It's just my husband and I but I do like to prep. He's a vegetarian from India, I'm a Midwest girl so we eat totally differently lol. Also, on these big hauls, if I have extra on hand then I know I can help others who may be having a hard time. Either by donating to them or making them a meal. During this pandemic we've even given toilet paper to people who couldn't get any from the stores. Now every time we go to Costco I grab a pack just for that reason. Yes, I have four big packs but my kids and/or neighbors won't be without if another shortage happens lol.

Well she shouldn’t be posting it online and shouldn’t have had that many children then. PERIOD. Y’all are ruining the earth with all this unsustainable bullshit.
@@corimoon3360 tf do you mean she shouldn't have that many children?! If she and her husband want to have a big, loving, happy family of their own, they have every right to do so. And she can post what she wants online. People who want to be negative and say stuff can easily mind their fucking business, and not say anything on what people can or can't do with THEIR life. When you said the 25lbs of rice will last your family a year.. my eyes widen. 😂 As an Asian, our family goes through 25kg of rice a month. So.. 50+lbs a month.
Some probably think there is waste or some could be a little jealous because they cannot afford the food they need.Just an opinion. However people should do what works for them under their means.

A Costco manager in Austin, Texas told me that one of the goals of Costco is to keep families out of their store. They want you to shop once a month or once every two weeks and spend the rest of the time with your family. That really put their big sizes in perspective for me.
I can understand things like biscuits, hand wash but I fear you end up eating lots of food with preservatives if you want to stay awayfor months. I'm Asian maybe I can't relate.
Be honest. After spending almost 4K and an entire day of shopping/loading/unloading and putting away groceries...did you order out for dinner?? Cause that’s what I would have done!! 😂😂😂
This lady mentioned freezer meals and it's quite possible to really think it through and have your meal ready to heat up when you get back home. Or even have a slow cooker meal prepped the night before and cooking throughout your shopping day. Anytime there's a challenging full-on day or week coming up, cooking & prepping food in advance is such a great help. Anything to help manage exhausting challenges, it's worth it all to be shopped up for six months :)
Edit: Woah! That was a lot of likes haha, thanks everyone! If you want breakdowns on other videos feel free to tag me 😊 So for anyone wondering how this is cost effective here is the breakdown: $3,700 dollars for on average 5 months of food Her family has 7 members $3,700 divided by 5 is $740 per month. That means each member of her family eats for about $105 a month, or if you're going by weeks $26 dollars a week or $3.77 per day per family member. This is extremely cost effective and smart.
@@vicoyeyemarz6508 exactly that is pretty average, people just shop differently. We go every 2-3 weeks but we would shop like this if we had more storage space.
I want to see how you put all of this stuff up and organized. That would make an awesome video. I would totally do this if I had the room and a Costco.
@@-greentoad Theyre hating on her by saying she's spending too much when they see the upfront cost. So if you break it down per month for them, they seem to understand more. Nobody leave any hate comments!!! This is smart! Who wants to be taking kids or themselves out in the winter in cold and flu season with Covid-19 topping it all!!!??? Any sickness could potentially cost more money!! You go girl! Feed your family!!
Our great great grandparents if they went to town, went by wagon once every month to two months if they were lucky. My great grandparents would have to make water biscuits and red eyed gravy, a gravy the was mostly bacon grease , cold coffee and corn meal or flour to thicken it, we are so blessed to get to shop at all 👍🏻😁
I have been scanning my receipts because I am terrible about shopping and realizing I forgot items for a recipe. I plan on making a master list so I know exactly what I use and can do this (to the extent we have storage because it's a small house). In the end it's cheaper because you eliminate a lot of impulse purchases.
Right!!! I remember I used to live with my parents and have two brothers...YES they eat!!! So I remembered our grocery hauls. It wasn’t a waste of food.

Fantastic haul but I’m so exhausted for you. You have a lot of work ahead of you. Wish I could give you a hand.... I don’t know why people have to be so cruel and negative. When you beak your haul down, $125.00 a week for a family of 7 is wonderful.I watch Tiffany over at Large Family Love and she does a budget of $400 to $600 monthly w a family of 7. I think you both are amazing. So pay no heed to those who can’t say anything nice. Take it easy and God bless you n your family.
How do you plan for this kind of trip? I would love to see some of the prep work that goes into a shopping list for this. Also seeing how you store everything would be nice.
@In Som I don't understand this. Maybe people have been giving me the stink eye too but I just haven't noticed. Why would someone be upset because of how many supplies you buy? It never occurred to me that others would be judging me.

