So sad for Charalata. She sounded like a wonderful lady. All those years of working so much just wore her body out. May she rest in peace. So sorry for her family. 😢

So incredibly sad about Charulata. She seemed like such a special lady, ultra hardworking, devoted to her family, warm & friendly & a friend to many. I think Dilip took quite a while to appreciate what a gift in had in her. I’m glad her daughter, Ria, so valued her beloved mum. RIP, beautiful lady! 💕

She did seem like a beautiful person and you could tell with the way that she apologized for causing the staff extra work that says a lot about her in a very good way. I feel so sorry for her daughter not having her mom there. I felt the husband was foolish in going to America for 10 years and missing out on those years with the children and his wife. People want the golden apple, in this case back home was the golden apple and it’s called your family. Now that she’s gone he realizes his wife was both beautiful, loving and most of all a treasure.

Luke and Stacy are a great couple. I was born with epilepsy and as a carpenter is a wonderful thing. My father in law only went to 3 rd. Grade, but his dad died and so he went to work. Built roads and learned carpentery. He learned it well Doctors Lawyers etc. asked him for furniture and cabinets and bookcases, did finish carpentry for homes well up in his 70's he was asked by named.

So, wear your helmet, children. I wore mine and when I somersaulted over the handlebars of my mountain bike onto asphalt at speed, all I got was a mild TBI and a shoulder separation, and a few blood blisters. No hospital stay, no extensive rehab, everything's working fine today. Otherwise, I'd be dead.

Full anaesthetic lowers the blood oxygen and can be very detrimental to older patients. Dont minimize the risks. She was absolutely right to evaluate what she wanted for herself.

It is also known - at least nowadays - that ga can highten the cerebal beta amyloid deposits in elderly patients which play a big role in alzheimers dementia. And then there is the risk of POD & POCD. So I can understand when someone who has relatives with memory issues is concerned about getting a ga.
@ajpthequeen

💯 agree. The risk was not worth it with the kind of injury she had. My mom had to have several surgeries due to breast cancer and it spread up her dementia immensely and was gone shortly after.

Elbow injuries are really fickle. Some types of injuries will not even show up in XRay images. That was what happened in my case. It needed a CT scan to figure out that a piece of bone had broken off and was (still is) floating around in the joint. The XRay looked clear, according to the doctor. But since there was still pain that was not explained with soft tissue injuries, he ordered a CT scan. I had very limited ROM and substantial swelling when I got sent to the radiologist. Told them I cannot move the arm further than maybe a few degrees in either direction from right angle . I tried positioning myself as best I could on the stretcher that goes in the tube. But then this idiot nurse who had seemed in a terrible rush suddenly came in and saw fit to grab my wrist and actually try to push and force the arm down into a straight position. Which was....extremely painful. It also did not work. The joint was locked and would not budge. I yelled out in pain and then may have used "outside voice" and some pretty colorful language to ask her what in the name of the hell she thought she was doing. I came very, very close to punching her when she did not let go initially. Bear in mind, it was not even clear at the time what exactly was wrong. But trying to force a limb into a position that is so painful despite very clear protests from the patient (me) hardly seems conducive to the diagnostic process. I know we should be thankful for everyone who works in the medical field, but some people are maybe best put to use in other capacities. I have never been that angry at medical staff. But that lady did it.

My mom had a heart procedure under full anesthetic. She came out of it with paralyzed vocal cords, a very rare complication of having a breathing tube. She can talk now, but she could barely whisper for weeks and weeks and, even now, only one of her vocal cords works normally. While it isn't a good reason not to have surgery under full anesthetic, it is something to think about.

I think it’s odd we take it for granted that young men are going to drive dangerously on their motorcycles like it’s a god given right. The expense, the heartache and the hardship and having somebody maybe have to take care of you for the rest of your life if you are in an accident is something people just accept. I don’t get it. I don’t get that level of selfishness.

No, you would be surprised at the number of older people who lose their marbles after a surgery. The anesthesia drops their blood oxygen way down and causes brain damage. It happened to my grandmother.
@ajpthequeen
@ajpthequeen 7 месяцев назад
That is wildly inaccurate! It is well documented that being put under can have devastating consequences on an elderly brain! My mother went through it, but she didn’t have a choice but to have surgeries. The risk isn’t worth it if you can avoid the anesthesia and it isn’t anything to laugh and joke about. I lost my mother shortly after the surgery and when she came out of it, she didn’t recognize us and was hallucinating and in constant panic, not knowing where she was. Maybe when you’re commenting on videos like this exercise a bit of sensitivity. You don’t know what those reading you making fun of things have been through.

I love LOVE STORIES. My husband said he knew he loved me at first sight. My best friend knew him (They went to high school together. I went to a different high school.) before I ever saw him. Her dad was a preacher and became the preacher of my church. I had met a married couple that was her friends from high school also. I didn’t have any boy friends. I was concentrating on going to college (to nursing school). I didn’t have time for dating. My friend and her married friends had set up a blind date for me at a steakhouse for a Saturday night. I didn’t know. I thought that my friend and I were meeting her married couple friends for supper but her high school male friend showed up, which was supposed to have been her “boyfriend” I didn’t know about. A blind date didn’t show up that I didn’t know they had set up for me. We all had a great time laughing and eating and talking. I drive my friends back home. I had to get home because I had to study and had a clinical and a conference to go to that weekend. I was living in an apartment by myself and on my voicemail I had a call from the female from the married couple. She said the guy wanted my number and he wants to go on a date with me. I called her and asked? “Is he not going with ‘A’?” She said, “No! Never! They have only been friends. He was is friends with my brother.” Well, I told her to give him my number, but he had to talk with “A” about this and clear things up. It wasn’t 10 minutes later; he called me and I told him the same thing. To call my friend and tell her. It would be two weeks before I can go on a date because of my nursing schedule. He called and left messages on my answering machine every night when I was gone for the convention. When I got back I talked to my friend about what had occurred and about the guy asking me out on a date. I asked her, “Did he come by and talk to you and tell you he was taking me out.” She said, “ Yes.” I told her did we not tell each other in our pack, that the guy had the right to choose which one to he wants to take out? My friend didn’t have anything to do with me. We had talked about being in each other’s wedding and our children being each other’s best friends. I gained a husband and wonderful in-laws and all the beautiful family members that comes with my husband, but I lost the very BEST friend that I had ever had in my life for four years. God puts people in your life for a certain amount of time. We started back communicating five years ago, but we do not have the friendship bond that we had. I would still do anything for her.
