Can you please guide me how to get family visa to Switzerland or Germany
@visalibrary
@visalibrary 4 месяца назад
To get a family visa for Germany, follow these steps: Determine Eligibility: Ensure that the family member in Germany has a valid residence permit. Application: Apply at the German embassy or consulate in your home country. Documents: Provide marriage certificate or birth certificates for children, proof of German residence of the family member, and proof of financial stability. Appointment: Book and attend an appointment at the consulate for a visa interview. Health Insurance: Show proof of health insurance coverage that meets German standards. Visa Issuance: If approved, the visa is typically issued for the duration of the family member’s permit in Germany. For a family visa to Switzerland, the process is similar: Determine Eligibility: The family member in Switzerland must have a valid residence permit. Application: Apply at the Swiss embassy or consulate in your home country. Documents: Provide necessary personal documents, proof of relationship, and financial means. Appointment: Schedule and attend a visa interview. Approval: Approval depends on meeting all conditions set by the Swiss authorities, including integration potential and adequate living arrangements.

When applying for a family reunification visa to Germany, certain language requirements apply depending on the age and circumstances of the child. For a 16-year-old, it generally depends on the specific case and the discretion of the German authorities. In most cases, children under 16 years old are not required to provide proof of German language skills when applying for a family reunification visa. However, for children aged 16 and above, the requirement for German language proficiency can be more stringent. The German authorities might request proof of basic German language skills, especially if the child is over 16 and planning to join school or integrate into the German education system.

Hi. I am an Eu citizen (Spain) and my daughter as well but my wife is from a non Eu country in Latin America. We are living in latin america and we want to move to germany. Neither me nor my child need anything since we are eu citizens but what can we do for my wife? She is a nstional of a Country that does not require a visa to enter germany or the eu.
@visalibrary

As an EU citizen from Spain, you and your daughter can move to Germany without any additional requirements. Your wife, as a non-EU citizen, can join you through the family reunification process. Contact the German embassy or consulate in your wife's home country for specific requirements and procedures.

My husband got job in Germany last week Now we are planning to apply Family Reunion Visa for myself and Kids My kids are 16, 13 and 4 Is there any more requirements needed for the 16year old son I am worried because I read somewhere he need B2 german language
@visalibrary
@visalibrary 7 месяцев назад
For a family reunion visa to Germany, different requirements may apply to family members depending on their age. In the case of your 16-year-old son, the requirement for a B2 level in German language generally applies if the child is 16 years or older. This requirement is in place to ensure that older children are able to integrate more easily into the German education system and society. However, there are exceptions to this rule. If it can be demonstrated that your son already has a good chance of integrating successfully without the language requirement due to various factors (like previous education, language skills, or family ties in Germany), the B2 requirement might be waived. It's essential to check with the local German embassy or consulate, or an immigration lawyer for the most accurate and current information regarding your specific situation. The requirements can vary and may be subject to change, or there may be specific conditions that apply to your family's circumstances.

is it necessary for the person who already has a residence permit to be a financial sponsor for the spouse? i am going to study in the university in germany and want my partner to join me there. i do not have finances to support him, because he is working online for the international company and supports financially himself. he surely can provide documentations about finances and salary. also is it possible to get a visa for him if we are not married yet but will get a reservation in germany for doing it after he will arrive? thanks in advance for your answer

You should prove your relationship through marriage certificate but consult with immigration local officials.

is 10 yo child also has to have A1 proficiency?
@visalibrary
@visalibrary Год назад
The language proficiency requirements for a Germany family visa depend on the specific circumstances and the type of visa being applied for. In general, if a child is accompanying their parents who are applying for a family visa, the language proficiency requirement typically applies to the parents rather than the child.

Hi there, I want to travel to Germany with my toddler. On the application form will I need to select the option "Other" when applying for his visa. I doubt I can apply for family verification because we are both traveling together. Kindly advise, I have tried contacting the embassy but responses are very delayed.
@visalibrary

What is the purpose of your visit? Are you sure a family visa is right for you? His visa type is likely visitor but what is written for him?
@visalibrary
@visalibrary Год назад
When applying for a visa for your toddler to travel to Germany, you may not need to select the "Other" option on the application form. Instead, you can apply for a regular tourist visa for your child. Family verification may not be necessary if you are both traveling together. However, it is recommended to check with the embassy or consulate for the most accurate and up-to-date information.

Yes, it is possible for someone to obtain a family reunion visa in Germany based on a family member's health issue, such as hearing loss. However, the approval depends on individual circumstances, and there may be cases where such visas have been granted. It's advisable to consult with the German embassy or consulate in your home country for specific guidance and requirements related to your situation.

do a Father who have german national children can join his children with joint custody share or need a full custody and does he need A level german level or not, thanks
@visalibrary
@visalibrary Год назад
In Germany, the legal principle of joint custody (gemeinsames Sorgerecht) is generally favored, which means that both parents have equal rights and responsibilities regarding their children. This principle applies regardless of the parents' nationality. Thus, a father who is a German national would generally have the right to joint custody of his German national children. But look at the eligibility principles of the family visa.
