If you can't protect your home you can't protect your country. Where in the world that squatter have that kind of rights? Are we slow and silently allowed this to happen in the US. I don't understand this world anymore...

That's just insane. I thought they had the castle doctrine there in TX and of course it's a constitutional carry state so anybody can have a gun. That dude would be out of that house in 30 seconds if that were mine I promise you.
We quickly got rid of our squatters by giving a friend a lease agreement which he moved in with all his pets my pets and our friends pets. They included chickens, dogs, cats, snakes, free range pet rats, a goat,4 Roosters and tarantula. We then gave them the legal 3-day notice that we were going to need to do repairs in the home. Sent in a contractor that removed all the doors because we had to replace them with fire rated doors that would be arriving later because of the supply chain problems. They were gone in a week and just had all the carpets cleaned.
Governor DeSantis of Florida signed into law that squatters can be removed immediately. I know Governor Abbott has been busy doing JB's job, but why can't he sign a similar law for Texas? Much respect to Governor DeSantis and Governor Abbott. This should be federal law but Biden doesn't care about Americans.

Maybe on land out in the middle of nowhere in the 1700’s and 1800’s. Certainly not into a home. A lot of this egregious squatter rights stuff where creeps move into a home for sale move in when someone’s on vacation . In this case doing work, it’s all in Democrat run areas.
This is easy to fix…make squatting illegal and a crime like our great Governor DeSantis did here in Florida. Here in Florida a squatter will be arrested and tossed into jail just as a thief should.
This makes me sick, had this happen decades ago, no help from numerous courts proceedings, 18 months & over $50k in damages, gutted my horse & killed my German Shepard pup! Expensive trained dog, threaten us on camera & ran girls off wall, tried to kill my son!
First the words squatter and rights shouldn’t be in the same sentence They shouldn’t have to move forward with anything the police need to arrest him for trespass

This is seriously poor reporting. Texas has laws about squatters and specific criteria a would-be squatter have to meet. But the squatter mentioned in this story is a holdover tenant thanks to the property owners who had him sign a lease agreement (yes, that's technically what it is), which means he as a tenant has certain rights. Do better next time
