The family of Martez Abram, the man found guilty of killing two Walmart employees, says they are going through a difficult time after Abram was sentenced to death.
It blows my mind when these killers and their families get so upset about them getting the death penalty. He gave 2 other people the death penalty and didn't seem bothered about it at all...
@@Countrylady the justice system is just messed up because the parkland shooter didn’t get the death penalty and he killed 16 people , this guy should of just gotten a life sentence so he can suffer but the justice system is all messed up
I think they are more upset at how EASILY this guy got 2 death sentences when mass killers only got 1. For instance, Roof, killed 9, Holmes killed 12, Cruz killed 17, so on and so forth. But none of those white guys got more than 1 death sentence. How do you mitigate the disparity? Do you think that maybe it could be racial?
Yes, others have absolutely deserved the death penalty but didn’t receive it. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that he deserves it too. Black, white or any other color, get these murderers off the street and put em down.
Wow! Hearing her speak and trying to talk the blame game makes me understand how he could have done what he did. I can imagine her as a mother to him as a child saying “oh your I’m not going to discipline you because the kid down the street did something way worse than what you did” smh. It starts at home. Not saying that the other killers don’t deserve the death penalty because the DEFINITELY DO, but we’re on the case of your son at the moment and just like you care about your sons life. The innocent people he killed has loved ones who cared about them just as much and they deserve justice!
Girl hush, whatever happened was not a mass shooting, the ppl was co worker, we don’t know what happened could have been retaliation for getting him suspended, something happened and he snapped. He clearly knew his victims which mean the killing wasn’t random like an ACTUAL MASS SHOOTER, it’s just best for my ppl to stfu sometimes
Personally I get the feeling she wanted to say that there are a lot of white Mass shooters that have killed way more people that got life her son killed two people and they gave him the death penalty
@@areyousure5439 facts, wrong is wrong. Idc what state you in. Honestly this should not even be consider a mass shooting, but a double homicide out of retaliation, he knew his victims and it wasn’t random. A mass shooter shoot random ppl for no real reason and get evaluated which is insane.
The white guy who went in a black church and kill them ppl got chicken when really he deserved the extreme, that was a hate crime, a terrorist attacked damn near, but the judicial system in a white hick town never see thing for what it truly is.
You'd think with the past killings from you know you'd think that they weren't even giving the death penalty anymore. Sickening to see that there is forever an imbalance in the Justice system for African americans just the same as slavery time they just hung him without a rope then you well I can tell in the lil' clip while he's on stand answering seem like his mind bad mentally or its done went bad smh
@@marcbrandes9682 law should be the law... Under one government that governs the lands that are in those states in one country.,(A Crime is a crime.) Parkland shooter example killed 15 etc under gun laws in Florida.. he got life. 🙄
@@billlajoy3374 lol y’all love turning a blind eye to the reality of our justice system. Which is IF A CERTAIN MELANATED RACE COMMITs the SAME CRIME WE GET THE BOOK THROWN AT US. That is the truth. That’s exactly why USA is the way it is. My race make up the minority. Meaning if it’s more white on white crime… meaning if the justice system give y’all a slap on the wrist for committing the same crime in the same state y’all literally y’all worse enemy. If a black person do something he/she jail, prison, death… justice been serve, BUT it’s not us committing most of the crime it’s YALL, no wonder the system so corrupt. The slap on the wrist with the clear race is always going to be a problem b/c the system don’t care to do anything but a mental evaluation.
That woman has to realize most of what she is talking about with people who didnt get the death penalty that deserved it "more", doesnt take away the fact he still deserved it, and not only that but thats what happens when you do dumb shit like this in a death penalty state. Most others who deserve death but dont get it is because its not a legally viable option.
Justice served. Pay attention! Kill someone, expect to die for it. People need to get held accountable and stop being damn fools! Did a work suspension really cause the death of multiple people?! We need to grow up and find better ways to deal with things! And just because you have a gun does not make everyone else a target!
America showing it's true colours per usual... What's good for the goose should be good for the gander. And one things for sure whether school, church, or place of business you take the role of a threat by way of being an active shooter, bomber, or someone that has taken life you should be put down. But in America you can be any of those things and still have a chance at life if you're white. Be a person of colour and you'll be cut down at the scene or in this case served to death. Really wish America would show some consistency when "dishing out Justice".
When it comes to our "justice" system, the ability to hire a certain type of legal council is what determines how the law will apply to you. Our justice system may be racist, but its more classist.