As someone who lives in a rural area where delivery isn’t a thing, heavy snows 8 months of the year & the closest Costco is 3hrs away: we do perishables in town(30mins away) but we only do day trips to Costco almost 3x a year and I’m dropping almost 2grand of 3 FULL carts to stock up for 6 months for non perishables. I feel you on the wierd looks people give you but when you have kids and you wanna avoid stores as much as humanly possible, you do what you gotta do🖤 I hate grocery shopping personally so I’ve always done huge hauls at a time😆
As a Canadian (in Alberta and close to the mountains), we get horrible blizzards and it’s so important to be stocked up for winter! You just never know what is going to happen. There could literally be weeks where we would be snowed in. It’s so sad that people have to justify things because people can be so cruel
I live in Jersey and i get it u hate shopping if i could do this i would but i have nowhere to put 1,200 1,500 2,000 or 3,600 dollars worth of food in my little apartment😩
Ya, Alberta has crazy weather. I'm in Manitoba, my Brother and Sister both live in Alberta and you guys get doozy storms!! lol We lived in the Arctic for 2 yrs and I would buy all my groceries for a year, except fresh stuff, to ship on the barge, I had it down to the last roll of toilet paper!! haha
Thanks for the advice! I just started bread class in pastry school and started wondering about it just sitting in my cabinet. Do you have to thaw it before you use it at all?
Oh my god, I had to laugh when you said the plastic wrap lasted 5 years....no joke! I just ran out of the first one I ever bought at costco, 7 years ago!!!!! LOL
I'm a minute and a half in, and I've just go to say: If you have the income, and you are able to budget so you can spend $3700 in a Costco haul for things you NEED, then more power to you!! You're going to spend the money eventually over time buying the same things. You may as well buy in bulk and save in the long run. Also...tax write off for turning it into content. 💁♀️👍
I completely understand the need to do this especially with all those kids! My only suggestion is if you’re gonna spend all that money on ziplock bags every time it would be more cost effective just to invest in Stasher bags, plus so much better for the environment 😊
To the people who leave negative feedback, when you try to bring others down, you are already beneath them! Isn't there enough negative in the world already. To Tabitha, you keep doing YOU! Take care stay safe!

Dangggg I can’t imagine going to the store like this twice a year. How cool is that...two days of hard work out of the year. Sounds super convenient and overall cheaper in the long run.
I love grocery hauls, mostly because in Greece we don't have this much variety of everything like you do, especially in the freezer section.Don't pay any attention to the haters, they're just jealous!!
The hate commenters are wrong. You cannot feed and care for a family of 7 by going to the super market every week. And it does make sense if you do the math. Good for you, dear. And thank you for making those videos AND taking care of your loved ones! ❤️
@Lila Sil. Im not a hater. But you absolutely can feed a family of 7 by going to grocery store weekly. Especially if your organized. But she is just choosing to do it different and do what works for her and her family. I highly doubt every family of 7 does this. Glad it works for her.
@youareminealways probably only buying food. She bought way more than just food. She also said she is a family of 7 & they have a new baby. Babies alone cost a lot. Diapers, wipes, formula, medicine, clothes, etc. She did just fine when it gets broken done weekly.
@youareminealways and not everyone chooses to do that. Doesn't matter. It's not your family, not your money, not your life. She isn't hurting anyone. It's not like she cleaned out the store. It's Costco for God sake. They rarely ever run out of anything because they are constantly getting shipments, not to mention their huge freezers that are stocked full. There is no reason to hate on someone for taking care of their family. NONE
@youareminealways you know not all women can breastfeed. And while it may be cheaper to not buy in bulk. We’re in the 2nd wave of COVID-19 . Wise and prudent to be prepared. A good scout is always prepared. Some of her purchases are for comfort and some for long term. I love watching what people actually purchase to see what I have missed in my peeps.
If you get your cost of food per person down for a week then the following week you can buy an extra day or two and eventually you will be able to buy a haul like this.

Snowy River I was in college and EVERYONE knows how it is in college. So I did this experiment where I went to the store to spend $30 on healthy food. Let’s just say I only got a bag of oranges, pack of strawberries and bag of apples and all that came to $16, so I had $14 left to get turkey, wheat bread, baked chips and some orange juice, that lasted 2 weeks because the cafe food was terrible. So all that for $30. Then another time went to dollar tree and bout up food that lasted me almost a month. People are poor, some working 2 jobs and still can’t even afford to feed themselves. Not everyone is wealthy or even well off. There are still poor people, yes some people are lazy, but not all. That was just healthy, now the organic stuff of all that would have been 2-3x the price.
@@snowysnowyriver I’m tired of people saying well don’t have kids if you can’t afford food or such. Then people can’t afford to move and is stuck working at fast food jobs cause that’s all some areas have and then the healthy food is expensive. Haven’t you noticed that’s also why people are bigger is because healthy stuff IS more expensive than junk. Look at celebrities, ALL LOOOK GOOD, cause they are rich and can afford to buy ALL ORGANIC.
@@extraordinarybri2355 the problem with your comparison is what that your buying all fresh. If you cook from scratch and eat basic ingredients then its cheaper. Nothing wrong in storing food. Mostly we Gujaratis (Indian community) store dry food like grains, lentils, rice, flour etc for 6months to year.
