The Walmart pizza rolls are OK but not as good as the Totino's. They didn't seem to be as well sealed and the sauce inside was lacking, in my family's opinion. If you want to try making your own chili seasoning, it is a really simple recipe. To make a large batch of chili seasoning, or the equivalent of 8 packets, mix the following ingredients together: 1/2 - 3/4 cup chili powder 4 tablespoons cumin 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper (I use less as I don't believe food should hurt) 2 teaspoons garlic powder (I use more because garlic is life) 4 teaspoons onion powder 2-½ tablespoons salt (adjust to your family, you can always add more but you can't take it out once it's in) 4 teaspoons pepper 1 tablespoon Mexican oregano (Italian will work just fine but the flavor is slightly different) I also find that if I add just a touch of sweetner (sugar, honey etc,) near the end of cooking, the flavor seems more well rounded. Also, if you want to easily thicken your chili, I use 1/4 - 1/2 cup of masa mixed with water to form a thickish but pourable paste. Add this into the slightly simmering chili 1/2 hour before serving. Of course the masa quantity is based on the size of the chili batch but it also adds that little something because it's corn flour. My batch is usually a 4X batch and this quantity seems to work for me. Again, you can always add more if needed but once it's in....well, chili wallpaper paste has happened once or twice. SO my advice is to start slow and add more if needed.
Alicia isn’t Josh concerned about the amount of sugar the kids consume? As all the coaches I’ve known with my sons, have always been warned about not consuming too much sugar and eating healthy if they want to achieve their very best.
Good thing she won't listen to you. You obviously haven't heard her explain why get gets certain foods that she knows her kids will eat and keeps buying them
Besides a birthday and abiding to your child’s wishes, I remember her saying that most of her kids have diet restrictions like dairy and sugar from fetal alcoholism 🤔 😵💫
That's one thing I can also say about my kilo in this house. Fruits and vegetables don't stick around very long! We usually have a time when we go to Olive Garden and she orders her shrimp Alfredo with Pasta, and she asks for grapes and broccoli for her sides. We've had waiters actually start to argue with her and try to get her to change. Her mind from broccoli to French fries. Usually her daughter, I have to speak up and say, listen, she likes broccoli OK, she's not and normal kid apparently because she likes broccoli, but she wants broccoli, please, and thank you no more questions, and then they finally leave the table LOL.
Huge happy 18th birthday wishes Alex Dougherty ,may this day be just as special as every other birthday . May you be blessed with gifts ,and much love from all your family . Now an adult and heading off too college . Making your dreams a reality . Best wishes from Glasgow Scotland.
You've probably answered this question tons, but when you decide on what store to shop at for the main grocery shop, do you pick it based on like things they have like versus the other store?
Ok you just bought tons of candy and chocolate for valentines now this. It’s so so so so bad for your children. Do you not care about feeding them this??? It is horribly unhealthy. They must have so many cavities with all the pop and candy and chocolate and cookies. My mind is blown here.
I would be careful putting food items next to soap type items. Just something my Mom taught me as the soap smell could permeate the wrapping and get to the food.
I hate negativity people The Dougherty Dozen a great family & there vlogs are the best & Alicia and Josh are amazing parents & they raise their kids up right & well mannered & i watch them when im not working ❤
Not again, there is no need to shop every week, you have full garage and fridges/freezers. I would love to see how much food is expired in your fridge/freezer . You could fees Army with your stock of food
Guess you never heard of anyone keeping a constant rotation of food? Especially if you use it everyday or a lot in recipes. People have been doing it since the beginning to time so why are bothered by it? It’s not uncommon for large families. My grandmother did it. 🤷🏼♀️
Your sweater is so pretty. I don’t think we have all those flavors of Oreos. Can you let me know if they were all good.I love your shopping videos! How do you deal with the negative comments?
Great value bacon is one of the best brands to buy..the first time I bought it I was like😮😮😮..it fries up so nice…better than the name brands that shrivel and throwing grease everywhere!!
I just started watching your channel. Do you have a pantry? I'm from the UK and my farmhouse is hundreds of years old. I have two full pantries and an earth cellar. Stocked up to last for years.
I’ve always wanted to visit the UK. She and Josh turned part their garage into a pantry. She has several stocking videos. They’re really cool and informative.