Cut the racism crap already and be grateful as hell that you are allowed to live in the USA because the alternative, Africa, is far, far worse. The only people who get the death penalty in the USA are those who have a record of prior felonies. Period. He clearly has a police record. First time offenders do not qualify for the death penalty and get life imprisonment instead. This guy is clearly a lifelong scumbag.
@@jabracc151 There is always Africa for you to move to so you can be free of the whites and you can live among your own kind. I noticed that none of you ever go there even though you are free to do so. Is it because you can't cry racism in a bid for handouts and Free Things???
It’s crazy cuz white ppl do on the regular and they don’t get the death penalty. They sitting in jail living the rest of their lives good it’s not justice is just us
All family's lose in these situations condolences to them all. The way I see any mass shotings by whoever commits them should all get the death penalty not just certain people. Something snaps in a person who can commit these acts against innocent kids and adults should be treated the same.
I feel like he did the crime, he should do the time.... we didn't force him to do what he did. We didn't ask him to. He put himself in that predicament to be judged and trailed. 🤷🏾♀️ When you put yourself in that position nobody can save you 💯
Mutually, we all have FAQs. There was a time I felt the same way about someone's judgement until I realized that although we are the "United States of America" our state laws are not united. This is why each judgement is a case by case scenario and not everyone receives the same punishments. Not sure how this will change in the future or if the supreme court will ever agree to something like this.
This is not a state by state, but color is how they punish. Certain race get justice whereas same crime same state… a mental evaluation or some other clause that will get the clear ppl out. Amerikkka is pure racist. That’s why crime in certain areas by them will never get solve. It’s cool if black kill whites they will be treated, but white on whites which is the majority of crime will be a ongoing issue.
This judge's decision needs to go viral. Thank you your Honor for putting the victims first. Now death penalty for mass murderers of El Paso, TX shooter, Buffalo, NY, and Colorado Springs, and don't forget the punk that murdered his classmates in Colorado.
Repent? So did you miss the part where it also says it's not for us to judge? So he can repent on his own, but you decide if his life is over? Don't pick n choose what part you want to follow smh
It's UNFAIR when it's not meted out EQUALLY. How can you NOT know this? This POS got 2 death sentences? WHY? James Holmes killed 12, didn't get the death penalty at all. How about Nikolas Cruz, killed 17 kids, no death penalty. Where is the "FAIR"? Why did these scum not get 12 AND 17 death penalties? How about Amber Guyger? Why didn't she get the death penalty? I'd love to hear your justifications.
My deepest condolences to the families of all the true victims! Yes this judicial system can be hypocritical when it comes to sentencing certain people however we know this and definitely want to think about this before going out and killing people or breaking any kind of law you already know out the gate you going to be handled a certain way if you are of a particular persuasion!
"Worst things I've ever seen," blah blah blah....yeah, right, does he live in another country. I just saw a dude kill 20 people...wtf is he talking about.
Shit 6 months ago in my city 4 juveniles carjacked an elderly lady who's arm got stuck in the process but they wouldn't stop so her arm was ripped from her body after being dragged almost a mile as all her clothes peeled off her of course she died .. worst thing he ever seen he must be living under a damn rock
It's sounds logical if you think about it when it comes to people getting the death penalty and some not getting it. But the main reason why death penalties vary on who gets it or not is because they are not mandatory sentences that must be imposed. Plus it is not even imposed the same way. Some states require a jury to issue it, while others have judges that just do it.
FACTS!!! It's not what you do BUT where U do it....All States have different laws. And as that man said It is to send a message not to go there and commit crimes...Plus he is BLACK so of course there is no way in hell he would get off!!!
Not true. Despite the popular belief that jury's decide sentences a jury only recommends a sentence a judge is the only person that can hand down a sentence.
She is SO RIGHT , it could be you and your family tomorrow.. doesn't matter WHO y'all are or how well you think you know your loved ones. Praying for all families involved.
No, she's not right, she's talking about HER family not the victims. She's selfish and without remorse. If anyone in my family did what her son did, I can't look at them the same, nor can I even attempt to defend them.
@@Ethereal420 @Ethereal420 I'm with you. If someone in my family did something like this, they deserve what they get. We're not talking about those other people.
No it definitely won't be me I will not take my ass and no business and murder innocent people and I do not believe anyone in my family would either. But if they did I hope they get the death penalty as well!
@@franklinterrell9392 what’s crazy is that so many people feel the way the mother of the shooter feels. I got into a heated debate with a coworker because she couldn’t believe it when I told her that if I were closely related to a cold blooded murderer, specifically someone who’d killed because of their own selfish decisions, that I would NOT stand by them and I’d hope they get everything deserved. She was like, “But that’s your family… how could you turn your back on them?” She didn’t falter, even when I explained that I only meant if they’d killed for their own gain rather than to protect themselves or someone else. We’re surrounded by selfish people- I’d say the majority of humans are selfish in some way.
