You can call your bank before your vacation and let them know you'll be using your credit card out of town and they'll make note of it and not freeze your account if they see any unusual out of town purchases. I love watching your grocery haul videos, its like a wish fulfillment thing imagining going to the store and buying just whatever I want. Haha not choosing between staples for making meals and treats. Your kids are going to have such fond memories of their childhoods with you when they're older!

Couple of money-saving (strees-saving) tips you may not have thought of: Instant oatmeal can be made in disposable cups with hot water from the coffee maker (cheap breakfast). You might want to pack instant noodles and single-serve Chef Boyardee for late night munchies. Microwave popcorn takes up next to no space and is good for upset tummies. Stick packs of Kool-Aid in case the tap water tastes “funny” for the kids. Bottled water will be an expensive hassle. Go to Dollar Tree for sports bottles and other travel necessities. The kids can lose them without a budget hit. They have nice snack boxes. Four packs of travel tissues per kid. Bandages with antibiotic in the pad so you don’t have to mess with a tube. Travel pack of baby wipes for each kid. Bandana for each kid. Good for headbands, hair ties, sweat rags, and improvised masks. Take a couple pair of disposable gloves for BIG messes. Disposable scented diaper bags for stinky messes. Carry a few pairs of clean underwear so that a bad hot dog doesn’t ruin your day. Cough drops. Do not forget cough drops. Smog + allergies = 🤧

A MUST DO BEFORE ANY TRIP. cc OR debit card call them. Set a travel plan. Day start to day return. I do this every time I travel. If inside my home state is no problem. But if outside Az, i always call. Friendly suggestion. Don't forget a EMPTY water bottle for every one. Can bring in their carry on bags. But tsa won't allow if have liquid in them. When I flew back in May hand sanitizer was allowed, the tiny bottles like you hang on your purse size. Also may want (esp younger kiddos) to pack a extra outfit in their carry on bags. i always do for planes (im 50 yrs old) & my adult son (29 years old). Is a just in case cause you never know.

No one wants to receive a fraud alert while on vacation. Can’t imagine having that many kids to take care of but having money to just be able to get whatever without worrying about cost has to add a big weight off of you. For your coffee bring along a travel coffee cup, an electric kettle, a plastic funnel and buy the number 2 coffee filters, Bring your favorite coffee and make your own. You can buy the milk in NYC.

We are a military family and live in Hawaii, but something i never realized before before now is that you can travel with one of those 40 gallon bins with wheels and it still counts as a regular baggage as long as it doesnt go over weight limit and linear measurment. Was great to know for when we were being stationed here and had to plan to stay in a hotel for 3 months before we got our housing. Would make carrying all the snacks a lot easier! And you could pack drinks in there also!

Usually if you call your bank and let them know you are traveling on vacation then they will not freeze your card. My husband and I learned that the hard way when we traveled to Texas on vacation and went to get gas and our cards were frozen. Thank goodness we had some cash on us.

We have a drink dispenser like that and a lot of time we just put ice in the bottom to help keep it cooler for longer without watering the drink down any further

It’s also because almost all the food you buy is processed junk and yes all toiletries are expensive

I wore pull-ups until I was 11 🤷‍♀️ I don’t know if they still have it, but when I was that age, there were pull ups for those sizes. Thank you for not making a big deal out of it for your kids (especially because it’s not something they can control)

Thanks to you, I use tiny paper cups for kids vitamins! It's soooo much easier! Also, I am the one that has to take a decent amount of meds/vitamins in my family and your weekly/monthly sorting video inspired me to get on that organizing so I can take my meds regularly and not just "when I remember to fill my organizer". The amount of snacks for a short plane ride seems quite excessive. A cheese string, granola bar and a baggie of cut up fruit or veg per child would have been enough, in my opinion. But I was bothered more by the public mention of some of the kids’ health issues and need for certain personal care products. I think that crosses a huge line regarding privacy as well as potential for bullying…

I’m a foster momma, or should say was. Single mom with 2 kids is all I can financially handle or I would have a house full. My daughter has sensory processing disorder and we are there too with incontinence at night….. thank you for being such a positive person and I impatiently wait for your videos!

For your watermelon hack, yellow spot means nice and ripe and firm, but to know if it's also sweet, look for the brown patches or lines of bee stings! The bee's go for the sweet ones! Combine these two hacks and you will have the best of the best!

I looked at that total and about had a conniption. Then I realized that is essentially 10 days of food for 14 people. I shop frugally but I still would spend about $300 on groceries for 4 people for 10 days, so with your extras for your anniversary, that is about right. I can’t imagine how this inflation is affecting your family.

It’s interesting to see how many pain relief tablets you’re allowed to buy, here in the uk we’re only allowed 2 small packets at one time. If you take any more than that to the checkouts they take them away from you.

If you're going to be doing any kind of dipping with your chips it has to be the wavy ones. The flat kind are way to thin & break into pieces if you try to dip them.

I understand snacks for the plane but your not going to be in the air for very long, lol. Looks like your getting ready for a cross country flight

I love the way you shop and you just buy everything that you want and you don't really look at prices very much you would not want to go shopping with me I will sit in an aisle and look at all the prices to make sure I get the cheapest price for the item

Helpful hint for the movies. Buy large bags of candy and divide them into snack sized ziplocs. Saves space and money.

Wavy chips vs "flat" chips as you call them, lol, the wavy chips tend to be thicker and are easier to use in dips and not brake as easy as the flats. Whereas flat chips will break and crumble much quicker when you go to dip them in the dips. But Frito Scoops and Tostito Scoops are by far the best snack chips to use with dips. Hope this gives you some idea.

TIP: I would start loading my receipt into the FETCH app BEFORE I showed it to the public... some will rip you off and not care that it isn't their rewards. Trust me.

When I go to the store I can think of that day and the next day and that's it. You thought of the week, the flight there and back, the meal when you return and the breakfast for the morning after you return plus a huge holiday! Without a list! Oh and a movie night......Amazing! Here in Los Angeles, California when you go to the Airport they take all food items from your carryon's. They don't allow any outside food inside the terminal. I don't know about where you live but I would check with the Airline just in case. Hope you and your family have a Wonderful and Safe Trip.

Regarding the disposal briefs - given that the kids are adopted I’m assuming they have Medicaid as part of their subsidy. Medicaid (in ever state I’m aware of ) covers these supplies for kids over potty training age (usually over 5). Those providers also carry a greater variety. Even if you don’t want to bother with Medicaid, it is still cheaper to buy these through a medical supply place local to you (they deliver). Just a thought.

When you say sneaking in the back door, I have to smile. As much money you spend there, they should give you a key. 🤣
