I applied for spouse visa on 10th May 2023 but haven't heard anything from the embassy except that I am in waiting list.

Hello, The best way is to call VFS directly and check there would there be any slots opening soon or not. Sometimes it takes a bit time to get in the list, but you will get an email as soon as the new slots will open

Hello, Thank you. 1. all the documents that you will write by yourself like invitation letter you need to sign, the personal covering letter written by your wife would need her signature. 2. Not really, you don’t need to be there. Just applicants with appointment can go inside. So if you wanna be with her during the process then yea sure but for visa appointment and all you don’t need to be there. 3. If the accommodation contract is under your name and have the enough space to accommodate them then yea sure. If you already completed your city registration ( Meldebescheinigung ) then you need to provide it as well. If you don’t have the house contract on your name then I would recommend to rent an apartment with enough space ( you can check space requirements in Google easily) 4. If marriage certificate is in English then you don’t need to translate it in German. Only the documents that are not in either German or English needs to be translated and notarized. 5. If you already have a approximate date of getting your blue card in your hand then yea sure you can book the appointment. You need the printout of blue card and green paper that comes along with it to submit for your wife’s visa.

Hello, Yes category seems correct to me. Just in case if you wanna make sure if you booked the right appointment or not, you can call VFS customer care and they can confirm it properly. But to me appointment seems correct

Did you get a call for video interview and how many days does it take to get the visa? Have you received yet?

@@amitabhshekhar4643 There is no video interview, person who need the visa have to visit the VFS/Consulate physically to verify the documents. The whole process could take between 6 to 12 weeks depend on the consulate you applied on.

As far as I know surname should be same in all the documents but you can definitely write an email to German consulate Mumbai and ask this directly. Maybe they don’t have any issue. But if your surname is going to change after marriage and I would recommend to change on the documents like adhar pan card and your passport as well.

Hello, Which German embassy would be as per state? Only Delhi need an appointment at consulate, rest will need an appointment at VFS for blue card holder.

@@TravelWithAdi94 my jurisdiction is Delhi Embassy so it means I did right. I have been waiting through the Delhi Embassy. How much will it take time for the appointment?

@@palakjoshi7621 Yes, thats correct, you need an appointment from Consulate. But did you try to make an appointment from VFS website? Even its from consulate, you need to book an appointment from VFS. Try following: - Create an account here: visa.vfsglobal.com/ind/en/deu/login - Register yourself with all your correct data. Make sure every detail you enter is matching with your passport. - Soon maybe in an hour or one day, you will receive an mail for book the appointment. - Just in case, slots are really not available then also you will receive an email soon (lets say within a week or so) to book the appointment. - once you receive the email, you will have 48 hours to book the slots otherwise you will move to waiting list again. Let me know if you have any other questions.

@@TravelWithAdi94 Sir I already did it. Only in Delhi VFS does not provide an appointment. Even not adding in the waitlisted.FRV category

@@palakjoshi7621Same issue here! Slots are not available and cant add to the waiting list at the VFS site…my spouse is a blue card holder too…and we have applied through German Embassy New Delhi on 25th April 2023

Yea you need to take travel insurance and first 3-6 month of staying insurance in Germany

@@sardarnikaur-mr7sc You can ask about your visa application status by writing to german embassy directly: zzVISABVA@bva.bund.de They will tell you where exactly your application is.

Yea it is quite mandatory the marriage photographs. Along with that, they also make sure that if all the rituals have been performed during the wedding or not. So for Example if the marriage is happened as Hindu rituals they will ask for the photos of Pheras, Kanya daan, saptapadi (Where both of you can be seen walking around fire) etc. I would recommend taking around 50 photographs to take along with you including all the important rituals from haldi, mehndi, engagement and all. Otherwise they will for the photographs of missing rituals again after document submission.

@@jitendrajana8143 Yea Marriage certificate is one of the most important document for applying spouse visa. Make sure you have it in english. If not then translate it in english with notary. Carry original along with you for visa appointment.

@@jitendrajana8143 I think best thing would be to call VFS and ask them directly to confirm all the questions. I think you need to go consulate but yes I would recommend calling VFS and checking with them

Hey, it’s ok to just understand a bit, but All the people at VFS are Indian, so it’s won’t be required. You can communicate in Hindi without any issues

Thank you. 1 In the checklist it clearly says that not older than 6 months, so most probably would be a good idea to get a letter again from Rathaus if possible that you are still Registered in the city in your current address or you can email to Germany embassy in India and check , because VFS would not help with document related questions. 2 if you got your passport then yes you can easily do the account creation and put yourself in the waiting list. Once the appointment date is confirm, you get an email with given time frame in which you need to book the appointment otherwise you will be still in the waitlist. But appointments are available now a days at VFS , you just need to check

Hi I think in Delhi , you need to take appointment at consulate, which would be long queue. I would recommend applying from your area. But you can call VFS and check if they can accept your document at Delhi and forward it to dedicated center.