I have no problem with the verdict. I do have a problem when you tell me the sentences being given out to black men for their crimes versus a white man walking into a black church killing multiple black people going to McDonald's and getting life in prison! School shooters getting life. I have a big problem with Kenosha, WI killer not being charged after crossing State lines with an Assault weapon killing people! . This Country has a very jaded view when it comes to what justice looks like and it's always been based on the color of your skin! Black people don't mind justice being served that's not the problem! The problem is there should be equal applications of justice! I'm tired of seeing it only handed down to black people! Especially when we have clear cases where the death penalty has been warranted. Condolences to these families.
I conveyed a lot of what you said. The interview was 30+ minutes and I do not feel my message was conveyed regarding the Martez Abram I knew and how I feel Mental Illness played a hugh part in this. Who waves are their rights and defends themselves while being sane?
Jacob Gatlin, i could'nt have said it better myself. Well as we keep withnessing this american justice sytem." For Black people." Wait until this so called american half to fight in a war. We Black peoples must let them fight along.
Jacob you said it! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Justice should be equally applied, otherwise it’s not justice, and justice has not been practiced in this wicked land for quite some time.
As you know each states have their own laws on how to deal with criminals. The problem is, democrats keep changing the laws in these states where the death penalty no longer exists. Maybe they should change them back? Also the Kensosha thing. The shooter lived in Kensosha with his father, it was his mother that lived out of state. They had joint custody of their son but that's how the news media is. Also twisting the truth.
This step mother should NEVER speak publicly again. With her logic I wouldn't trust her with my dog! She didn't even offer condolences to the Families of those who lost their loved ones. At best she sounds stupid😒
the media can be deceiving , she might of said her condolences and they just edit it out and put what they want to be heard , only thing i agree with her on is the mass shooter thing , some of them don’t get the death penalty and they killed plenty of people which isn’t fair , but the justice system is just messy
Honestly, I wouldn't offer shit neither. You just sentenced my son to death. Wrong or not, that's my child and I love my children as much as they loved theirs. I'll always have my child's back wrong or right.
That means so much when you have entire police departments circling the wagon when a coward cop murders an innocent citizen. How soon we forget ALL OTHER victims of senseless murders.
It's not justice it's hateful revenge and you are dumb as dirt for believing in it. Imma do you a favor and tell you this word you probably never heard of "understanding and compassion". But my words are probably wasted on your ignorant ears. 🙁
Not that I agree with murder, I don’t agree that this sends a message that it’s a safe place to live. I don’t agree that this is a justifiable sentence. This man committed a crime of passion since he was not in his proper state of mind due to his recent work suspension. I’m white and I feel the female judge appears racist is what I feel and think. I’m sorry for the loss of lives and the trauma; however, it just seems like there should be more research on the judge’s previous decisions on such matters and races. I’m very sorry to all 😢
WTF has gotten into people? Although I've never been suspended, I have been fired. This type of shit has never crossed my mind. I was trying to figure out what I was going to do on my unplanned vacation.
I was good friends with Brandon(BG)...He was a genuine guy and a really dude and didn't deserve this fate....I'm glad to see justice served for this horrendous crime...prayers to Shay and BGs kids and all families involved...
Don’t do it in Mississippi. Others who did similar or worse but got less is unjust. I have no sympathy for the guilty man and he should not be supported for the rest of his life in a prison with public taxpayer funds. He got what was needed, called for, and what he deserved.
Yea don't do anything bad in mississippi or even Arkansas because the judges are dumb rednecks i knew a 18 year old that went to the store and stole a bag of candy and got a year in jail that's how dumb the justice system is in the south.
That's bad! what he did was a bad thing but could never be understood. why? that goes for many other people in the same situation. my heart and blessings go out for those and I pray for everyone, even the wrongdoers. If you kill someone because they killed someone you are a murderer as well. you have to learn to isolate, disconnect, and punish those who do crime, not to settle a score by returning the favor. IT doesn't fix anything for the person you kill and it doesn't fix anything for the people that were damaged by the wrongdoers. It makes people feel that it was all for nothing, because when it's done you can never see what is enough. IT'S never enough! This is what make you all Americans! Nothing's enough and nothing's okay. You cannot learn to build a circle by hands and pray. Make a better day, don't wait for a better day. I feel sorry for that guy and whatever push them to cross that state of mind. Something went terribly wrong. But it's not in a constitution to look into things, it's only in a judgement. And "THAT" no one on earth has that much power. "Christian America" God bless the FAMILIES that were affected by this tragedy.
