Family of Uvalde victim Makenna Elrod Seiler honors her memory | KVUE 

There hasn't much been said about Makenna nor has there been many interviews with her parents, I want to thank you for doing a story on her. Sadly she was one of the 21. What a beautiful story and how amazing to hear about the butterfly that landed on her fathers hand. May we continue to honor and remember Makenna's name

My heart aches for Makennas mother...my heart breaks for her father.

I can never watch these stories without crying it's so sad

Such a beautiful child. So sad. I have friends in Beeville and their little girl reminds me of McKenna. I have a niece who just turned 8 this week. I fear for her safety every day. I would have given my life to save just one of those innocents that terrible day.

🙏😭❤️ This is so sad. Her mural was beautifully done...surrounded by all those animals she loved and cared for. I have a love for animals and it always warms my heart when I meet another animal lover, especially when it's a child. 🥺 Her parents are great people for helping others while still grieving the horrible senseless loss of their sweet beautiful little girl. I hope they have and continue to have a very strong support system 💔 Seeing the dad break down was heart wrenching. The butterfly story was so beautiful. Perhaps they can grow/place flowers on her resting place that butterflies love, but can also withstand Texas weather. This way, she'll always be surrounded by beautiful butterflies which she loved and her family can feel "hugged" & surrounded by her presence when they visit her ❤️🦋🫂

My heart breaks for this family and the others who lost their loved ones on that horrible day! She was one beautiful little girl. May she rest in peace!!

As a mass shooting survivior who survived the biggest shooting in the country this breaks my heart in pieces for 2 reasons, the police took 90 minutes to stop an active shooter and their bodies were shot beyond indentification

I feel for this family. Thank you for blessing those in your community as you remember your daughter. Im sure that she would be proud. 💕

I've seen great men crumble and never recover from a loss of a daughter It hurts my heart for those families.

😢This is too painful. I remember the news footage when parents were searching for their kids that day, and her Dad told the reporter he was looking for his daughter named Makenna💔

Some Uvalde families have formed an organization called "lives robbed". They continue to fight for accountability and improvements in gun laws. This year, they requested a change in age limits to age 21 for all gun purchases. Yet the Texas legislature said no. How is that possible? So the struggle continues. Identify the representatives who support guns over children. Vote them out. 🦋🗽🦋

They are an amazingly giving family. Didnt reserve so much pain but why are they fighting alone? I mean..the world turned in for people in Uvalde a year ago and then what?? Why were student left alone with the shooter? Who dropped the ball? No consequences? Why is Uvalde fighting alone for their children? Not fair.
