Why? Because they are so loyal they can be served up to be blown to pieces first? Google how many military dogs have been left behind. They are chattel to the US Military. Expendable.
I generally feel more for the dog and here is why... These dogs don't volunteer to join the military, they are forced to do it, and they may even enjoy it but they are forced, people choose to join.
@@googlreviews7813i definitely get what you’re saying, but a lot of these dogs were specifically bred to perform these jobs. It’s in their genetics, & it’s been there since the beginning of their lineage. These are guardian working dogs, & they’re happiest when they’re doing what they’re made to do.
I'm 25 years old i work out 5 days a week, powerlifting work out. I'm 6'4" and I weigh 203 pounds.. and I'm so proud to say that I cried like a little baby :(
I am 46, 235 lbs, powerlifter. Canadian that served in Afghanistan and came into contact with Marines there. And they just don't call anyone a Marine. You are cut from a different cloth. Rico was one of them. RIP Rico.
it's never easy letting a family member, 2 or 4 legs, make that walk to the rainbow. thank you, sir dog, for everything you have done. and your family for everything. we'll once see you on the flip side. you're free of pain, and now hanging with both the big Man and Dog upstairs.
@@soniadlp46 they put him down they didn’t kill him and I now you might say oh well still he was alive but he was in bad shape and would much rather not be there.
What a great dog, he's in his happy place for sure. All dogs go to heaven and a special dog like Rico will always be loved and remembered.. I am sure Rico is having a howling good time and is getting belly rubs and treats when ever he wants. God bless the Marines...
What a beautiful tribute to a dog who did more than his share in life. I believe all dogs go to Heaven. RIP and thank you both for serving our country.
This video crushed my heart 😭 ! Thank you & Rico for your services He was a very intelligent dog & loved you dearly as you did him. His services were so sweet & touching . May God Bless You. 🙏🙏
Do not know how I found this video. I was the Marine XO for the infantry company during a combat deployment in Afghanistan. Rico’s presence gave you a since of humanity during a time of war. He made you feel safe and of course his handler was an outstanding Marine. I will always remember those two. Semper Fi.
I have tears streaming down my face...I have 2 cats and I would be devastated to lose either one...I know the LOVE of a pet and companion...that was an amazing dog...may he REST in peace for eternity.
😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 I lost my dog Max a month ago. He looked exactly like this beautiful creature. Once again I cried and it broke my heart again 🦋🙏😢 RIP Marine !!! I salute you little brother 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢🙏🦋
God bless this hero, and human hero, your reunion in heaven will be forever, thank you both and your dad and grandad for me and my families freedom, we honor you, we salute you and more than words could ever say , we are so grateful.
And on that day, Rico walked the rainbow into gods arms and treated as an angel, now watching that family. Rainbows act as a bridge for all of our loved ones we have lost to cross to heaven and be welcomed by God soon to become guardian Angels. R.I.P. Rico, thank you for all your service
I rarely ever cry but videos like this one bring tears to my eyes. thank you for your service to our country! maybe you will see my dogs that I have lost up in heaven and play with them
I love my dogs, and I like to think I have a good bond with them. But that can't compare to the bond a military handler/military dog have. That's on another level.
There is no honor in sending a dog ahead of you to be blown to pieces. To the US military they are chattel and expendable. Humans do not deserve dogs in general but the military and law enforcement should be ashamed of themselves for using dogs to do the job they signed up for
Being from a military background, its hard to say goodbye to the veteran. Its really hard, no matter what species and positions or ranks they have served as. RIP beloved Rico.
GOD BLESS YOUR FAMILY FOR RECOGNIZING RICOS SERVICE AND LOVE. ITS DO HARD TO LET THEM GO.BUT YOU WILL INDEED SEE HIM ON THE OTHER SIDE.. LONG LIVE THE LOVE YOU SHARED AND THE TENDER MOMENTS THAT YOU REMEMBER. 💜💜💜💜💜💜