It's only blk criminals who get all the sympathy in the world from ppl like you. Had he been any other race, your opinion would more than likely be very different. Let's change the story and make the perpetrator a wyt or Hispanic man and I assure you, you would've probably said the opposite. It's a trend these days. I see the pattern whether ppl keep trying to deny it or not.
To his step mother That's the problem lady What about other mass shootings that don't get the death penalty as they should but that has nothing to do with your demon. He absolutely should get the death penalty. Across the country 2 or more people should get it. Trust me I'm in upstate NY where the Tops shooting happened and I'll be damned if the families of the victims support Kathy Hochul and her foolishness about gun control yet NYS hasn't had the death penalty since the the 70s. I definitely think in certain cases No matter where you are it should be on the table.
"I was so mad at my employment suspension, that a planned out and killed my coworkers in my uncontrolled rage."...but it is unjust to sentence this man to death? Justice has been served in his death sentence. 😪 In murder, there are NO winners, no comfort, no peace. Everybody loses, all hearts are broken, lives devastated forever. All because you couldn't handle your emotions. 👎👎👎
Sooo he sentenced ppl to death by his own hands shooting them and his family mad because the court sentenced him to death by humane ways that will probably be drawn out for another 20+ yrs? Gtfoh I have no sympathy for that. She's comparing other mass murders and yeah I get it but hey maybe he should've thought about that before shooting ppl for no reason.
The mother of the murderer really gave the PSA: "Pay attention because your mass shooter relative might get the death penalty next." Barbarism Begins At Home
right? she’s right other cases that are generally seen as “worse” don’t get the same sentencing most of the time, but sentencing him to death is a step in the right direction and hopefully other judges follow suit
@@user-ub9uo2ko4o Different situations& some states don't have death penalty. It's been like this for years. By her bringing up inequality and her son just murdered 2 people "at work" is totally inappropriate
Frenchele Erving - She's no different then Kyle Rittenhouse mother who fought for her son after he deliberately murdered two unarmed people And he received zero prison time He too purchased a assault gun just to take with him; to me that showed intent
State of Mississippi has no say over sentences in other state jurisdictions. Mississippi also does not determine sentence in Federal cases. And what about ALL the other crimes of one of the offended ones that are EXACTLY like this one in that an employee is suspended or fired for MORE than just cause but think they should be allowed to return to place of employment and exact revenge on innocent parties.
You feel big behind that keyboard. Let me ask you something if you had a child that never gave you a moment of problems. Who had worked since the age of 17 two jobs, was an extraordinary father, and up 2 this point had no criminal history and he has a Mental Break obviously, would you want your child put 2 death? My heart goes out to the victims, families, coworkers and customers. I wish that this day had never happened. Martez has repented and if he is put 2 death he will have a heavenly home.
There are many times when the murderer's family or one of the family members make excuses as to why the criminal should not get a harsh penalty/sentence. She had failed to realize that she still have a chance to visit him in prison at anytime whereas his victims' relatives are not be able to see their loved ones living and breathing on earth. She is not 'walking in those family's shoes'. The loss of their son/brother/father will always be with them. These victims were on their jobs prior to the tragedy. They were looking forward to leave work and to go home to enjoy their families but this was taken abruptly away from them and the families are still hurting to this day. This is SAD on all levels.
Once you take a life that is not in self-defense, then you have forfeited your right to life as well. Mental help would have been beneficial before he stole something from two people that is impossible to give back. That responsibility was on himself and the ones closest to him. He made the decision, and even with the sentence has a much less harsh sentence than the ones he handed out himself to two others.
Update in the same area a 11 year old killed his sister. He wrnt to a psych ward and was dischared to him family. He killed again by burning a luttle boy alive to death in a shed. He got 20 years. I just want the scales of justice balanced. Machel A. Parks, stepmothrr of Martez Abram. Praying still for voctims and their familes as wr as the store employees.
Stfu this isn't about race he f****** shot two people and killed them and knew what the f*** he was going to do when he did it and every judge and jury should be this way when people just walk around f****** killing people no matter what the f*** color you are!!!
Prosecutors always talking about “this is the worst I’ve ever seen in all my time.” Blah blah. Like a take recorder. It’s bad, don’t get me wrong but there’s been way worse before then and way worse after then.
That stepmother has a point how did that parkland shooter not get the death penalty when he killed 17 people but this guy does? No consistency our justice system needs overhaul
There are so many factors that play in. Some states have the death penalty and some don't. Even counties in each state have there own set of laws. Things need to be changed. Rectify the whole thing.
