 40 years in prison awaiting trial and the last time his beloved sister, Joyce Davy, saw him.
Jamaica should be ashamed! I'm sure everyone this poor woman spoke to knew very well this gentleman's case would go nowhere without a lawyer representing him.. Treatment of the poor.
Ms Joyce, my heart goes out for you and your family. A lot of these so call workers only have a Title 😡 and collects a pay cheque doing very little work or no work at all. They are liars, they are not loyal and is a waste to mankind. I hope all these dead beat personnel that robbed you of a service and cause you pain and agony may themselves live in total regrets and continuous flashback of their injustice to society. Jamaica authorities endorse these poor services and that is one of the reasons why that poor island is suffering so badly.
Omgoodness , Jamaica is the worst country on God's planet earth. There are somuch evil hypocritical people in our Govt and high offices , heartless and unconscionable Omgoodness
I am so ashamed to call myself a Jamaican right now!! 40 years without a trial!!!! People please get your stories out there and shame these politicians who love to lead the privileged lifestyles off your taxes, and let poor men and women rot in a prison. His blood is on their hands, whatever Party they belong to.
@Trinity George i dont think yall really understand. The man was claimed fit for trial after a while but got no trial. You cant say his family fail him. The system failed him
So why these people did not get legal representation for him..The family should now get an Attorney to investigate this case & possible file Civil Charges against the prison for this injustice!
Well God help us anyone can forget us especially when you don't have anything to give humans being forget each other not only in prison in real life may his soul rest in peace the system already hate themselves I cannot join the hate ❤the changes Is here the change is now love is needed in all it's forms give thanks
Why the family didn't get a lawyer to handle this case, talking with these officials back then didn't help, unless they were hired to handle the case. They were not going to work for free. You as his sister needed more support to get him out of prison. You couldn't do it alone. Other family members could have seek Media's attention also. Then some one would have to take it seriously. Leaving money with an helpless man in prison may not have helped in his situation. I just hope people are paying close attention to this story so this unthinkable, unbelievable story doesn't happen to another human being. Very sad case. My heart felt condolences to the family❤️ 🙏🇯🇲
I remember a friend of mine was telling me his story of being in juvenile home when he was younger because he grew up without a mother or father and at one point he said this while crying " put it this way, when you are there you cannot wash your face like normal, you have to wash one side of your face then the other, because the very warden is homosexual." I went no further in asking him anything about it because i knew he was molested while there.
The is very sad! The government system fail this man and also his family. I could not have any of my brothers in prison for any given time and don't seek every thing to get him out. We as Black people need to look after our one another.🙏🏾🙏🏾
The government must pay! However, an investigation must be carried out to the full extent to find out what system took from him while he had been locked up, it is what they usually do, a plot between lawyers..judges..politicians and their friends. This has been going on far too long because family members are incapable to cause a stir. Remember that man from Manchester, by the time his family found him, the 2 expensive plots of land was 1 a shopping plaza & 2 an apartment complex.
That is UNACCEPTABLE! & That man & his family deserves some answers and some justice EXPEDITIOUSLY! Prayers sent out from your sister in the US 🇺🇸 🇯🇲🙏🏽
Yall need to stop saying his family failed him. From what i heared , initially he was not fit for trial but after a while he was but never got any trial. So the system failed him. They have broken so many human rights against this man.
As the Bible says: the people perish for lack of knowledge. Not everybody knows the justice system and if they don't know where to get proper representation the families and their loved ones perish in the system. Crime and violence is not the real killer. The Jamaican justice system is the real serial killer.
I am still waiting for 40 years for my PROPERTY title from JAMAICA NATIONAL BUILDING Society. Yes today is 05June 2020....and I am still not in POSSESION BUT the GOVERNMENT is PAID and collect their PROPERTY TAX.
My God My God my heart ace....Almighty with tears in my eyes i say when will JAMAICA get a Mosse to deliver us from Pharaoh because this behavior continues from the politicians and the corrupted police force this is wickedness in the first degree murder ....
Man I'm not a lawyer of any sort but how was it possible to leave this man for so long? There are legal aids and such...... Boi I wouldn't be comfortable knowing my family is there without a fair trial This man got a sentence without being tried . So sad.
Me really sad but me personally know that legal aid lawyer don't give a dam about U if U don't.have money to give them. I just wonder if they don't know GOD is watching.
This man in prison for 40 years never had courtcase and he have family that's inhumane to treat anyone human being in that manner..May his Soul Rest in Peace.
Why should people feel so sorry for some of these violent and vicious thugs who have destroyed lives in Jamaica and leaved family hurting, we need to rise up and take back Jamaica from these thugs who are destroying lives, hanging is no more, so when a criminal go out and murdered innocent people and they get life in prison, they should died in prison that is what life in prison meant.
Fellow Jamaicans how longer will you be accepting these inhumane behavior from the people we elect to represent us? The minister of security should face a lawsuit.
The Governor General should be nominated for an Oscar ,he has acted on behalf of a distant Queen far removed from the real needs of folks who were never treated as humans. This is the role of a man who has no urgency to expedite any matter affecting the lives of his own kit, kin, creed and race.By the order of St Michael and St George do continue to look down at us with disdain you horrible creature!
Shame! Sad sad sad situation...I wonder how many more stories like this?!? Injustice....40years and no trial? Wow! Come Lord Jesus, come. God be with the family as they grieve this loss🙏🏽🙁
So sad to hear about this..... but at the end of the day why the family didn't get a good lawyer instead of letting people having them around in circles over all these years....who knows maybe he could have been alive at this moment you know..... so sad
What is the Prime Minister and Justice Minister doing about this so that it NEVER happens again? There are likely other people in a similar situation in the Jamaican "justice" system. This is shameful. I thought Jamaica was better than that. Please prove me wrong.
My heart goes out for this family....the prisoners is been ignored by the governor general only want to collect his pay ..food is sent to kitchen for prisoners ..the workers tek it to them yard...the governor general and security need to get up off there ass....there is innocent people in prison...the PM need to make these people are doing there work
Where the hell was this man family..where is the councilman for the area ,any one would go crazy in the conditions. Dam am mad nasty government system.
The family neglect the man. What about getting a lawyer for ur brother now u come chatting up a bag of nothing. 40 yrs an the family couldn't do nothing. If sick nuh care doctor wont either. just saying
Wow justice for the poor and justice for the rich is so deferent who you know play a big role in Jamaica this family is not rich as you can see if they were it would be a deferent story 😡 This is FU on all levels My uncle spent 10 years at GP a judge pointed him out saying he looks like the person who rob him and without no evidence he got 10 years Jamaica must do better 😡
The family should be compensated for what they have done to this man. No way this should have happen to any jamaican in prison. They should be all held accountable for what they did. They did6 show compassion and need to do something right away. WHO IS THE VOICE OF THE PRISONERS????.
So why was the family not get a lawyer to fight the case after so many years. The police in the case should be charged for a crime. That's a damn crime to be in prison without charge and I know for sure this man is innocent. He probably lost his mind before he died. I think he developed mental health issues in the process of trying to cope with his incarceration.