She's got 13 kids plus her and her husband that's 15 birthdays plus holidays in between. They don't need to do that a cake or Cupcakes and gifts. That's all u need and a good meal.
But first it's her money and people don't get to tell her what to spend her money on. I'm pretty positive that you make some not so healthy choices in your life. Not everyone eats like a fitness instructor. They also get fruits and vegetables as well.
Always buys huge amounts of sugar-ladened items, but one of the kids wants to make cookies, so grab more sugar. Food aversion is one thing with some of the kids, but why this insanity. Yeah, I know, I know, it’s her money and kids. It’s not good for little bodies to eat so much refined sugar. Stop using the issues of some of the kids.
@@radiohead000 What does that have to do with the amount of garbage food she and her husband feed these kids? She herself said sugar has to be controlled because of various conditions, including addictive natures. Gee, I wonder why she then ignored that.Yes, they have a bunch of kids, and if you choose that, care for their young bodies and not use them for money. You do know no one forced them to collect children, right?
Also, don’t put any food next to laundry detergent or dryer sheets. I put candy next to my dryer sheets in the cart and when I ate my candy I weirdly could taste the dryer sheet! It ruined the candy I bought lol.
Hi Alicia 😊 I always love shopping with you 😊 I never buy dented cans, I’m always worried it breaks the seal. It’s great that you keep a stocked pantry, you never know when we will have shortages again. I think some of the awful comments you get come from people who have no clue what it’s like to have a child with food aversion. Some days you’re grateful to see them eat a cookie. You’re doing great😊 please don’t let the negative, hateful comments put doubts in your head. ❤
You might get a good giggle out of this little story. For years I have been buying the Oreida brand fries. And I swear it was not until this past year, i learned that name was formed from Oregon and Idaho. Lol Ore and Ida. I was so dumbfounded I could not believe I missed that one all of these years. Love your videos and really enjoy your shopping vlogs
I know I always watch them to get ideas . It’s actually helped me to understand how to understand my son with sensory needs better we are finally making progress with eating .
@bdstairways I can’t believe Josh is a coach he should at lest worry about the sugar and junk the kids consume, but then again, he probably doesn’t care except for his favourite, who is trying to eat healthy.😢
@@katemiller7874 I’m actually suggesting feeding children in a healthy way. This videos are streamed online for millions of viewers. I’m simply stating that feeding children this amount of sugar is very unhealthy.
You get all those Oreos, you could feed an army with that amount. But you draw the line at getting him an actual Birthday Cake. It is his birthday 🎉, get him a dam cake 🎂.
@@sarahweld4533 who said he didn’t want a cake, she said that the restaurant has lots of different slices in the package they have booked and she will just use one of those. She never said Alex didn’t want a cake.
Bet you’re glad to have another cook in the house! Happy Birthday to Alex 🎂. I love watching your shopping videos. Just curious, did you require sutures when you cracked your head? Glad you’re okay. Your sweater is so cute and festive. 🧡✌🏻
Alicia not sure if you’ll see this but they have a different section for protein bars! It will be located near the medication area! Ask an associate if you can’t find it but they have better protein bars!
I do not buy the dented cans of food. My OCD won't allow it. Take Midol for your headach pain, this is what I take when I get my blinding migraines. Works like a charm. Can I ask why you don't buy the huge cans of fruit at Costco?
I would not buy dented cans. Denting may mean damage to the seal (which means some harmful pathogens can get in) which can lead to botulism in the worst case scenario so I would not risk it
Just wondering how one cup of blueberries and 2 of raspberries is enough for 13 people for a week! 😂😂. So much healthier than canned fruit with all that sugar added!
If I could pick groceries up like that it would cost about 3,000$ where I live. I live in Newfoundland, Canada. I love watching you grocery shop, all the best to you for doing what you do.
I don’t understand why people are always giving her a hard time because she shops every week. There is nothing wrong with keeping a constant rotation of food that you use all the time. My grandmother did it all the years she was alive..so since she does it and films its all of a sudden wrong?? She isn’t the only family that does this.
I'm not from the USA and i just dont understand one thing. You guys eating the fruits from the cans or like you just bought it to use it in cake or a dessert? Because why buying can fruit when you can grab the fresh ones? Not judging just curios 😮
This isn't even a complete sentence😂 Remember, Alicia and Josh both have their teaching degrees (in Special Ed.).Using proper grammar on this page is encouraged❤
